Keishi smiled at Yoh.
"Very nice to meet you Yoh, but why do you looked troubled all of a sudden? You were doing something today weren't you? Or are you free?"
Keishi paused and then realized that he was supposed to do something too. But what? Getting to what he needed to do was why he ran into Parisu and Yoh in the first place. He pondered for a moment, then checked his calendar on his phone; nothing. Sighing, Keishi looked around the park, seeing if there was much of a crowd, but still keeping his attention on his two new aquaintences.

The area of the park that she was in was secretive and secluded. Before phasing into the other world, Mari had been reading some books behind a hedge, where nobody could see her. There was a book in her lap--Crime and Punishment by Dostoevsky. It was heavy in her hands as she placed it into her bag. She felt tired, and slightly dazed. The world seemed a bit blurry, but she still managed to make her way out into the central area of the park, where others seemed to be gathering and talking. She rubbed her eyes to rid them of the blur and sleep. Was that all just a dream?. Mari took out her phone and noticed that Kai, Shinosuke, Faust, and Haoul were all listed under 'Friends'. She put her phone back into her pocket solemnly. It was all real. I told them that I had killed before...it wasn't a dream... She cursed to herself, thinking that she should have never told them, nobody was supposed to know. Nobody but her. Nobody. Mari reached into her bag and found her stuffed rabbit safe and sound without a scratch on him. She let out a sigh of relief and began to walk even closer to the heart of the park. She had to cross through the entirety of it in order to get to her house which was just a little ways past the park itself.

Out of the corner of Keishi's eye, he noticed a girl step out of the bushes. His lookout had paid off. but it was odd to Keishi, why was a girl so well dressed crawling out from behind a bush? It was as if she just woke up. Keishi watched her carefully. He had seen that dizziness before, but did not want to act, so instead, he just stood silently.

Mari rubbed some dirt off of her clothes. Her parents would be looking for her, wouldn't they? Time passed much slower here while Mari was in the other world. She was there for what felt like ages, but barely any time had gone by at all. Still, she wanted to see them. She missed them terribly. Mari began to get prickles up and down her back and on her neck. She knew someone had been watching her, and turned around sharply to see who it was. But she saw no one, at least not within her direct line of vision. But she felt it, indeed she did. She took her phone out of her pocket to call her parents to let them know she'd be home soon. Mari called them hastily and pressed the phone lightly against her ear. Her mother, Junko, picked up on the other end. "Mother! I miss hearing your voice...no I'm alright. Yes, I fell asleep in the park again. Was I gone long? ...oh I see, then it wasn't that long at all, huh? How's Dad? Oh that's good. Maybe we can have some kimchi jigae for dinner...yeah, I can pick up the ingredients on the way home. Yes...that would be nice too. Okay, momma. I love you too. See you soon!" Mari hung up the phone and smiled. She had missed her parents so much.

As this curious girl turned around abruptly, so did Keishi, as to not be found out. Then it occured to him. It was obvious really. Judging by what Keishi could make out as her current mental awareness, the drowsy movement, and her discomfort with her surroundings right now, it was obvious to him that she had just got back from the other world too. Attempting to not draw too much attention to himself and the others, Keishi asked calmly and casually.
"hey, by any chance have you seen that girl over there before? She looks kinda familiar. Well?"
He felt that the question was innocent enough, he just hoped he was right about her, so that his mind could be at rest, and to prove that he was right, again.

Yoh had just faintly remembered about her stuffed animal. She had left it 'over there.' I left it there for a readon...calm down... She let out a sigh, and looked over at the other girl at Keishi spotted. "N-no, i haven't...but..." ...there's this strange feeling about her...

A gust of wind blew through the park. It was sweet smelling like lavender, and Mari inhaled deeply when it engulfed her. She forgot how much she had missed the real world. She felt like she had been in that strange other realm for decades. Turning on her heels, she trotted forward in the direction of three people who were standing together near a tree. Her house was just past them a ways, and she was eager to get home to see her mother and father. As she walked by the young, energetic girl of the group, she felt analyzed. A feeling of nakedness and hyper awareness washed over her. She stopped just before completely passing her. "W-were...y-you guys watching me? I h-h-had this strange feeling..."

Keishi nodded in acceptance of Yoh's response.
"Oh, it is probably just my imagination then."
Laughing a little, he had not realized that the girl had approached them all. As he stopped laughing, there was a pause before she spoke. Keishi did not want to seem suspicious. What if this girl was not one of them? What if she was just sleeping in a bush for some odd reason, and had never heard of persona or the other world. He knew what to do in order to see if he was right. He pulled out his key and showed it to her. His key did not look a normal house key, but at the same time it could pass as an excentric person's key. But if this person had in fact been to the other world, she would be able to tell the importance of it. But Keishi did need to lie initially about it. The key's head appeared to resemble a book with a small book. The outstreched part just looked normal though. It did however glisten otherworldly when Keishi held it up by the chain it was attached to.
"Sorry, but by any chance does this key belong to you? I found it nearby, and as you can tell it doesn't really seem "usual" and with all due respect you seemed a little unusual too, seeing how you woke up in a bush; so we thought that maybe it was yours, but we didn't know how to approach you with it."
Keishi's miniature scheme was in action. He hoped that she would react as he had anticpated. Keishi did not want to be wrong.

"I'm s-sorry...I had fallen asleep while r-reading Crime and Punishment, you know how dense that book is--but it was entirely worth it, of course. I didn't realize that I looked so...so strange." Mari looked down at her form self-consciously and pulled a twig off of her shirt. She also had a leaf sticking out of her hair, but she didn't notice that it had planted itself within her white locks. "I..." Mari reached into her pocket and produced an ornate, beautiful little key with a card motif on the end of the handle. It gave off an eerie lavender glow when held up to the light. "This...this is mine. I...I got it in..." Mari was at a loss for words, and looked up suddenly to stare into the boy's eyes. Her gaze pierced him, but was gentle in it's approach. First, they wandered across his face, and then directly connected with the boy's own eyes. She was searching for something there. Maybe an answer, maybe just a bit of truth. Maybe a sign to show her that she was, indeed, far saner than she had previously thought.

Yoh tilted her head at the way she spoke. In a way...she kinda reminds me of myself... The 'little' girl walked up to the silver-haired other, and let out her hand. "I'm Miyoki Tiongson! But you can call me Yoh! Pleased to meet you!" She gave a warm, cheerful smile. She felt she hasn't cheered up in a while.

Keishi was a little taken aback by this girl's staring. He shook it off and put his key away. He smiled and stuck out his hand as well.
"My name's Keishi, K for short. It must be surprising to see more peopel in your situation so close by."
Keishi attempted to break the ice with warm hearted talk. He was also delighted to meet someone who shared his passion for literature. He laughed a little more.
"Ah yes, I can see that happening. It is quite the book indeed."

"N-nice to meet you, Yoh and K. M-my name is Mari Fushigi." Mari said as she shook Yoh's hand and then turned to Keishi and shook his. She pulled away gently and clutched her hand to her chest. "It's m-my second favorite n-novel ever." She gave Keishi a small smile, and then opened her mouth as if to speak. The pause wasn't very long, but it felt heavy and seemed to stretch on forever. "My s-situation? You...you know about the Other World?"

Keishi chuckled a bit to himself at Mari's comment regarding the other world.
"Nice to meet you Mari. We do indeed know about the other world. These two have been there only once but I have been going there for a long time. How long have you been going there for? My guess is this was your first time too, wasn't it?"
Keishi pulled out his phone from his laptop bag. He opened it and sent a message. He then put it away and came back to the conversation.

"I-it was my first time..." Mari said nervously while looking down at her shoes. Her phone began to vibrate, so she took the ancient hunk of plastic out of her pocket and saw that it was a text message from Faust. She smiled, as he seemed to be worried about her, and wanted to know how she was doing. She replied to him, saying that he shouldn't worry and she's feeling fine, if not a little tired. Her fingers flew rapidly over the keys as she asked him where he lived. I really want to see him. I hope he's doing okay. I'm glad he made it out. But then again, he had been there before, so I shouldn't be worrying about him. But still...
"W-what exactly is that p-place?"
