To my understanding meat is muscle, and vegetarians don't eat any meat, no matter what animal it came from, so no, I don't think fish are vegetarian. It's more of a pescetarian thing.

Well.. I suppose it depends on WHY you became a vegetarian. If you became a vegetarian because you love animals and can't bear to see them slaughtered (like me), then you deffinitely would not eat fish. But on the other hand, if you became a vegetarian for health reasons and to be healthy, then I guess you would eat fish. But by the way, an article in the Vegetarian Starter Kit (get one at www.goveg.com), states that fish are NOT health foods. They are filled with bacteria and can contain diseases. So, don't eat fish either way. The fish will thank you for it.

Did you know PETA did a test and fish can feel pain. Even though they are not considered meat, it's still is painful for them to be cooked alive. I only eat soy vegan meats and avoid white sugar... can I please join ur awsome guild?
