I have actually only read Twilight. I swore after I finished it (I barely escaped without retching, by the way) that I would have nothing to do with the Twilight franchise forthwith. I also swore that one day I would give Meyer a very public, humiliating, and memorable piece of my mind at some point as well. She doesn;t get to keep it (the piece of my mind)... I'll just lend it long enough for her to comprehend the insults and then take it back. I'll let you know when I do. But it will probably be all over the news. Think Stephen Kind X10000000000000.

Thank you for the compliments on my character analysis.

Oh! I just realized my stupid typo in my analysis. I said the subsequent two books. I meant three...really, I actually knew what I was talking about for the most part! lol

For the MOST part?
My dear, I would love to hear your opinion on any other quotes that I come up with. If you could squeeze that much out of Twilight, with the pitiful Mary Sue known as "Bella" Swan.
If that's the "most" part, it would be fascinating to see it completely.
...Once more, I went overboard, huh?

When you're ridiculing this waste of paper, it is impossible to go overboard, because the whole franchise is so overboard that it makes us look mild.

Yes, give me a quote and I will happily tear it apart.

its such bull... and you really are having fun picking her apart, but who doesn't have fun with that?

I do it with my characters too. They each get a psych analysis. The fact that I can actually do that, and it takes a few pages, is pretty good. I DARE someone to attempt one for Bella that is longer then three pages.

I take you up on this dare. I was only able to get through the first book without barfing (barely) so I don't have the total on her personality, or, to be accurate, lack thereof, but seeing as nothing happened in the first book I will assume, correctly, that nothing happened in the subsequent two novels.

Bella's Psych Analysis.

First thing we learn about Bella: she is from Phoenix, Arizona. Much like Meyer. Next we learn that she thinks she should be tan and play volleyball. Why? Because she lives and Phoenix and that's totally what everyone is/does there!

Again, like the author, she displays the need to fit in while having no talent with which to do so and no meaningful goals in life.

She reaches her new high school. Bella's dad: Hey! Have a truck! Bella: Wow, I really like this truck! I have no life and no personality! Bella gets into class and immediately every boy has a crush on her. Do I detect some narcissism? I believe I do. Everyone is attracted to her...but the boy she sits next to, who, typically, she is attracted to. And guess what the first thought that goes through her mind is? Do I smell bad? I mean, WTF? DO I SMELL BAD? I mean, where is her BRAIN? Oh, right, nonexistent. I forgot.

Anyway, it's the BOY that obviously has problems, not her, but typically she is far too stupid to realize that. Skip to the part where Bella and Eds get together. All she can think about is him. Eds is her life, which either tells us that Meyer is an extremely obsessive person, or she just can't write characters with interesting goals or personalities. Or both. Actually, I'm quite sure it is both. I know this was supposed to be a Bella psych analysis, but I really regard Bella and Smeyer as intertwined, because Meyer is incapable of writing anything that does not reflect her own personality (and sick sexual fantasies) 100%. I find it quite ironic that she considers her writing to be character-driven. I mean, where are the CHARACTERS? You know, with CHARACTER.

The above statement renders this entire effort a waste. Trying to inject Bella, or any of Smeyer's other time-wasters, with any personality or interest at all is like trying to divide by zero. In other words: good luck.

wow. that was godly!! you win an internets.

Heh. Thanks.

I'm morbidly interested in meeting Meyer, actually. Is that weird? I would wear tight clothes because she's fat (I'm borderline skinny) and it would be a Silent Esteem Bashing. But yeah, is that weird?

According to her, if the characters aren't perfect and sparkly, it's not worth it. And NOTHING beats her own books. Or at least in the bubble she lives in.

How could she have not read other vampire books. Is she scared she might get some tasteful ideas for her own hack writing, which could improve it maybe. So she gets upset if it's too much like her books and upset if it isn't like her books. What a baby, it would be a sin if she got her head out of her a**. I'd like to beat her with her stupid Twilight book. stressed
