At this point, she was the strongest. But she wouldn't be at some point, and she would hope that someone would challenge her. Just not now. She smiled a laughed a little at what Slayne said. "Good. You wouldn't win. I didn't become Alpha for no reason."

"I wouldn't dream of it, boss." He said poinently, twisting his neck making sure that no one could hear him, "You acctualy do a realy great job at this. You think about things instead of just jumping into action... I seem to be the only one who cares about that though."

Jade was struck by what Slayne said to her. She knew, had always known, that he held a certain respect for her. But then, she had thought that it was because he was to afraid of her to show anything but respect. It was weird and awkward that she would actually meet someone who was afraid of her, but respected her because of the type of leader she was. She actually smiled a full, small smile at him. "Thank you."

A crack came form nearby, causing Slayn to shift immidiately, "Just a rabbit..." One of the pups would get it, Slayn's belly was full enough at the moment.

Jade was taken out of her thoughts by that noise. Her father was sick, and she had to be getting home to take care of him. Of course, the pack didn't know that. "I must bid you a good day Slayne." She turned and loped quickly out of the woods, going home.

Curiocity overwhelmed Slayn. Why did she always leave like that? It would be rude to follow her but.. He couldn't stop himself once he took off. Silence was his best wepon, not even Jade could hear him...

Jade would have been oblivious to anything that was following her, even if she had been able to hear it. Thoughts of her father and his rapidly decreasing health had her scared, and she ran the rest of the way home, getting into the house quickly. "Father, are you alright."

A house? This seemed much too odd... Slayn hid under the stairs, trying to hear what was being said up there. Mabie this would help him figure out Jade...

Jade's father was kept in the living room, on a makeshift bed because that was the best they had. Being an alpha didn't exactly help her have a nice house and health for her dad, so they did their best. SHe was sitting beside him, soothing him as he rolled in pain on the bed.

Someone was in pain... It was horrible pain, bassed on the screams... It didnt sound like fighting though, supriseingly... what was happening?

Finally, her father was able to fall into a fitful sleep, to forget the pain, even if only for a short while. Only then would Jade let a few tears fall. She was a strong person, but the fact that her father was dying was the only thing that would ever make her cry.

Jade moved around the house, cleaning for lack of anything better to ease her mind. She thought about going out and getting wasted, but that wasn't going to help anything and she knew that. So, she stayed home/

The pack was begining to wounder where their leader was... Slayn kept his mouth closed wanting Jade to be left alone...

There was nothing Jade could do for her father now except for leave him and let him sleep. So she got outside and shifted to a wolf, before bounding into the woods. It didn't take her long to get to her pack.
