"Daffey?" He sounded the word out, as if trying to taste what it was like. "Daffey..." He giggled and flashed his sister a grin. He liked the word, i tmade him sound... Daffey.
Dathedar turned to the gray cub, his eyes shooting him a quizzical glare. He jumped forward, in an attempt to roll him off the ground with his snout.
"Oh, you being stupid!" He cried out. "Get up, get up! Where you from?" He asked in the middle of pushing the cub up.

 A lone pup comes padding across the Savanah. Her fur was matted with dirt and grass from her trek. Her head hung tiredly, panting hard. Thin sides heaved in and out as she continued on her journey.

Luyu watched, satisfied, as the stranger lowered his body to the ground in submission. Teruno, wasn't that what Kira had called him? She turned her head to see her second littermate, her brother, Dathedar, arriving on the scene. This was becoming a regular family meeting, wasn't it? She smiled a bit and shook her head slightly at the cub's struggles to pronounce his own name. It was one of the few things that she found adorable and absolutely hilarious.
Brown eyes rolled up towards the sky as she heard Kira bestow a nickname upon Dathedar, proclaiming it cute. Cute? It sounded pretty ridiculous to Luyu. What kind of nickname was Daffey? Blech.
She blinked in surprise as "Daffey" lept forward, attempting to push the newcomer to his feet. Luyu shrugged and trotted forward herself, bending to sniff Teruno. "Yeah, I guess you're alright," she announed. "Do you know any good gam-" she cut herself off mid-scentence and turned her head in the direction of yet another creature approaching. The hyena looked too small to be anything but a cub. The head of the new-newcomer hung low, and it looked pretty thin.

"Kyoot, cue, cute?" Teruno was hardly paying attention, pondering the meaning of this new word. he'd never heard anything called this... 'cute' before. It sure didn't mean scary. The last thing that was that came to mind when he saw the flowered Dathedar in his mind. Just as a new scent pricked his nostrils, a nose was pushing him. He blinked at Dathedar, not sure what the leaping pup wanted. Confusion...oy. "I'm from Mama." He said, adding as an afterthought ,"and Papa." He stood slowly as to not alarm the others, listening to Luyu. "Good gam? I don't know of any good gam. Do you?" He asked, oblivious of the other approaching.

Dathedar pranced away from Teruno, his tail wagging behind him. He caught sight of Luyu, and, as if he had forgotten his sister was there.
"Lu-yuuuuuu!" He half-howled, thrusting his muzzle into the air. Then he pounced playfully toward her.

Amani felt awkward by the entire situation. He was shy by nature and there were just...so many others around right now, jumping, and leaping, and yapping. His ears pulled back in slight discomfort and he slipped away from his denmates to find somewhere a little more quite. Such was his way, though he never ment to brush off or offend any of his siblings.

Kira seemed to be the only one who recognized Amani's discomfort. But perhaps that was only because she was so close to him. She didn't know him that much, but she was good at recognizing signs of discomfort. There was another hyena coming that she did not know, but she wasn't bothered by it. In fact, all she seemed to be focused on was trying to make Amani feel better. With a soft whimper the smaller hyena nudged at her brothers muzzle, before licking it tenderly. "You awight?"
