Coranna was just reaching for a cup of milk as Mia asked her the question. She froze. The only part of her that moved was her head, as she turned to look at Mia. "I read a document that I should not have. Now I know something that the Empire would absolutely hate to be released. Their answer to this is to kill me before I tell anyone else." Turning her head back, she finished reaching for the milk and brought it up to her lips and took a sip. She scrunched her face a bit at the bitterness.

Mia sighed as she drak some of the milk. "Your part of a rebellion now though they will want you dead either way. What did the document say?" She felt horrible but she needed to know. Knowing something that the empire didn't want leaked out would be a nice weapon for bolstering their troops or getting the rebellion moving further.
Nya took some milk too but before Mia could sya anything she gulped it down. "Weird the milk seems to be a bit bad... maybe the cow ate something funny." Nya laid down on the couch after that though and munched on some cheese. "Cheese is good I love cheese. Cheese has milk in it and I think that becauise I am a cat type person milk is the best. which makes cheese better."
Mia gave a small sigh and tuned Nya out. For all she knew Nya wouldn't get over such a dose for a while. But at least Nya was lying down and wouldn't want to move around a lot.

Coranna kept her composition despite the annoying interrogation. "I can't tell. If I tell me you'll be hunted just like me. And trust me, I'm much higher on the kill list than any rebel of yours. Number one I don't doubt. If I tell you you'll be right up there with me. Plus, this isn't the right time. I'll tell everyone when it's fit. Right now, it's not quite fit. But the way things seem to be going, it'll be sometime soon." As she was about to raise her drink to her lips again, what Nya had said entered her mind. Bitter milk... God DAMN! She, being a Tengu, knew much about poisons and drugs, and not to catch one on the first swig angered her greatly. Not only that, but for Mia to use it on her nearly infuriated her. Placing down the drink with a steady hand, she turned her head and gave Mia a stone gaze. "And that is that, I suggest that you don't pursue this topic any further."

Mia sighed,"I will let you talk to some tengu's of th rebellion and others. We can go to the farms where we make our food and show you round there. But the actual place is quite a hike from here. But I know some people you might want to meet and get acquainted with." Mia picked up the dishes and even took Coranna's milk from her. "There is colder milk or water over there." She pointed to the jugs in water that was treated with magic to keep it cold for a long time. even though she figured Coranna might suspect soemthing was off she didn't think she would do a direct back attack. But turning her back to a potential hostile person gave her the chills. But she did to put the dishes up and wsh her hands.
Nya had ceased her babling finding no one was listening to her. But she did start meowing in diffrent tunes to herself because they sounded nice to her. Maybe not to the others who were listening but she didn't care.

Mia's nice plans for the day barely cooled Coranna off. She stayed sitting where she was, holding in her anger so that she wouldn't erupt. Keeping a straight face, she managed to talk. "Meeting some other tengu will be nice, and I've never been to a farm." As drinks were offered again, she eyed them curiously. "No, I think I've had enough milk for today." She didn't want to be tricked into drinking anything else. "Will we be leaving soon? I wouldn't might stretching my wings." Plus flying was one of the few things that calmed her.

Mia nodded,"Yeah I think we should leave Nya behind though." Nya was lightly snoring on the couch now. Mia was a bit cautious but it seemed like Coranna hadn't noticed the drug. She hadn't taken a large enough dose for it to work either so it wouldn' affect her system. Maybe her talking to other Tengu would get the information out of her eventually. She was freinds with one close enough to know that he would tell her anything he deemed important. They would go to him first. The only problem was he was sly and he would tell you something important if you played his word games. Coranna would most likely like him though. All the other girl tengu seemed to. She headed out the door to lead Coranna to him,"His name is Dras. He is a tengu like you and I figured you would like to fly aorund with him some maybe. Its his favirote thing to do. So you will have some time to yourself as well for today he will show you around if you like. Or I can show you to the farms after your visit either way is fine with me."

"That'd be nice." Was all she said in reply. She still wasn't in the mood for conversation, and she was feeling a bit woozy from the drug. Shaking her head, she finally gave in. "Dear god! What drug did you put in that milk? My head's woozy only after a few freakin' sips!" She bonked herself in the head with the palm of her head, as if trying to get it out of her head. "Give me the recipe please! With it I could probably knock out an entire army for a month with only a single glass." She was slowly getting over the betrayal, and was actually more keen now on figuring out what the heck it was so she could use it. As long as it was to her advantage, she didn't mind.

Mia held up a bag that was at her hip since there was no point in lying. "Its hard to come by but its from a swamp plant that lives on the bottom. Every so often it comes up to the top. Then you have to take that and dry it out which takes a week. You then grind it up into powder. It desolves in any liquid at that point. Its called Scyme. A rare equvalient to...well pond scum." Mia lifted some up. "But, water downs it a lot and doesn't hide it enough while it disolves. I only found it a while back because of Nya and her water magic. Its very valuable as well." She paused,"If you knew this whole time then why didn't you attack me?"

"If you had meant to drug me to sleep then you wouldn't have taken away the milk. So that means you didn't really mean me any harm. Plus, what would I gain from attacking you? But, you do realize I won't trust you as much." Coranna eyed the bag curiously, the temptation to steal it was high, but she knew that this wasn't the time. She continued to follow Mia.

Mia nodded. "Well sleeping wouldn't have benifted either of us. Its understandable, just don't tell Nya about any of this. I don't want her corrupted by this power pull. Especially now. I can't stick around here too long if they are still searching for bandits. This place is always a big hit for them. Which means for now we will have just a mutual agreement of survival. You need me to get to the bandit hideout and I need you to keep me away from Nya a lot. If she see's I'm gone a lot maybe she will wish to stay here and not go with. I smell war soon anyways." Mia shut-up for a moment. "We are here." She pointed to a higher up place. There were steep stairs to get to the ave that seemed cut out of th side of the mountian. "It's easier to fly I bet. I'll meet you up there if you like."

"Okay, and I won't, but she won't stay uncorrupted for long in this world. Don't shelter her too much." Before Mia could even reply, Coranna spread her wings and launched herself into the air. Within only a few seconds, she was sitting on the ledge, watching Mia make her ascent.

Mia gave a nod and started the long climb up the steep steps. She knew he didn't like many none winged people coming forward thats why he made the stairs hurt when you climbed up them.
A ruffle was heard and the curtian was pulled back to reveal a very sleek male tengu. His feathers were a bit ruffled then they smoothed in amusement. "Your a new face." He looked and saw Mia climbing the stairs. "Your her guest then?" He sat beside her. His feathers were a very dark black. "My name is Bry. What might a lovely lady as yourself be called by?"
Mia huffed to the very top and gave a sigh sitting down and leaning her back on the mountian wall letting them talk while she caught her breath.

Coranna turned to Bry, her eyes casting a quick glance up and down before she replied. "Coranna, and yeah, I'm her guest." As Mia reached the top, she cast her gaze over to her, then down to the mountain trail. "Jeez, either you need to get in shape Mia, or that thing is hell." Most tengu females would probably be swooning over Bry by now, but Coranna was a hard one to impress. Plus she was still slightly sour from before.

Bry chuckled at Coranna's comment to Mia.
Mia just sighed,"I hate your stairs Bry. You made them that way on purpose."
Bry smirked,"Well I did finally get satirs remember before?"
"Yeah I would have to throw the mail up onto the ledge with the help of someoe who knew wind magic IF I could find someone."
"It did stop a lot of nonsense seekers from annoying me I find no fault inthe method. Anyways, since you so kindly jumped up ehre I do have some water inside but I think I wish to strecth my wings with the guest you brought me. Unless she would like to come inside as well." Bry hadn't been flying today it was rare of him to not do so in the day but he was willing to give up some of his flying time for her.

Coranna glanced at Bry, and then to Mia. Bry was being unsually polite, well, at least nobody had ever been so polite to her before. But maybe this was normal for Tengu? She wasn't exactly sure how to respond. She ended up sticking with what she knew, "Maybe later? I wouldn't want to leave Mia alone, and also I'm a little thirsty too. I didn't have much to drink this morning." She gave Mia a sly smirk, as if the drugging was some sort of inside joke.
