henrytownshend4235 Arec_Rose henrytownshend4235 Arec_Rose henrytownshend4235 Arec_Rose The first time I heard of Silent Hill was when I was 11 years old (I am now 18 and proud of it! ahem anyway) and I visited a friends house. The game had just been released and she had bought it maybe a week after it did and she was so excited to show it to me. Well I played it for a little bit but I think she got frustrated with me and I was having the hardest time beating the crap out of the monsters so I turned the controls over to her and sat back and enjoyed myself watching her play. It was from that day on that I fell totally and completely in love with SH and everything that went along with it! wierd, first time i heard of silent hill was on a demo disk for ps2, and just the demo alone gave me nightmares for about 3 months..... that was the demo for SH4. *which as you can tell by the ghosts and sound effects, its a lovely game for someone who was use to mediocre/crappy scary stuff at the time, to pure fear xd * That was when i was in 5th grade, i didn't even touch the game again until I was in 7th grade. *fun to admit I was a gutless wimp as a kid for the silent hill series, nice to admit I changed xp and am a thousand times the opposite of that xd * Really? On a demo? I never got to see one. crying BTW nice to hear that you changed because if you didn't you wouldn't have bee exposed to the glory that is SH!! yea, i know, talk about what a bummer that would be.... SH is too cool to even WANNA think what my life would be like without every getting into the series.... cuz now im a dude who loves creepy/scary stuff and when i went in a haunted house at Gatlinburg, I laughed at everything while everyone was screaming..... lol. Yeah, I am obsessed with horror thing. They are just so awesome! And usually when we go to a haunted house/horror movie, I am usually the one all my screaming friends cling on to. same, the only thing that gets me is the stuff that pops out at you, but im getting pretty damn good at finding out where all those occurences are before they happen, so there is really only a 25% chance of startling me.... other than that... expect a laugh and a "knew it" everytime.. See things jumping out at me will make me jump every time even if I know it's coming just because its a reflex. See, noises are the only thing that gets to me. Loud noises automatically make me cringes and become nervous.

I can't remember when I first heard of Silent Hill.. but I remember seeing it in the stores all the time. I kept begging my boyfriend to buy it so I could try it, but he'd always tell me the same thing: "Hell no, that game scares the s**t out of me." Finally I convinced him to rent Silent Hill 4. I wanted to play Silent Hill so bad despite the fact that I knew it would scare the crap out of me. I'd have to say the very beginning of Silent Hill 4 is what got me hooked. I couldn't figure out how to get the heck out of the apartment, and it just sent my adrenaline going. I didn't make it very far into the game, but the part of the game that scared the crap out of me the most was the part of the level where you're walking down these spiral hallways, and you come around the bend and there's this thing standing there, pointing at you. I mean, holy crap! I then saw the movie like, 5 times. I loved it! Loved it so much I ended up buying it once it came out on DVD. From seeing the movie I decided to download Silent Hill on my PC, because all the reviews that I read said the movie was based on the first game. I had a hard time playing because it was on the computer, so I didn't play for very long. From there I ended up buying Silent Hill 2, and a friend of mine let me borrow her copy of Silent Hill 3. I made it all the way to the hospital zone in SH3, and I stopped.. because I knew what was in that hospital (thanks to the movie) and I wouldn't go any farther, lol. Still haven't to this day.

fear the cute kid When I first heard of Silent Hill I actually had my best friend living with my family and I. She had brought her X-Box over and popped in a game I had never heard of, Silent Hill 2. She said "OMG Ronni this game is scary. Itll scare the sh*t outta you." I thought umm yeah sure whatever. She told me she would get me started on my own game. So of course I started playing. I remember being stuck inside these apartments. I kept on running around because I didn't know what I was doing. Finally I reached this door that I could open. When I walked inside I noticed a maniquen in the middle of the room. I looked at Amanda and asked her "Is anything going to pop out?" She looked at me and said "Nah you just need to get something from that maniquen." So of course I believed her and ran up to it. When I grabbed the flash light this thing with nothing but legs popped out. I screamed so loud because it scared me. She started laughing at me and said "Gotcha!" Then my dad opened the door and said "Whats going on in there?" We started laughing and she told him that I got scared cause something popped out. I have my best friend Amanda to thank for getting me hooked. cool Omg, that same part of the game made me about jump ten feet out of my chair. It was hilarious, to look back at it now.

Just a funny little SH moment of mine. blaugh I remember one time I was replaying Silent Hill 2 and I was at the beginningish part where you are constantly running around the town to your destination checking your map. (Well I was constantly running around...no matter how many times I play a game I'm always lost.....my direction sense is horrible sweatdrop ) Anyways, I started singing the Moulin Rouge "Your Song" song (very loud and very badly I might add sweatdrop ) just because I always get so random when playing games. rofl (James was trying to lighten the mood hahahahaha rofl ) Well, I'm running around and I pass that van that has the poison spitting creature under it. And no matter how many times I play that game, that always gets me. sweatdrop Needless to say my singing turned into a scream and I dropped my controller as it screeched and crawled away from me. blaugh I never laughed so hard in my life. blaugh It really was one of those 'you had to be there' moments. blaugh

^^ My story is short and sweet: My Dad actually bought Silent Hill 2 as a surprise gift for me years ago, after it had been out for a few years. He knew that I loved scary stuff, so he bought the last used copy for me from a video store :3 I knew nothing about any of the games, had only heard whispers of it from friends but I played it and fell completely in love

It was the Silent Hill series that started my love for adrenaline rushes, it's as if once you conquer your fears in silent hill, you can challenge anything in real life xd just goes to show how dementedly twisted silent hill really is.....
