Josh smiled and laughed a bit. "Its fine.. it may have burnt my pants but it wont really burn me. Im a bit weird..." He laughed again and held his arm close to the blow torch. The heat waves from the flame reflected off his skin showing thin clear scales. "My whole body is covered in them.. though they dont show up unless under certain circumstances." His smile grew wider, saying that she didnt have to feel bad cause she didnt know about his scales.

Pyra watched Josh with curiosity as he practically burned himself with the torch. She was silent for a moment as she got over the surprise. "I see...I'm not used to people like me, I guess," she said with a shrug, not knowing what else to say. That was new though, never before had she taken the heat of something else and absorbed it in herself. She didn't know that she could do that, or even how she did it. Either way, the heat that she had absorbed felt forgien to her so she knew exactly which heat to rid herself of, though, she didn't know how she did that either.
Once again, she found herself in a state of confusion or at least a state of mind where she searched for answers. She continued to mold the metal, making waves like an ocean in a picture in some areas and flattening other areas, she didn't know what she was making, she didn't know a lot of things.

He looked over to her. "You ok?.. You look as if something is bothering you..." the metal stretched out more in his hands, turning a soft orange from the flames.

Pyra glanced at Josh and nodded slightly. "Yeah," she said quietly and took a break from molding. Her flames went out on her hands and she took a step back. "Everything just doesn't make sense...I don't even know how I did what I just did. I don't know how I took the heat, but I know I did, and it didn't feel like the heat I have." She shrugged. "Many things I just don't understand. But I will, I'll know just as much as everyone else soon...I'll catch up," she said with a smile of confidence. She would learn, she would understand and then she wouldn't be so confused. She knew it would be a hard road but it's what she wanted.

His normal happy smile grew even wider. "Glad to see you are getting happier about things." He reached over and patted her on the shoulder. "And if you dont figure it out.. so what? There are still things about my powers I cant figure out, and may never figure out. Comes with being weird like us.. weird in a good way of course" Josh laughed happily. The metal they were working on was starting to take shape, of what they werent sure yet. "Looks great so far!"

"Happy," she asked then shrugged. "Just determined...one day I will know just as much." She paused and lit her hands again to begin molding once more. "I've always wanted to go to school..."

"Well now you get your chance" Josh laughed a bit more as he pulled on the metal a bit more. "Hey you never know, you might end up finding a boyfriend around here too"

Pyra glanced at Josh, once again confused and feeling really stupid for not fully understanding. "You're a boy," she said simply. "Are we friends," she asked, she had never had a friend before. Mostly enemies or people that she hated, never a friend, not yet. How did one know that they were in a friendship?

He smiled wide. "Of course we are. But I kinda meant you finding a boyfriend as in a relationship type thing.." Josh winked at her and smiled more with a slight laugh.

Pyra's confused look turned to one of unsuredness. "I don't think anyone would like me," she paused for a second before continuing with a quieter voice. "I don't even like me, and I'm stuck with me."
She smiled slightly at her comment and stopped molding. Her mind started to wander across the vast amount of things that she didn't like about herself. Many of them, she doubted anyone knew. Other than her short temper, no one really knew her.

Josh watched her out of the corner of his eye as she stood there. "Honestly?..from what i know about you already, if I wasnt already with Nicky, I would probably ask you out" He smiled and laughed slightly again. "And Im pretty picky about the girl I would be with... so, I know there are tons of guys that would jump at the chance to be with you."

Pyra shrugged. "Maybe, maybe not," she replied. "I do not want anyone to like me like that right now," she continued with all honesty. "People like other people who are smart and have control of their powers....that person isn't me yet. Not yet." She glanced around the garage and noticed the different vehicles in it. Some were motorcycles, others were cars, trucks, vans or jeeps. She wondered why anyone would have so many cars in one place. Again she shrugged and turned back to the sculpture. "What do you think it looks like," she asked after studying the metal for a moment.

Pyra wasn't sure that she had ever seen an elephant before so she decided to take his word for it. She glanced at both sections, his sort off looked like an animal with a really long nose, which she assumed be an elephant, hers looked like water or blades of grass with a palm tree. She scrunched her nose and sighed. "Mine looks like a tree," she said with a raise eyebrow.
