I've heard a few people say that Dragon Quarter was a great game, but I because frustrated at the beginning and gave up because I couldn't put up with it. What's your opinion? neutral Should I pick it up again?

supa_bekka The first BoF for the game boy advance? That's the only version of that BoF that I've played haha. The only really cool thing about the GBA version was the ability to run out-of-battle. Well, that and I could play it on the can rolleyes The original BoF had unique menus (both out and in battle) that used pictures instead of words; they used to look completely different from 2's. (2's battle menus didn't used to look like the GBA version's either; it was at the bottom of the screen, FF-style). Also, you could customize the Y and X buttons to go straight into a certain menu. For instance, you could have it so X takes you straight into your Items menu. You can also back out of all menus with Start, iirc. At this point though, you'll probably have to try it out on emulator or wait until it comes out on the Wii download service.

Oregano Samurai I've heard a few people say that Dragon Quarter was a great game, but I because frustrated at the beginning and gave up because I couldn't put up with it. What's your opinion? neutral Should I pick it up again? Well. It is a pretty hard game. I liked it, though. I don't know if I'll ever take the time to play it all the way through, but I definitely wouldn't discount it just 'cause your frustrated. :] I'd say give it a try again. You might like it this time.
Mage: I had no idea they changed it that much. I had found it at a Game Stop for $6, and I loved BoF3 so I bought it.

Oh, and BoF1's enemy lifebars used to stretch across the whole screen and would change color as they dropped. Example here. Nina's rapier stab took a lot longer and was more like her jabbing them in the head, haha. Compare with the new stuff here (note this epic video is rather long in full).

Breath of fire IV and III are my favorites. I've completed 4, but have yet to finish 3. I can't get past the blasted Desert! I don't understand the directions. *sob*

That's exactly where I am on my game, I'd rather do other stuff (such as fishing, leveling etc) than attempt it. Plus I'm not looking forward to what comes after that part, the battle with Teepo...I get too attached to the characters sometimes sweatdrop

It's a tossup for me between the original and Dragon Quarter.
