Chaos laughed as Emily leapt at Eclipse. "My! Rambunctious already! I believe we're certainly going to have our paws full Dear." He said smiling, watching the kittlings to make sure they played nice.
Eclipse let out a small "Eep!" as she was batted by her very brightly colored sister. She gave her a playful little glare before getting to her feet and attempting to bat Emily back.

Sorbete giggled once more; there were many who said kids to be a handful, she found them all lovely. She looked over at Eclipse and Emily when Chaos mentioned their activity and gave them a slight but playful warning glance.
Shying away from Eclipse's retribution with an attempted hiss, Emily gave her sister another smirk. She then shone it up at both her parents and her brother in turn. She rather liked the sound her 'mother' made when 'talking'. It was a melodic flow of 'words'. Perhaps if she only tried...
"Sr~r tee!"
Her vowels churned together as she tried to speak her mother's name as was said by her father. It was a pleasant feeling, though, and she bobbed her head at her two other siblings, encouraging them to try as well.

At the encouraging gesture from his eldest sister, Edison picked himself off of the grass and sat on his haunches to try his luck. He took in a breath and puffed out his chest a little before exhaling his very first set of words. Well, sounds anyway. “Fffeee!” Though incoherent to the language they spoke, he understood himself fluently and repeated, chanting the identical babbles proudly.

Eclipse looked excitedly, wanting to speak also. She took a deep breath and let out some sounds. "Coos soowee" She listened to the sound and was very proud of herself! "Soowee der.." She babbled on, loving her sounds.
Chaos beamed as he listened to his kits attempts to make word. He lowered himself towards them and said "Mama, Dada" to help them learn to speak.

Sorbete melted at the chiming sounds of the younglings' voices. She clutched to Chaos as they spoke their first words; or made their first sounds, at least.
"Ma~ada." Emily's small voice chirped out again, "Ma~am... Da~a." Satisfied with her achievements, she gave her parents a smug grin. Then, just to clarify her ability, she gave another go, "Ma~ama~ada~a." Seemingly exhausted after this flow of speech, she snuggled in between her parents, watching her siblings.

Edison listened intently, his ears perked and mouth slightly open in strict concentration. He wanted to make his parents proud and mimic what was being said perfectly. When he felt confidence once again strike him, he parted his lips and squeaked out a clearly distinguishable, “Mmmaaa’ma. Daadaa…” It was progress, he knew, and soon he would learn even more words. Wobbling towards Emily, he laid down beside her, nuzzling into her side for warmth and comfort.

Eclipse thought for a moment, determined to mimic her father's words. Slowly at first, she sounded it letter to make the words.. "Mma..ma.... D..Da..Daada.." A smile crossed her face as she heard the words come from her mouth. She beamed up at her parents, purring lightly before padding over to her siblings and lying down next to them, snuggling lightly.
Chaos practically jumped for joy when he heard his children speak their first words! "My! They're quick learners, aren't the Honey?" He said happily, snuggling up against Sorbete, so very proud of their little ones.

"Why, very much so, dear." Sorbete nuzzled Chaos, then brushing her paw along their frail bodies once more. "Oh, dear, how fast they'll grow." She sighed, a vivid image of the future worming its way inside her thoughts once more.
"Mamada~." Emily gave another chirp. The speech making its way out of her mouth seemed to make her parents very happy. Ecstatic, even. And she adored her mother's smile as well as her father's obvious pride. She squirmed against Edison and nipped his ear, then turning onto her back to look up at her parents once more.

Edison didn’t seem to mind the playful tug to his fuzzy ear, considering he’d begun to sleepily drift off. The recent events in his short life had tired his small body out. With a tiny squeak-like yawn, he rested his head upon his curled paws and exhaled into a peaceful rest.

 Ellery noticed a spot of light in the small dark world of his bag. He pawed at it until it opened enough for him to see out. Whiffing in the scents from the outside, some of the smells had a familiarity about them. His nose wiggled, trying to sort out all the different smells.
Voices reached his dark green ears. His curiosity piqued, he pawed at the opening, making it bigger. Reaching his white paws through the folds of cloth, he pulled himself through until his head was out in the light. Ellery found himself surrounded by folds of fabric in shades of blue. Pushing himself up with his front paws, Ellery sat up with his back half still in the purple bag. He looked around for where the voices were coming from.

Chaos was so proud of their little ones! He cooed quietly over there small frames before looking up and noticing the last bag was wriggling faster! He smiled and watched their last child pull his way out of the bag. "Look Sorbete! Little Ellery has emerged at last!" He smiled, even happier than before (if that were possible!)
Eclipse looked about curiously at the world around her, before noticing her other brother's bag open. She squealed in happiness about it, before babbling "Elree!"

"Oh!" Sorbete practically moaned in a relieved tone as she saw the last of her children make his way into the world. She carefully separated herself from the rest of her family, running the short way to Ellery. Nuzzling him as soon as he was within reach, she beamed down at him, "why, hello."
"Mama!" Emily gave her mother a confused look, head cocked, as she squirmed her way away. When Sorbete was up and moving, Em gave her father a worried and surprised glance, as if screaming 'why aren't you stopping her?! Where's she going?!'

The abrupt commotion was enough to stir the young one from his light sleep, prompting his bright eyes to slowly blink to an open state. Yawning, he turned over onto his back, paws projected into the air and head tilted back. In this upside-down version of the world he saw his mother standing beside the last of his siblings. From this angle they looked funny, but after he turned over, resting on his stomach now, he was glad to see that they weren’t standing on the sky.

Ellery rocked back, eyes wide. Still a little unsteady on his feet, his mother’s gentle nuzzle almost tumbled him over. He looked up into her loving eyes and answered her with a “mmph”. Hearing other voices around him, Ellery tried to stand up to go investigate. He only succeeded in rolling over since he'd forgotten that his back end was still in the bag.

Sorbete tenderly picked Ellery up by his nape, carrying him over to his other siblings. She set him next to Edison before giving Eclipse a soft smile for her excellent effort at speech.
In Emily's mind, she was being neglected. After all, Sorbete went to pick Ellery up and placed him next to Eclipse. Then she smiled at Eclipse, not her. Furious with this assumed predicament and sure that speech would definitely win her her parents' favor, she attempted speech again. Obviously, she didn't know much, but she tried her best to imitate her father's words, "Ellee emerg'd!"
