Observing that his attack had done its intended effect, Dimitri gave one mighty shove against the remaining shield and ricocheted off of it just as it shattered beneath him.

He was curious how his enemy had escaped so quickly and then remembered Raigon, the werewolf from his first match and the way he managed to teleport short distances through psychic energy.

He paused only for a moment to regard the pain that was running rampant on his insides and considered calling upon the Healing Winds to remove it. Dimitri shook his head visibly though, knowing he could only perform that spell once per battle and these wounds were hardly life-threatening. He would save that for later.

Returning his view back to his opponent, he temporarily slid his blades back into their natural state and placed it back into its sheath. Drawing on the power of the skies themselves, wind rushed down onto and around his body. He focused his mind into forming four cyclonic discs, roughly two feet in diameter that took shape around both of his arms. They began to whir loudly as the vortexes began to spin at blinding speed.

Grasping the first two discs, he shouted as he hurled the first one level to the ground, vertically tearing through the earth, slicing through the stone as if it were butter, ever-intent on reaching its target. Only a moment later, he followed the attack with the second and third disc, which the former he loosed into the air at an angle, sending it curving widely along the outer rim of the arena while the latter was launched slightly above eye level.

He kept the last disc safe with him until he could determine his opponent's next move. Those vortexes would hunt for the troll until they found their mark and split him in pieces or they were destroyed in the process.

Yata took to his stance as Dimitri pulled from the winds four mighty cyclones that wrapped around his person. His snickered softly to himself. Two holy knights before him, and most of them used some form of the same trick. Yata, however, would not let such a wind-powered form get to him.
As fast as they were, Yata could follow their movements, and so he would find away to use them against his opponent...or at least make him waste the extra energy.
Yata charged the first one, using his teleporting ability to blink through it in it's trajectory, and continued his running to the second one, and doing the same as the first to the second, and the second to the third.
The troll didn't stop there however, as he teleported right behind Dimitri.
"Well, hello there."
The troll said, palm right behind the holy knight's back as he gave a quick charge of purple energy, ready to fire at Dimitri point blank.

Dimitri couldn't help but grin as the troll made his snide remark behind him as he appeared. He had prepared for such a possibility. He clutched the remaining cyclonic disc and turned to him.

"Greetings, I hope you do know that those discs- yes, the ones you just avoided- are controlled by me and they are returning for you right now. I expect they'll cut through me in a few moments to get to you so I think it would be wise if you-"

With a sudden jump, Dimitri leaped into the air and converted the remaining disc into pure wind energy and took to the sky, never taking his view from his enemy.
The three discs were in unison now, all tearing through ground and sky, eager to reach their destination.

Spreading his arms out to their full wingspan, reaching to the heavens, he closed his eyes and turned his head upwards for just a moment then turned back to Yata and yelled the conclusion of his previous statement,

"Gaze into the eyes of the Avatar!"

Piercing light flashed brilliantly from his eyes as he roared. That light was powerful enough to blind a human or humanoid for days. He was uncertain how it would effect the troll, but it could most certainly not hurt...

Perfect...
Yata thought sinisterly as his opponent quickly took to the skies. His first goal, however, was to disperse the cyclone.
Yata Gathered energy in his now balled fist, sending a decent amount of energy into the ground, and from it, three rather large pillars of rock embedded with explosive psychic energy lifted into the cyclone, with them the intent to stop and disperse the threat in it's path each pillar holding and dispersing the cyclonic energy.
Now, it was time to mess with his opponent.
As he stared up at Dimitri, the Trolls eyes "Went Wide" as the flash emanated at him.
"AGH! My Eyes!"
Yata screamed, clutching his eyeballs in distressed as he started to flail about, acting like his very retinas were burned off. Hehehe.

Watching the reaction of the troll brought both joy and concern to the mind of the Holy Knight. At first, he believed the attack was a success, leaving his opponent blind for the duration of the fight would have been a grand advantage.
However, he had noticed a slight delay in his shout of pain. Either this was coincidence or the troll was preparing a trap for him.

Dimitri did not believe in coincidences.

In any event, he would take advantage of the pause given to him, deliberate or otherwise. Considering Yata had managed to halt the progress of the cyclone discs, Dimitri began spinning rapidly once more in the air, wind wrapping around him, forming hurricane-force winds. As the tornado's funnel neared the ground, it began to feed off all the heat in the surrounding area, sending all the thermal and kinetic energy to the heart of the storm, which was Dimitri himself.

Once the bottom of the funnel made land-fall, the entire body of wind became engulfed in flames. In the very center of the maelstrom floated Dimitri, gazing down with glowing eyes at his opponent. If he truly was blind, then he would have a hell of a time avoiding this...

Simply feeling the presence of a giant heat tornado engulfing the area annoyed Yata quite a bit. What a waste of energy... the poor man would exhaust his resources faster than Yata could have fun with him. Still, Yata played the blind man, covering his eyes with his robe sleeve, "oblivious" to what was coming to him. Oh he felt the energy alright... but Dimitri, engulfed in such powerful mana, could not feel Yata's. Yata's very form became static, just for less than a second. It was impossible to tell anything had happened to him, trying to reach for something while running away from the maelstrom of fire and wind. The poor troll looked like an oaf, waddling around with his sleeve over his eyes, cursing Dimitri's name in trollish.
The troll seemed helpless.

Seeing Yata's hobbling form changed nothing for Dimitri, whether he was blind or not, he would have to rethink his defenses as the Holy knight prepared to unleash this tornado of flames.

"Burn in righteous fire!"

Dimitri yelled out as he willed for the tornado to rush forward, leaving himself behind. The maelstrom split into three columns and ripped through the arena. The attack would likely destroy everything in its path before it ran out of steam.

However, never one to be overly confident, Dimitri would not waste the opportunity to recharge. The massive attack had taken a great amount of energy from him and he was having trouble keeping himself stable in the air.

At the same time as the burning pillars were released, he soared down outside the grassy ring and into the ruined city plaza, where he sheathed his blade and outstretched both arms, drawing in as much thermal energy as possible from the smoldering inferno. Even if Yata survived the devastation that was the tornado flames, leaving Dimitri alone for this long would begin the fight anew.

A prospect most beneficial in the mind of the Holy Knight.

Such a good thing Yata would never give his opponent chance to recover from such energy waster.
The flailing troll, still deep within acting, fell to his knees as one of the tornadoes swept past him.
The attack would have obliterated him.
If the troll within the maelstrom weren't a simple illusion.
Not that Dimitri wouldn't find out soon enough.
The second and third Maelstrom passed over the fake Yata, ensuring it's death.
Until a soft chuckling emanated just over the Holy knight. Floating directly above Dimitri, a smug Yata floated, legs crossed, a single purple orb over his index finger.
The smiling troll shot a beam of energy at Dimitri, one that would break his attempt to regain energy, weather it hit or not.
The beam was small, but at such concentration, it was as, if not deadlier, than one of his normal blasts of energy.
The only thing was, this purple lazer was continuous, and would follow Dimitri's path on Yata's whim.

What!? An illusion?

Dimitri cursed in his mind for not taking such a possibility into consideration. How could he have forgotten mirror imagery. It was such a typical trick for those who used mind magic.

He had barely recharged his energy. He was only able to regain a small portion of what he had intended to take from his surroundings. However recriminating himself was not going to solve the current dilemma.

Drawing upon a portion of the heat he had regenerated, Dimitri redirected its power into his legs, feet and joints. As the purple ray of light neared his position, he leaped off into the city's burning streets at a blinding speed, attempting to absorb as much heat as he could as he went. His joints and legs worked at a blurring pace, able to ignore all friction caused by the enhanced speed.

As the lazer followed his movements, Dimitri bounded and ricocheted from street to street. He could feel his energy returning slowly, but unless he could buy some time away from Yata, he would be performing at half-power for the remainder of the fight.

Yata floated quickly after Dimitri, bent on hitting his victim with the concentrated energy. If Yata could make this any harder for Dimitri... oh wait, he could.
Switching the orb to his left hand, Yata psychically changed the dial on his bracer, the outline now turning a burnt orange color. He aimed his bracer at Dimitri, the lazer right on his heels.
"Peirce!"
The Troll shouted, Firing three armor peircing darts at Dimitri's direction, activating their burst right out of the void, these suckers were faster than most projectiles would ever be. They carried no liquid, but they could pierce right through the body and inflict great damage.
Oh Yes, Yata was making it quite hard for the holy knight.

Dimitri heard the troll shout out and knew there had to be something coming. With his enhanced speed, he dove behind the corner of a building, hearing the first crash against the stone and exit directly in front of him. The miscalculation nearly cost him everything.

The second came flying in and the Holy Knight with a blinding speed, brought his palms together and drew in the winds as he turned to face the oncoming projectile. As the dart neared, it slowed as it was caught within the unstable air pockets he had just created, sending it in multiple directions, before Dimitri gave one final shout and sent it flying directly back to Yata.

The third came faster than expected while Dimitri had been retaliating. The dart soared in and despite the Holy Knight's speed, he was only able to divert the projectile's target from his heel to his bicep, by tucking into a roll. His silkstone armor was twice as thick as natural stone, but these darts were supernatural. He felt the piercing tip as it drove through his outer armor and though it was slowed, the dart hit its mark, becoming lodged after being unable to pierce through both the front and back of his armor.

This offered little consolation to Dimitri, who yelled out in pain which was soon followed by a howl of fury. Grasping onto the dart, he tore it free and discarded it, gazing up at Yata. He hoped his own dart would become his downfall, but staring at the triumphant sky, the Holy Knight at last had a plan of his own.

Yata sneered as his own dart was redirected at him. With simple movement of his hand the dart stopped mid flight, redirecting once more at Dimitri and launching it back at him once more, not as fast this time, but fast enough to still pierce if contacted. Once again, he aimed the bracer at Dimitri, the Lazer still getting ever closer to it's mark as Yata yelled "Pierce!" Once more, this time sending five more super fast armor piercing darts at Dimitri's path, making a toatal of six projectiles.
His ultimate goal, however, was to hit the Holy Knight with the beam, which would cause only more complications as the drowsy feeling grew stronger in the Knight's mind.
Happy that at least one of he darts hit his mark, Yata would not give up the offensive: It was his turn now.

He had to risk everything in order to perform this next maneuver. Wrapping his lengthy cloak around him, he bent the light from the surroundings around his being. Immediately, he faded from sight.

Acting quickly, he used his powers of heat to lower his body temperature, his communion with air to cloak his scent as well as deafen his steps and one final act before he made his move. He dove into his own soul and allowed his body to be possessed by the Holy Light. His mental thoughts were gone now, they belonged to the heavenly host that now held his body under its masterful control. While in this "berserk" mode, he knew he would not be able to access some of his primary abilities, such as healing or ranged fire attacks, but the basic strengths remained and became amplified, his tolerance for pain had increased greatly as well.

He was invisible in every imaginable way. It would require the skills of someone such as Tokushi Sarin's rumored Life Essence Gaze to track his movements now.

No body heat. No scent. No sound. No conscious or subconscious mental thought. No physical appearance.

He was silent death incarnate.

With his eyes glowing softly beneath his masked hood, the Light-possessed Dimitri darted from one street corner to the next, nearing closer to his quarry with every moment, like a panther about to spring upon its prey. His swords were already drawn and separated beneath the spacious folds of his cloak. While this invisibility was highly potent, he had to strike soon or the effects would wear off and the element of surprise would be lost.

Whether the troll was frightened or concerned hardly mattered to the holy knight at this point, for the real Dimitri was meditating within his own soul, awaiting for the spiritual possessor to call him back.

Though within that sanctum, Dimitri smiled.

The attacks stopped from Yata as all Dimitri's mental senses stopped, and Yata became blind. For real this time.
As long as no mental signature other than his own was present, his senses would fail him... neither could he feel, smell, or sense his opponent, but neither could he do the same with his surroundings. The troll chuckled a deep chuckle, however, floating in the air, still and silent as his form slightly bobbed up and down.
"Hehehe...impressive, holy knight, impressive."
The Yata quietly commended his opponent. He had never thought he had to face this situation... for only a unnaturally small amount of people could ever block their own mental signature at a subconscious level, and even then, the residue of past signatures, of the very earth kept his senses running. Here, everything was false... an aether of nothing.

All was not lost, however... for what would psychic's be, if they were not prepared for the impossible.
Yata, floating down, legs crossed, He began a deep meditative state.
Landing like a feather on the ground, Yata's head began to droop, untill it slumped down completely.
False Sleep.
In an already Aether of darkness, this world was Noir... darker than the worst oblivion.
Within this nothing...a small spark of light appeared in the distance.
In rapid succession the light grew, until he found the moving, thriving, avatar of light not to far away.
It's shape was humanoid.
Dimitri.
Now, he only waited.

Dimitri's light-possessed body neared his mark. Seeing the troll meditating, or asleep, in any event, immobile, he took off into the air, soaring higher and higher at a pace that broke the sound barrier. He discarded his invisibility once he had reached the shining clouds. Merging the blades back into their broadsword form, he began channeling the power of light into the weapon. It vibrated with magical and holy power as the light enveloped him.

He began his rapid descent, sword behind his back, grasped with both hands. The sound that followed his dive was like a distant thunder and then a burning whistle that pierced even his own ears.

If the troll was foolish enough to rely on his shield this time, he would become a part of the crater itself. If he attempted to teleport away... he'd need a very long jump to avoid the backlash of magical energy that was about to ripple in every direction upon impact. Even if this was another illusion, the real Yata could not be far away from the blast zone.

Dimitri's body shouted out with multiple voices of men and women exiting from his lips,
"This is the beginning of the end!"
