I must say, I saw The Jungle Book 2 on TV here the other day and it wasn't all that bad... maybe I should give some of the sequels a chance. What made me dislike them as much as I did is seeing trailers for things like The Hunchback of Notre Dam II or Mulan II where the animation looked really cheap and sloppy and the storyline didn't really seem all that great. I also would like to check out Bambi II and The Little Mermaid II and III now. smile
I also wonder what Walt Disney would have thought of the current day company... I suppose on one hand they did need to keep updating things to stay valid today, but Walt would have made sure every single product was of the highest quality I'm sure. I heard one of the animators on the Animation Podcast the other day saying that they actually wanted to give up animation completely as soon as he had passed away, I'm really glad that didn't happen! I just wish animation could find a proper place in the movie industry... especially 2D animation. It's just so special... I really really wanted to do that for a living, but found it impossible to even find a job in that after my studies. Animation shouldn't be branded just for kids all the time, adults can enjoy it just as much! biggrin

I liked all the Lion King Movies and I liked the first two Aladdin movies, but the third was not good and I loved Aladdin. They might be making A Nightmare Before Christmas 2. I would throw up if they did. gonk crying The ending was perfect.

i agree with you.I really do hope that they dont make a Nightmare before christmas 2 the ending was actually the best i loved it. biggrin Black Cat35 I liked all the Lion King Movies and I liked the first two Aladdin movies, but the third was not good and I loved Aladdin. They might be making A Nightmare Before Christmas 2. I would throw up if they did. gonk crying The ending was perfect.

the worst thing or things that happend to disney i guess is....o i know...disney pop signers like the jonas brothers and hannah montana! (sorry people who like them) but i do like selena gomez but not demi lovatto......anyways the bottom line is i dont like the disney pop stars but i like the people who act and then sing for like one song or whatever, however i do love classic disney! heart

The worst thing ever is not bringing Alan Menkin (who composed for all the Disney movies of the 90s) back to do the Princess and the Frog, but rather bringing in the guy who did the music for Toy Story. gonk

No one bite me please but I feel that the worst thing that has happened was this whole thing with High School Musical and Jonas Brothers and Hannah Montana and all the other crap that Disney Channel has promoted.
I used to be a Jo bro fan because of my little niece but it wasn't until a bit
later that I realized that liking them and any of that other junk was a waste.
Sure they're probably all talented kids and what have you but Disney wasn't about being a Teen version of MTV. Disney was about the classic ideas about loving the kid in you, and having your happily ever after and of course supporting Walt's famous motto "If you can dream it you can do it."
It's not meant to be a nasty remark because I know there are disney fans that support this new disney wave but I personally don't care for it.

Disney Channel overall is a joke now. What happened to all the good shows I used to watch on there? Although I must defend my Phineus and Ferb (I can't spell, woopsies)...they're about the only thing that make Disney Channel worth watching, in my opinion.

I have to agree with you Jatar. Disney's been influenced by modern society. Now a days children are trying to be adults as fast as they can and it's very disturbing. The jokes and the screenplays for most the real-life dramas are now so simplified and idiotic I can picture mindless zombies drooling as they watch it.
What happened to the thrilling plot? The intersting characters? Now all you have is fashion references, comestic woes and stereotypical airheads that are becoming icons for the next generation.
I feel sick.

High School Musical
Hannha Montana
i hate these things
but i love the classics I agree with this classics are much better
