"I'm afraid there is no possible way to take my rank as Legendary. I have to give it to you." she paused, letting a threatening smirk settle onto her angelic features. "And there is no hope of that ever happening, I'm afraid."

Brushing herself off, she relaxed and turned to the woman who had accompanied the man. "Your friend knows that he is playing with death, does he not?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. Not waiting for an answer, Neciel continued on. "Your purpose seems to be a bit different than his. Would you mind sharing with the class?" she asked, waving a hand to indicate herself and Ephraim.

"Purpose? I have none, that's how it's different. I do what I want, this holy knight thing is just a side mission I got. I can do whatever I want as long as I stay within the boundaries of my oaths. I'm sure the Dawn Striders are our enemies, seeing how they aren't Holy Knights. Which means I'm also sure that fighting an enemy of the Holy Knights would be okay" Ace explained trying to fuel a fight into happening.
"Come on, at least if what is said is true, I should just be a sparring match for you, I wanna see how legendary you are."

"What you say is far off from the truth. If you continue to speak, oyu will merely prove just how ignorant one such as yourself is." she turned reluctantly from the woman, facing the fiery man.

She dark blue eyes remained blank, like the calm before the storm. "My faction lends aide to those who pay for our services. Not necessarily anyone's distinct enemy, nor anyone's permanent ally. I have no reason to fight you, nor do I feel like exerting the energy." she sighed, shaking her head.

"Well that just means you lazy, and don't like to spoil yourself to a little fun." Ace lifted his hand and his five fingers ignited into flames.
"C'mon, just loosen up a little and just have some fun like me, it relieves stress. Besides, it doesn't matter if you don't have a reason to fight; instead of thinking of it as fighting, think of it as an entertaining challenge for you." He said lighting up his other hands fingers. He then aimed his fingers at her as if his hands were guns.
"It may take awhile, it may only take a few seconds, either is fine by me..."

"One learns to live without fun when they are in a position such as mine." she replied, growing quite annoyed with the man. She waved her arms back and forth a bit, a small transparent energy beginning to form. Twirling her hands a bit more, the energy took the shape of water. She shot her arms upwards, a large storm cloud beginning to take form above the ruins.

"You have ten seconds to back down." she spoke with a leadened voice, dripping with annoyance. "I deeply hope that for your own sake you choose correctly."

"Dammit... rain?" Ace had a feeling she would know how his power worked, but he's said so much so far, he won't back down or all of those things won't mean a thing.
"I don't say things and then back down on them, that would make me a fool. I'm not going to back down simply because it gets too wet on my skin..." But if he doesn't back down he won't stand a chance, once his body becomes a single drop wetter than dry, his powers no longer work. He needed to make these few seconds of fire he had count before he was rendered wet and powerless.
"I don't back down, remember that when I die, if I die, alright?" Ace began to fire his flame bullets out at a fast pace making sure he got all ten shots out before she used her water. He was hoping the speed and prescision would work, but there was a huge hint of doubt.

Fornicatus jumped, higher than should have been possible for a human. Flames caught hold of the end of her coat, and as she landed was put out. Rain poured down from the cloud, soaking the three knights. The water seemed to repel off of Neciel's clothing and hair, and she reached up to rub some rain water into the burn forming on her cheek. It was already beginning to scar white, and would blend mostly in with her pale complexion. "I had warned you, Fire man."

Ace grinned as the water hit his body.
"Wish this cursed orb in my chest could have been more useful... but unfortunately there's repercussions to having power. Fine by me, a handicap it is. So the Legendary can make it rain, and you did warn me. I'm a fool, but at least I'm not a cowardly fool. C'mon then... finish the job I gave you and fight me." He said raising his hand and waving his fingers, provoking an attack

Earlier he had almost seen somewhat of a smile on Lady Neciel’s face. Maybe she had seen that he was not totally a bumbling buffoon! She was quite good looking too… wait, what was he saying! Such thoughts were, well, nondescript for now. He did not know what it was considered, but he knew that it was bad… wasn’t it? Well, maybe he didn’t know, but that was still no way for him to even think that she thought his person pleasing. In fact, there were probably many, if not hundreds, of suitors for her. Plus, feeling such feelings, right after seeing someone, or simply speaking with someone, was blasphemous. Not only blasphemous, but also perilous, at least. It was kinda’ weird too.

Who is superficial enough to even think of such a thing? Well, apparently he was, for it just so happened that her one repressed smile could calm a thousand legions. Nevertheless, they had company.
“We shall speak of my parents after we speak with these visitors of ours.”

When they arrived, the girl seemed quite calm… and familiar. Why was she so familiar? Where had he seen her? Oh, he knew where she was, but he just couldn’t put his finger on it.

Damn it all, it will come to me.

It never did, alas, but he still contemplated her with familiarity.

The other member—the girl’s partner—just happened to seem conspicuous when he arrived. His attire was different, his walk, mannerisms, and idiosyncrasies, were all quite peculiar, but nevertheless… still present.

He seemed to be a Holy Knight, apparently, but did not act like one at all. In fact, he acted totally beyond reason. Yet, he feared no one… not even the Lady. He considered fighter her… “sparring.” More like suicide if one were to think about it. Nevertheless, the man persisted, and the omniscient Lady just happened to know how to make him fear her. However, she was gallant, not fearful. Elegant, not imposing. Still, she had much about her… much power.

To fight her was to fight a goddess. She truly was a goddess in all aspects, and he respected her greatly, as he respected all Faction Leaders. However, her opponent did not do so. Was he a maniac? Temporary narcolepsy with which he sleepwalked and sleep-spoke? Who knew what his problem was.

“Why are you looking for a fight, Paladin. It is unnecessary, and we are not enemies here. Do not be unjust. Well, more likely: don’t be suicidal.”

But when did anyone listen to him. The man just continued an onslaught of 10 fireballs, with which he burned the Lady. Or so it seemed for a moment… for the burn seemed almost nonexistent… but still present.

“That was quite rude of you, Paladin. You won’t hurt the Lady, but the mere thought is quite awful. Why are you asking for a fight? Stop.”

And, of course, Lady Neciel just had to get irritated. A blemish on perfection could irritate anyone.

“You are a fool,” Ephraim sighed. “If only I could stop her, but I know I cannot.”

"And what would be the point of that?" she asked, beginning to look bored once again. "You have no more fire power, what else can you manage to throw at me?" she sighed, her hand resting casually on her sword.

After a moment longer of watching the man, Neciel drew her sword in a flash. "Just looking at you irritates me, you know that?" she hissed, holding her sword before her. Her face went from beautiful to fierce and angry. Her hair darkened a shade, and her eyes flashed indigo.

Taking one step forward, she seemed to disappear, sword and all.

Moments later, one could see the fierce angel standing in front of the flamey man, her sword stabbed through his chest. "Any last words, fire man?"

Are coughed up blood from the stab and leaned forward trying to rest on her shoulders. Ace began to choke on laughter and spoke
"I have a name, you know.... it's Ace...." He sputtered more red from his mouth.
"you have a name too you know.... Nic" Ace began to speak in whisper losing his breath and gasping for more.

"Wha....... what?!" Neciel's eyes widened, returning to their original dark blue. "Where'd you hear that name?" she hissed, tempted to twist the blade in his chest. She held back for now, planning to draw out more information from him. "How do you know of that name?"

"How, else? Your brother told me that's what he called you. You've grown up so much too, even though I was only able to see you once... now look at you, legendary as can be..." Ace coughed again, the blade made it even harder for him to brother, but he had to keep talking.
"Well technically... I'm your half brother, but nonetheless a brother..." Ace picked his arms up and rested his hands on her shoulders, it seemed to help him breathe a little easier.

"You.... but.... what?" the woman's lovely features broke, total horror taking over her features. "You can't be....." her right arm dropped to her side, her left clutching her sword hilt until her knuckle turned white. "You.... can't.... be." she seemed to be fighting back tears. "No...."

"It can't be to you because I was abandoned long ago, sent to an orphanage to never be spoken of again. Sure, your father may be the legendary Tokushi, but my father was someone else... you see, I'm a half brother, because we have the same mother, but I have a different father." Ace took a big breather and continued.
"My father tried to force both of us onto our mother, but she refused me, as if I didn't even exist. She even killed my father... your, our brother brother told me everything about my past that I didn't know until a few weeks ago... maybe that's why I went to the cliff of suicides..." He whispered the last part about the cliffs to himself.
