"I have little issue winning fights as I stand, ridiculous hair will be of little use." Shihei glanced back at Yukio and gave him a very unnerving smile. "Besides, I'd really like to not have to worry about punishing you for laughing at me. Wouldn't you agree?"

Yukio gave a rather nervous laugh as he rubbed the back of his head slightly. "yeah i get your point captain, that wouldn't be to good i guess" then he stoped and had a blank look on his face with an eye twitch. "i just realized...my wallet is gone...again..." he sighed "she always takes my money and buys more candy with it, captain can you please adopt me so i don't have to feel bad about not seeing her again?" he said half joking half not.

"Adopt you?" He asked as he reached inside his jacket and pulled out a small pouch. "Here..." Shihei handed Yukio some money. "Do you really want me to adopt you? After all, you've never heard from my son, have you?" With that, the captain resumed his stroll, stepping down onto the moist grass with his bare feet.

Yukio grabbed the money "you don't have to give me this captain." then it hit him and he got a look of shock on his face "c-captain you have a son?!?!" 'is he messing with me or not...i can never tell with him' he thought to himself. "well you couldn't be worse then my mom who tackles me, makes fun of me, steels from me, and when i was a kid she lost me god knows how many times."

"I know that I don't have to, but I want to." Shihei put his hands behind his back as he made his way towards the koi pond. "Yes, I have had two sons. One of which isn't among us anymore, the other is an active shinigami." He came to a subtle stop alongside the pond as a small gust of wind blew across him. "While you resent your mother now.... trust me. Later on, when everything comes to a close, you will miss her very much. You don't know what you have until it's gone."

"Yeah thats what those two friends of hers tell me to, you know the bald one and the gay one." he said with a small laugh. "i'm sorry to hear that one of your sons is no longer among us captain if i had known then i wouldn't have brought it up captain."

"It's fine, Yukio. You didn't know. Besides, I have long since moved on." Shihei rubbed the side of his neck as he watched a bird fly over, almost wishing he too could fly as the bird. "You may get to meet the other one though, my youngest is quite ambitious. I've heard that he is being considered to becoming a new captain. I can't say anything for certain though."

Yukio gave a whistle "a captain huh? that's impressive. I sure do feel bad for him if he becomes one though. I don't know how you captains do it, so much paper work, responsibility, hell i hardly have enough work ethic to be a vice captain i would die as a captain." he said as he to watched the bird and being rather happy he couldn't fly, it would be a lot of work to fly he thought and that didn't sound fun.

"You hardly notice the work after awhile. It becomes routine, thus becoming part of your daily life." Shihei looked back towards Yukio. "Though I guess that is exactly what you don't want, right? As for the apparent impressiveness of him becoming a captain. It is only due to him being trained by our former Captain commander just before his death. Besides that, he had also taken every class possible in the academy. Unlike the majority of us who focus on one or two particular areas, he went for it all. It took him three times the normal time it takes to graduate. Like I said, he is ambitious. He could certainly defeat me in a battle if it came down to... well... maybe... possibly.."

Yukio laughed a little "i'm sure you would win in the fight captain, after all you are strong otherwise you wouldn't be a captain." just then Yukio's monkey jumped onto his shoulder and Yukio looked at it. "About time you wake up and get out here you lazy thing." it just gave Yukio a look and sound that seemed to be like a shut up.
