Does anybody remember when the PS3 came out?? My cousin in Chicago sent me a video of people waiting to get the PS3 and when they opened it was a mad dash and I saw at least 4 people stepped on repeatedly and my cousin said that 2 people in the chicagoland area were killed. Another testament to the materialistic needs of all humans. sad It deeply saddens me what human morals are coming to.

I say this at least 1000 times a day. All this s**t is a result of capitalism. Material conditions give rise to ideology. One cannot come up with the concept of a tree without first perceiving one. The only remedy is the abolition of private property.

All of you have very good points and we can all agree that capitalism is awful and that Trotskyism is the hope of the world.

You blame the savage behavior in the first quote on Capitalism. I meant animal as a metaphor, not literally.

Man, Nokturn, I pray you never use animal to refer to beastly human nature again, because damn the whiplash of comments relating solely to it is astounding... *shakes head* Way to steal my thread, d**k XD

Thanksgiving, like all other holidays, has seemed to lost a traditional meaning. What Americans are portrayed as doing on that day is eat food, be with family and watch football. What the hell does that have to do with Thanksgiving? Not much. No celebration of crops there or the help of neighbors. Just family hanging around each other being gluttons and enjoying each other's company (to an extent).

Black Friday is just an excuse to boost Christmas sales. That is not a holiday nor is it a day worth celebrating by going out and shopping. Supports the ever entrenching tie of sales of goods to Christmas.
