((Ooc: Oh god, Ang, you have no idea how hard you made me laugh just now. xd I admit, my sketches don't do him justice. The only one I think would fit him best is the first one linked. I always kind of pictured him having a voice similar to Alphonse's opposite (the one from the opposite world, who sadly, died...) from the FMA movie (the English version, anyway). It's just something I've been thinking over...

I'm waiting for Aevia to finish her piece before all our charries should meet on Earth, if that's okay. I guess I'll just add in one last thing.))

Another figure came running out from an alleyway. "Kamrynn, Orion! What are you still doing here?" Kamrynn recognized the voice belonged to Hermaphroditus, one of her best friends, who also happened to be one of her companion's many cousins. They both shared the same overall personality and facial features, but that was an end to their similarities. Where Orion's skin was pale from living an enclosed life, Herma's was tanned and sun kissed with a beauty mark just beneath his eye. He was just above Kamrynn's height, rather than tall like his other relatives. He also had a head of lovely burnt orange hair that twisted and curled in every which way. Today it was tied back with it's usual black ribbon. His ivy colored eyes darted back and forth between the human and the other Firenze.

He was a pedigree Royal, like his cousin as well, however, his family had been exiled from the line a long time ago, starting with his mother due to their compassion for humans and half-blooded Firenze, as well as the monsters that hid themselves on Earth. They had been rebels from the start. Herma was caring, and loving, and strange, being a hermaphrodite (the first well known of his kind), though he chose to live as a man instead of a woman. This in itself was a bit puzzling, since his beauty reflected the latter gender more so than that of a male. However, this was probably decided based on which gender he was attracted to.

"This is no place for a child to be..." He ran forward and tenderly embraced the brunette. Kamrynn blushed slightly, then smiled and hugged him back. "It's okay, Herma. We're heading off shortly, I believe." He always worried about her as if she were both friend and child to him, which seemed to soothe her in a way. "Please, don't worry."

Orion often grew jealous of their relationship, but did not always admit it. First of all, Kamrynn was never so formal around the other as she was with himself. She would often talk openly with him, which she did not do so much with Orion. And what's more, Hermaphroditus was once in love with her, though he often claimed that he was not. In his mind, he had a right to be cautious.

"As she said, we're just fine. Please worry about yourself." His cerulean eyes flashed for a moment. "I will escort Kamrynn away from here." Herma looked back up at him, as he truly was quite tall. He sighed and pulled away. "Very well. You do know where the safe house is, don't you, cousin?"

Orion paused. "Safe house? Oh. Where is it? What can you tell me about it?" The other frowned slightly. "I can't believe you would have dragged this little gem out into the middle of nowhere." he sighed, deciding to let it go. A smile soon graced his lips. "It is on the outskirts of one of the Earth oceans. I believe it was on the Pacific somewhere. There's an island near a populated area, but not too close as not to attract attention. Here." He handed a card to the other Firenze. "I'm sorry for my outburst earlier. I suppose none of us really know where we're going. That should help you find it." Sure enough, on the card was printed a map outlining a moving image of seas and land masses. A bright red dot pulsed over the island they would be evacuated to. "We are to take a portal to it, but it closes by tomorrow's end. Please, make sure you're packed up, the both of you. I'm afraid we won't see the base for quite some time..."

Kamrynn nodded. "Thank you so much. I'm sure it will be fine, though." She grinned. "We'll see you there!" Hermaphroditus sighed. "I hope so...take care of yourself." He embraced her again and ruffled her hair before heading back to his estate.

Kamrynn turned to Orion again, who was glaring off tot he opposite side. "Why is it you never greet me like you do him?" He grumbled. Kamrynn blinked a few times then started to snicker. "Don't tell me you're jealous, Sir." His gaze fell back on her eyes. "Please..I told you to call me Orion. My name...use it. You do with everyone else. Why do you not call me by my name?" The girl paused. In fact, she didn't even know. "I suppose it's because I respect you, I guess." "Are you afraid of me?" The girl shook her head slowly, tilting it to one side after. "No. Not exactly..." Both fell silent. Orion frowned. "What is he to you? What exactly do you see him as, Kamrynn? I promise you, I won't get angry...just give me an answer..."

"I see him as a loving friend. Exactly like the older brother I wish I had." She was beginning to get annoyed. Why didn't he trust her about this? "And what exactly...am I to you?" This question, above all others, make the girl's heart skip a beat. What was wrong with it, though? She'd said it before...why wouldn't it come out again? Was she really afraid? Maybe...she didn't want to say it in front of him. Her hands started to sweat and she quickly wiped it away on her jeans. "I...um...you know." Orion's patience was beginning to wear thin. "No, I do not 'know'. Why would I be asking you if I did 'know'? Now, tell me... What do you think of me? I know you can...before, a few months after we met, you said something that broke the hold on me. The proof is standing before you in flesh and blood again because of it. What was it? Tell me."

Kamrynn remembered fully well what he was talking about.

"The statue is beginning to crumble, Miss Onasi. I'm sorry..." A pale man looked down at her, nearly in tears himself. "I don't believe you..." The girl fumed. "He's a God, right? Gods can't die! Don't lie to me!" She rushed past the caretaker and whirled into her favorite room in the museum. The one where he rested in his stone form. It was because of him that she felt she had a place again. It was him that made her see the world as beautiful again. It was him that said he loved her... "It's a lie! It's a lie!!" Suddenly, the room fell silent. She gazed up at the stone statue. "Orion..." She called out. There was no response. "Please!" She ran to his side, clinging to the smooth rock surface of his skin, crying as she never had before. The sapphire pigments of it's eyes gazed down upon her one last time as the crack running up his neck sliced through his stone head. "Goodbye..." His last words echoed through the room and soon disappeared from existence.

"No!" Kamrynn shrieked. "Please, Orion! I love you!"

"Tell me. Please, Kamrynn...tell me one more time. I need to hear it. Why won't you just tell me? Why have you been shying away from me recently? I need to know...do you still even...feel that way?"

The girl stared at the blond, gripping a shaking hand to the opposite arm. "I love you, Sir." She answered in a wavering voice, unable to speak anymore. The Firenze smiled and wrapped his arms around her. "There. Thank you, dear heart. That's all I wanted. I know it was hard...I'm very proud of you." Kamrynn dried off her tears, trying to hide them, though her red face revealed it all. The blond bent down and kissed her gently on the forehead. "It's alright." He whispered, drawing her closer. After a minute had passed, he gently placed his palm on her cheek and lifted her head. "Now...we should prepare to evacuate soon. Neither of us have even had a sufficient meal since breakfast. Come." Kamrynn was released from his grip, still trying to dry her face. Instead of leaving her behind, however, the blond draped his cloak around her and walked her through the streets. Though fear clouded his mind, he somehow couldn't help but smile.

"Lord Arty!" The voice of a young boy rang throughout the gardens. Toby ran up to Arty, breathless. "W-war... declared. Meg... Meg said. Brand... he - he's at the Inn, needs to talk to you." His rapid breathing broke up his speech but he slowly calmed down, "and she - Meg - knows you don't want to fight - there is the safe house."
Arty was bent over the fountain, his forehead resting on his forearm. He didn't seem to hear Toby's cries. He was muttering something under his breath. "Arty!" Toby yelled, pulling on Arty's shoulder.

"Tobias! what are you doing here? A lovely day for a stroll in the garden I suppose." Arty was all smiles and speaking calmly. He started humming and sauntered off towards the opposite fountain. "And how did you get here young friend?"

Toby cocked his head to the side, examining Arty with a raised brow. "I transported myself here on Megaera's orders. I can bring you back to the Inn." He followed Arty around suspiciously, worried about the Prince. "Did you hear me sir?"
"Ah yes, the war. A serious matter. And Brand wishes to speak to me, perhaps about my sister? I suppose we should go then." He went in an eerie calm speech. "And the safe house - by the shore? Yes, I know of it. You'll come too, right Tobias?"
Tobias did not answer but drew up a portal. "Lord Arty - are you feeling all right?"
"No Tobias, I'm tired."
And they both disappeared into the portal.

Master Marston and Megaera boarded the glass elevators on the tenth level and went up to the top level. They had just given an hour long speech to the workers. The rest of the guardians were sealing up the castle and a few were clearing the Inn up of royals. Megaera couldn't tell by looking if one was royal, but many idiots came to the Inn and announced their bloodline, expecting special treatment. Most were kicked out but after today's chaos they had been allowed down into the tavern. Undoubtedly they'd be dying to leave anyway. The tavern, which was below the ground was windowless and a pub for those of the night, for darker souls.

They made way to her main office and sat for the first time in a couple hours. "Well the castle should be safe for a while. This Inn is really needed."
"You know the rebel base is evacuating."
Megaera nodded, "I sent Tobias to get Arty and alert the base we'll stay open until we're attacked. We will," she paused momentarily, "stay open until impossible."
He nodded and bowed, then pulled up a portal, "deep breaths Meg."
She smiled weakly.

In the corner of her office was a glass elevator that only went up to the lone tower of the castle and only came down back here. She would meet Tobias and Arty up there.
They called it the flower tower, because it was Arty's gift to her and Tobias for their hospitality. It was a rose garden, but still called the flower tower, it rhymed and all.
She took in the fresh smell. Even though it was inside you couldn't really tell.
Then a portal appeared and out stepped a young boy and another boy on the brink of manhood. Meg immediately noticed the paleness of Arty's face and she knew what that meant. She'd leave it to Brand to knock some sense into the boy.
"Meg, he's really tired, not feeling well." Toby started, looking up at Arty concerned.
"Yes Toby. Remember this morning?"
Toby crinkled his nose, "oh."
"There's a lot of people that need to be ordered about Toby," Meg goated him towards the elevator. "And send up Brand."
"Yes mam," he sent one last glance at Arty, "Don't wait too long sir."

The moment Tobias disappeared Meg's expressions changed. "Arty! There is a war going on - it's been officially declared. Do you understand? And it's your father who is heading one of the armies." She was yelling, her temper was ignited.
"That's not good news," he remained serene. "You are going to the safe house, right Megaera?"
"No Arty, I am going to fight. There are finally enough recruits, and Tobias can manage the Inn. There isn't any more time to wait."
"It's not safe," he started.
"Of course not Arty," she snapped. "And you really better listen to Brand. Maybe he'll smack some sense into you."
Arty blinked, "oh Meg. I just don't want to fight. I'm not keen on killing people, you know?"
Megaera sighed, "of course Arty. I don't like killing either, but it's kind of kill or be killed right now."
"Well, I'm up for neither. So I - "
"You are going to find some sort of adventure, right?" She cut him off, her facial expressions anything but soft.

Before he could say anything in reply the elevator rang. "Meg - don't you worry about him any more. Your inn needs you." Brand also spoke calmly which made Megaera feel quite out of place and she took leave.

"I see you haven't made a trip to the blood bank," Brand started.
Arty winced, "you very right. And I'd rather not. Although I am feeling rather tired and my hair is losing its shine - have you noticed." He stroked his hair with a worrisome glance at the ends he pulled in front of his eyes.
"Your Phoebe is in trouble."
And that quickly snapped Arty out of it. "What do you mean?" he demanded, his voice was not its usual tone.
"She's gone missing. And her father - he happens to have ties to your kind. He's blaming the royals. It's a small fuel of the war, but one nonetheless."
Arty blinked a good few times, perhaps he thought he was dreaming.
"I thought you'd like to know."
Finally Arty grinned, "your a good soul Brand. My sister chose well." He hovered above the ground. "I know better that you won't be at the safe house, but keep safe."
Brand smirked, "she told you to say that. I know."
And Arty was off to Earth.

It was a quiet dinner laced with the sounds of people in panic on the streets outside. Kamrynn couldn't finish her meal, too upset by the current situation. Orion had calmed down, too. His outburst, no matter how he may have already resolved it, still weighed heavily on his heart. The girl watched him devour the food on his plate almost instantly. He dipped down his fork to jab another one of the grilled vegetables, but to his bewilderment, the plate was already clean of every bit of food. Kamrynn sighed and pushed her leftovers forward. Orion blinked, looking concernedly back at her. "This can't be right...you must be hungry." She shook her head and smiled in response. "I'm fine. You could use the extra energy, anyway...the New Moon phase...it must be hard on you." The blond's eyes widened slightly before slowly picking up one of the rolls left behind and taking a small bite.

"Kamrynn..." He swallowed. "This may be...the last time we see this place... Even the last time we can eat dinner together." His eyes traced a path to hers again, his voice wavering. Kamrynn rolled her mind's eye, thinking he might cry again. It was very likely for him to do so. "Your Hi-...Orion..." Her voice trailed off. "Kamrynn, please...you need just as much energy as I." He held out the roll he had been nibbling on. Kamrynn blushed. There was a tiny hole in it, and a shining trace of saliva where his lips had touched it. "It would mean allot to me if we could have a nice dinner together this one last time." "Sir, you say that like we'll never see each other again. Once we get back on Earth, I'll cook you something delicious that we can both enjoy. It's no big deal." She grinned, trying to comfort the Firenze somehow. Still, she took the dinner roll from his hand and bit down on the spot he had started with. Orion smiled. "I suppose you are correct in saying that. You know I always enjoy going to Earth. It always has so much culture, so many kinds of food. Who knows? Maybe you and I could run away together and explore one of the nearby populations they were talking about." Kamrynn said nothing, but took another bite of her bread.

"Right, then." The Firenze continued, standing up. "I think I'll go tell the servants to start packing their things. They've worked hard. They've earned the right to go on ahead. And afterwards, you and I could help each other pack up. You don't mind handling my delicates, do you? I think I can take care of my robes..." The girl's face turned a beet red before she fell back out of her chair. Orion began to chuckle, holding out a hand to help her up. "I'm sorry. Are you alright?" He asked, still laughing in his throat. Kamrynn nodded slowly, standing before him. "I like you." He laughed. "You are quite unusual. Don't ever change. I was merely joking, though...that is, unless you'd like to." Orion gave her a quick hug before turning to leave. The girl remained motionless, still wearing a bright scarlet face. How he loved to tease her...though she found it annoying, she really wouldn't have it any other way. And something told her that deep down, he really wasn't kidding...which seemed both sweet and very unsettling at the same time.

"Fine then." She said to herself, heading off down the hall to her quarters.

OOC|| Just got back from the NHS rehearsal. I'm reserving this post now and will post the last part to my super long intro after dinner. Back and I'm stuffed. Where do you propose we meet?

BIC||

"Long horned freak."
"Battle beaten hag."
"Self centered b*****d!"
"Crippled old bitc..."
Before the man had a chance to finish his insult, Majere kneed him in the ribcage, causing him to double down in pain.
"Never call me crippled..." threatened Majere her brown eyes glistening with anger. "Even without my sight, I'll always be better then you."
Despite the pain, the man forced himself to laugh; he was not the type to admit defeat. Coughing slightly as the air got caught within his throat, he managed to whisper "Who's self centered now?"

Not seeming to grasp the situation, Coral laughed and clapped her hands in amusement. She had never seen two adults act so childishly, it almost reminded her of herself and the way she treated other children. Yet her amusement soon ceased as she remembered her fallen comrade. Pulling at Majere's skirt she cried accusingly, "Majee friend bad. Coral want more chicken!"

As if seeing Coral for the first time the man turned and looked down at the girl. "And who's this lovely little runt? Has hell finally frozen over? I'd never thought I'd see the day when the cold hearted Majere would bear a child. Who's the lucky or should I say the unlucky father?"
"Do you ever shut up?" asked Majere as she pried Coral's fingers from her skirt. She would not have the grease from the chicken stain her clothes. The girl whimpered sadly as Majere pushed her away. It were as if she were rejecting her. "Majee?" whispered the girl. "Majee?"

Ignoring Coral, Majere crossed her arms and glared at the spirit of the man before her. "What do you want, Samir? Surely you have better things to do then toy with me. Or is your life really that pathetic?"
"Always with the insults, Majere. Is this how you greet an old friend?"
"Friends don't attack each other at first sight.
"Now aren't we touche? Come now you must miss me after all the years we've been apart."
"I miss the peace that I had before you arrived."

Samir opened his mouth to counter Majere's insult but was stopped by the ever insistent Coral. Knowing that Majere had suddenly abandoned her to find food for herself, she pulled at Samir's pant leg. "Majee bad. Samir get Coral chicken?" begged the girl.

Samir looked down at the girl, and couldn't help but smile. She had that classic puppy eyed look upon her face, it was hard to refuse. His eyes wandered to Majere who had her hands on her hips and a very large frown upon her face. It was pretty obvious that she was irritated. The thought of him increasing her irritation was just too tempting.
Turning away from Majere, Samir bent down and patted Coral's head.
"Chicken it is little one. But how about a little ride? Your feet must be tired from all the walking Majere is making you do."

Knowing what would happen next, Majere stepped forward and said, "Don't you..." but before she would finish, Samir had lifted the girl up onto this shoulders.

"Hold on tight." advised the man as he took a step forward and began to run towards the marketplace. Coral squealed in delight and waved at Majere who was now, thanks to Samir's speed, quite a distance away.

"I'm going to kill that man; tear him to pieces." growled Majere as she too began to run. She knew that she would never catch up to Samir. Not because she lacked the sight a normal person would need to maneuver through the crowded streets, but because Samir had the aid of the wind spirits which allowed him to travel as fast as the wind.

Eventually they would stop and when they did she swore to herself that she would tear those long horns of him off his head.
"Someone stop that man!" cried Majere in hopes that a bystander would try to catch Samir. The sooner he stopped the sooner she could extract her revenge.

OOC|| My lame attempt at having Majere, Coral, and Samir meet the other characters and get into the plot/storyline. ^^

((ooc://I'm in the middle of making dinner for my brothers and I, and making up the first non-intro post...

&I think we're meeting at the safe house, a well-hidden island, or like that. I think, but maybe not... Laura can decide...))

The wood was calm and quiet, save for the trickle of the stream and the songs of the birds. It was funny that it was so peaceful when one considered the happenings nearby. Up the stream was a pond that was nestled against the edge of the wood. On the other side of that pond was a large estate. The mansion there was lovely but more often that not empty. Today however it was full with family, friends, and police. The reason for all the fuss was the daughter, Phoebe, of the couple who owned the estate was missing. Her younger brother Alex knew well that she was in the wood, but he said nothing and stayed in the nursery sulking - he had been sworn to secrecy. And luck must have been on Phoebe's side for the police did not think to invade the wood with search dogs, not yet.

Phoebe wasn't far into the wood, she had gone in circles for a few hours. Finally she decided to follow the stream. That should have been something to easily think of first but she wasn't all in the sanest mindset. She was running from a respectable father, a loving mother, a nurturing nurse, a homey nursery, a good-mannered brother, and a well-bred Newfoundland dog; yet she was also leaving daily social engagements, weekend recitals, and lessons of every kind one could imagine. She wasn't fond of the latter set that she was leaving behind and she had decided it was time for a change. Now this was something foolish for a twelve year old girl to do, but she was stubborn and brave and even her dear brother whom she doted on could not change her mind.

She found herself easily bored, the wood all looked the same and no matter how many stones she threw into the stream the sound of the ocean remained distant. Sometimes she had skipped stones across the pond behind her house and the sound of waves crashing resonated throughout the wood and her backyard, across the pond. She didn't know where the sound came from and this was the first time she had acted upon her curiosity, and so far she had come up with nothing of such a source. What she did not know was that the source of the mock ocean was descending into the wood, but up by the pond. Nor did she know that her run had not only involved the local police but it had also become a small fuel to a large fire of a war she herself would be involved in by a sooner hour than she would ever learn to truly appreciate.

Now Phoebe was having a difficult time getting around in the wood because of her ridiculous ensemble. It was her mother's idea of proper dress, but Phoebe was sure it was quite out-dated, even though her mother and father's company often wore similar attire. Phoebe glanced around, not really expecting anyone, but she was a modest girl and was sure it couldn't hurt to check. She pulled off a long, cumbersome skirt and striped herself of an ivory frilly blouse. Her silky slippers, which were already far ruined from her few hours in the wood, she disposed of in the first shallow ditch she came upon. She did not mess with the ribbons in her hair however, her hair was long and often gave her much trouble which she wasn't in the mood for. She opened her bag to take the first good look at what she had packed and found a shorter, lighter skirt of a pretty aquamarine colour that reminded her of the sea she saw every summer holiday. She also uncovered a short-sleeved shirt - just a plain, soft, pastel pink tee-shirt that she found to be the most comfortable thing she had ever worn. At the bottom of her bag was another pair of slippers but with a stronger sole and tougher fabric.

So not only did she leave behind her old life, but her old clothes as well for good measure, and they were all the search dogs - once they finally were sent into the wood - would find of Phoebe. Now she was getting along easier and sticking to the stream which grew and grew as it passed over underground springs and smaller streams flowed into it. Soon one could hardly call it a stream any more and it came to deserve the term river, if still a small one.

While Phoebe sauntered through the wood, farther and farther away from her childhood and closer and closer towards growing up - ironically, something she did not yet care for at all, the source of her mock ocean waited at the edge of the pond behind the mansion. He was a boy who looked to be seventeen, but he was nowhere near that young although he acted so. He acted so because despite his true age it was roughly the human equivalence of seventeen. Obviously one could only conclude that therefore he was not human which was true. He was not human, and even more so he was a prince, but these two things will be addressed later, or rather sooner.

Arty, for that was his name, looked across the pond expecting Phoebe to come out and skip stones. He didn't wait too long before realizing something was wrong. His green eyes, which were dull today because he was putting off something important, scanned the scene one last time before he flew across the pond and peered into one of the many windows of the mansion. He did literally fly for he had learned to defy gravity. It wasn't a really big deal, not where he came from, but down here on earth it was quite something until one learned of what was really out there. He watched many figures past the window and even from the outside it was easy to make out conversations for they were mostly comprised of yells and raised voices. He swiftly concluded Phoebe was not coming out of the house to skip stones for she was not in there. All the people of the house did not seem to know where she was and Arty decided to find out for himself.

Although he had no idea where to start, he was in a hurry to find her. He had some idea of what trouble she was in and he had trouble to get his own self out of. So he flew high and took a gander of the stretch below him. He made out no lone figures and without much more thought he once again descended into the wood. He right away thought to follow the stream and was pleasantly surprised to find a few clothing items along the way. It also worried him slightly, but as there was no blood - which was mad good for him because he hated the sight, smell, and taste of it - nor bones along the way he settled into the mindset that Phoebe was fine.

He floated through the wood, hovering a few inches from the ground because it was simply easier that. He was making good time and it was only a matter of a few hours, when the sun was started to fall, that he caught a glimpse of Phoebe. Honestly, what had first lured him to her was her appearance. He came from a place where beauty was natural and when he was on earth he found it - true shallow beauty - was not so common. It wasn't like many humans weren't pretty, but most lacked a certain fairness of the skin and an outward grace. Now Phoebe was beautiful on the outside, but her inner beauty was what Arty could not yet see. He never really planned to meet Phoebe, or talk to her, so he didn't concern himself over her inner beauty, but he had some to adore her habits: skipping stones, throwing balls, biting her nails, and playing the piano. He also noticed how happy she looked whenever she played the piano and no one was about, no one she could see that it. But when her instructor was over, or for a recital, her expression was down.

So he stayed put for a good moment, just staring at her as she leaned against a big tree for rest, wondering how he should approach her. Then a light wind flew through the wood and some of his hair fell in front of his eyes. He fingered it with a sigh; it too, like his eyes, was losing its shine. At the moment it was a faded silver (normally shining), although his true hair colour was obsidian, and his true eye colour was not green but light blue. Most months he put his energy into his favoured look, because he cared too much on outward appearances. Yet this delay was putting off the "re-shining" of his hair and he finally found the courage to step forward.

((Ooc: Alright. I'll try to wrap things up on my end. I have a plan for Kamrynn and Orion. I guess Aevia will have to decide when she wants her characters to meet up, then ours.))

Yet another shirt and jean set was laid out on the bed by the owner of a pair of pale hands with elegantly long fingers and nails to match. Even if they weren't touched, one could only guess that they were near always warm. Kamrynn cocked her head, staring at the Firenze as he folded one of the articles of clothing. "I didn't actually think you were serious when you said we'd help each other pack..." Her voice was at a lower tone than usual. Orion paused and looked up, wearing a mock expression of irritation on his face. "Did you think I would be that callas?" He smiled. "Of course. I would be happy to help you." Kamrynn felt the telltale trickle of a drop of sweat slide down her neck. "I never asked, though..."

The Firenze didn't seem to hear this, and instead kept sorting, all the while humming an ancient melody only the stars would be old enough to recognize. Kamrynn shrugged and grabbed one of her palace outfits, folding it a bit clumsily. Orion watched curiously, reaching over to correct this and straighten that every now and again. She sighed. "I'm no good at this either, I suppose..." The Firenze smiled, placing his hand on hers, instead of unfolding the collar of a peculiarly bent shirt. "That's not true. You have many skills to be proud of; things I would gladly trade one of my own abilities for." The girl stared at him for a moment, then went back to folding and packing. Soon, the suitcase was filled and closed. "I don't see why you didn't take more..." Orion muttered. "You must have quite a few of the outfits I bought you here still." Kamrynn sighed in response to the Royal's naive request. "We can't carry our entire wardrobe with us, Sir. We should only pack the essentials. That way, we can travel light and be prepared for whatever comes our way." The boy nodded, not entirely understanding, but grasping at the very least that Kamrynn usually made sense, and that it would be best to listen to her.

After packing Orion's bags, and Kamrynn having to remind him several times that only the essentials were needed, they were set to leave for the next day. Orion slumped back lazily on the reclining sofa near the door. Kamrynn rested on the floor at his feet, perfectly happy sitting on carpet rather than some luxurious piece of furniture. "I don't see why you can't join me on here." He commented. "It's not like I need the whole sofa." Kamrynn shrugged and gazed up at him, content where she was. "Orion, Sir, have you had any of that blood you got at the bank today yet? You look a little tired..." The Firenze smiled, laughing quietly. "Not yet; but then, I couldn't drink it in front of you, or rather I do not want to. I promise I will pack it, along with whatever other food we can manage to bring." His eyes narrowed. "I don't now what will come our way, you are right about that, though...I wish I did." He sighed and sunk into the satin pillows. "What will happen to us, dear? What will happen to the Firenze? The Rebels? Or the Humans? Kamrynn, how would your people react in this kind of situation?" The girl turned away from the boy after staring at him for some time.

"I don't even know that. Some might panic, some would try to work together to prevail. The earlier one is more common, though. To be honest, if Firenze like you didn't protect us...we might have long been wiped out into extinction..." Orion frowned sadly. "I see." He whispered before drifting off to sleep. But not for long.

A warning siren sounded in the background. "What's happening?" "I thought we were safe until tomorrow!" Screams filled the outside air and drifted in through the walls. Kamrynn seethed. "No! It can't be. Not yet!" She leaped to her feet and shook the still serene-looking figure draped over the couch. "Your Highness, please wake up! We're under attack!" The blond's eyes flickered slightly, opening wider bit by bit. "What did you say?" He asked in disbelief. "Kamrynn?" The girl had left his side and run into the kitchen. She flung herself in front of the refrigerator and twitched slightly at the thought of what was in there. She took a deep breath and grabbed one small and one large paper bag. In the large bag, she stuffed whatever nourishment she could, including the unopened package that had been picked up earlier. Thank goodness it hadn't been opened! She folded up the bag and ran back to the Royal. He was sitting upright, his pale face revealing a frightened and confused expression. "W-what's going on? I don't understand..." "No time, Sir!" She grabbed him by the wrist and pulled him off the couch, only just now realizing how heavy Orion actually was. "I'll get the bags. Get outside. Quickly!" She made a quick bow before dashing toward their luggage. Although her bag was light enough, she cringed at carrying his, both stuffed to the brim.

Orion blinked a few times, staring, until everything clicked. "Here." He picked both of his suitcases up with ease. "We need to leave now? Have there been any announcements?" Kamrynn shrugged, slinging hers over her shoulder and quickly stuffing the food into it. She ripped open the door and gestured that Orion go out first. Before closing it, she reached into her luggage and took out a solid metal bar, which extended to nearly one-half times her own height. The Firenze gazed out into the panic on the streets. The girl was right about it being a common sight. His head ached. Something inside him craved the flavor of human blood, though it was a minor annoyance compared to the fading feeling he was experiencing. "Kamrynn?" He called out again, his instinct failing him. The girl scrambled to get to him, grasping his hand. In the opposite was the unfolded weapon. She was prepared to defend. "Are you alright?" She cried above the voices of the mob. Orion nodded wearily, his vision failing him under the stress. He felt like he was drifting off again, but tried to remain vigilant.

"All residents of the upper city of the Royal Guild of Mercy, please evacuate through one of the portals located in Town Square. I repeat; please evacuate through one of the portals located in Town Square. All portals will close in five minutes..." A feminine voice announced.

Kamrynn's face paled. It usually took double that amount of time to make it there on foot. "Sir, we must hurry!" She shouted as she broke into a run, dragging her companion behind her. Many people tried to push them out of the way while they ran. Kamrynn glared ahead, though due to all the pushing and shoving, they were falling behind. Still, she tried her best to catch up. Though she didn't want to admit it, Orion was slowing them down in his state. She paused and looked back at him. "Sir, are you okay? You need blood, don't you?" Orion shook his head. "No...that's not it...I just..." His breathing was starting to shorten in pace, and so were his steps. "Kamrynn, I don't feel well..." "Oh, no." She knew these were the signs of one of his fainting spells. "Please forgive me, Your Highness...but in order for us to get out of this alive, you need to be conscious. I beg you, forgive me..." She sighed and formed her hand into the point of a spade, jabbing him in a pressure point near the heart, then the head. He cried out in pain, gasping for breath. His vision was returning. Kamrynn apologized again, taking the time to make a low bow. Orion shook his head, still in pain but somehow feeling faster. "You have nothing to regret... We need to hurry. They'll close in a moment, now..." Kamrynn nodded, helping him up and rushing off again.

By the time they got there, the Square was clear. The city that was once fascinating was now a near desolate wasteland. Just as Kamrynn helped the boy take another step forward, the dark purple voids in front of them began to vanish. "No. This can't be right!" She clenched her fist around her weapon, gritting her teeth. Their only other chance was to check if the outer city had been evacuated yet and to look for portals there, but with Orion in the condition he was in...there was very little more they could do but watch the portals close. "Wait." A meek voice whispered as Orion staggered over to one of them. He held out his hand, muttering an ancient incantation. Kamrynn was unsure of whether or not this had a purpose, or if it helped to coax his power out through encouragement. "Your Highness?" She cried over the smacking sounds of sparks falling to the ground as he repaired the path. "I thought I told you..." He smiled wearily. "Call me Orion." And with that, he gestured for her to come to him and gently let her settle in his arms. The two looked up for a moment, watching a Royal battleship circle the city overhead. It charged up it's cannons and blasted them down. Orion formed a protective barrier around them as he plunged into the portal and lost his grip on consciousness. Kamrynn clung to his robes, eyes tightly shut. She shivered. -If I am to die...- she thought -At least...I will be with him when it happens. Orion, I'm sorry I couldn't protect you...-

A crystalline blue sphere fell from a tear in the sky and collided with the ground. The sound could be heard for at least two miles from the sight, though no one knew what it was, nor even dared to venture toward it's unusual glow. Though to those who wandered near enough, they would see that the barrier held and in the center lay two figures in lovely clothing, asleep to the events in the world for the time being.

((ooc://that was rather, uh, I hate to use this word, but: cool... Laura... nice post (esp. the end) If I was watching that happen... you ever see the Incredibles and that little kid on the bike is like "that was totally wicked!" I'd say something along those lines.
&I posted my first non-intro post up a couple...

mkay, almost done with this post... my progress is in my journal. but I can't finish it until I clean my room - which is like an avalanche or something... *yikes* but that'll give Ang time for her post... &if I am gone longer than I'd like, ya don't have to wait up. And now I've got a small plan for Arty&Phoebe, but it doesn't go too far yet. I'll just follow your lead Laura. ))

Phoebe nestled against a large tree and pulled a loaf of bread out of her bag. She tore off the end then put the rest away. With a sigh she glanced down at the river and realized she hadn't brought along any water, but perhaps the river would suffice. With the sun setting she was starting to understand what a silly thing she had done. Now she wanted to go back - of course. But what would could she say? She had just wanted a stroll in the wood and she had forgotten to mention so? Instead of getting up and following the river back she stayed against the tree and nibbled at her bread, listening to the late birds' songs.

"Phoebe?" There had been no warning, no breaking of sticks, no crunching of leaves, just her name called suddenly. With wide eyes and butterflies Phoebe's jerked her head to the right, for that was the direction the voice had come from. She saw an older boy with faded silver hair dressed in an elaborate cloak. What is more, his feet were a few inches above the ground. He wore a crooked smile that told Phoebe he was pleased to meet her, but really had no idea what he was doing.

Immediately Phoebe reached for the closest rock and pulled back her arm to throw the stone at him. "Whoah! Stop, stop."He cried, swooping towards her and grabbing her wrist. "Sorry. I-uh, didn't mean to frighten you. It's just I - we - have to hurry." His feet touched the ground. Phoebe glared at him and yanked her wrist away. "Who do you think you are?" She hadn't talked like that to anyone before but she was mad confused and took a step back, only to back into a tree. Arty looked surprised, "I - oh, forgive me. I am Arty Sanskrit - although just Arty is fine. Some others refer to me as that dodgy prince - for I am one, and others call me Lord Arty - although I am not one, not a Lord that is..."

Phoebe was quite sure that he was going to go on but she wasn't up for a stranger's ramblings, even though it was the most exciting thing she had run into that day, and she cut him off. "Right, well," she started, calmer and cold, "apparently you already know my name and now that our meeting is done I shall be on my way." She grabbed her bag and made to go up river, trying to figure out why he did know her name.

Arty was on her heels. "Sorry, but have I offended you?" His perfectly calm voice was annoying Phoebe at the moment. "Oh no," she tried to keep her cool. "It's just that I have finished my picnic and I need to go back home... my brother will want to hear all about it." She picked up her pace slightly yet Arty froze on the spot, frowning. "Well I can't let you do that. Haven't you noticed the sun is going down? You are far more likely to be caught and eaten by one of my relatives than make it home, especially a beautiful girl like you. Phoebe now too stopped and turned around to face him "are you acting upon some stupid dare or are you just insane? She chose to ignore his defying gravity act at the moment for that could not be explained by either choice she gave him. "You are by far the insane one - leaving a perfectly good family like that. He didn't mean what he said for he had watched her long enough to understand why she would run, and he himself was on the run too - from his family.

Phoebe rolled her eyes then started walking again, up the stream and Arty pursued her. "I am sorry to say I was being quite honest about my relatives. You see, every month we need blood - to replenish ourselves. There are pills... and the blood bank - but the nastiest of my family like it fresh. And you see, it's that time of month." Once again Phoebe had stopped and she took a deep breath. "Well then are you going to eat me? Arty realized she wasn't taking him seriously. "Well, no," his voice faltered momentarily, "I'm not fond of blood... but I wouldn't never harm a human any way. When I can't find pills then I use the blood bank. I have been putting that off all day you know.

Phoebe continued to stare at him as if he was moonstruck then the howl of dogs turned the heads of both Phoebe and Arty up river. Arty went wide eye and turned to Phoebe. "Please, you must come with me. Listen - the royal and pure of my kind are warring against the impure of my kind and humans. Your father added a little fuel to that fire today and it isn't safe for you here any more. I'm sorry." The howls got closer and closer, soon traces of voices could be made out. Arty again grabbed Phoebe's wrist, but much gentler this time. They were both rendered invisible. Phoebe gasped, watching her feet and hands disappear. "Shh! Arty was now whispering fast, "and most of my family is on the side that I don't like, so I can't return home either without getting in a lot of trouble. So we're both in the same boat - and I know this safe house. Many of the rebels - those fighting for the impure and humans - are there or going there too."

Phoebe looked up the river then back at Arty. What was she getting herself into? And why did he know her father - or about her family? How did her know her? And what on earth - well, maybe a different planet too - was he talking about, all this royal, pure, impure stuff? And was she to take that he was not human? She was frightened beyond all belief but the fast approach of the dogs and footsteps forced out what she dared to reply. "Okay," she whispered back with a wavering voice. Arty broke into a grin, "hold on tight." He pulled her into his chest and she wrapped her arms around his waist. She closed her eyes then suddenly there was no ground beneath her feet.

((Ooc: Haha. Really? Thanks! I was so exhausted after typing it all out and going over it again and again, I had to take a break. The scene is very similar to the novel. I might even work something like that in there just for fun.
Anyway, so ends my intro into Earth. FYI, I didn't mention this directly, but they didn't land near the safe house. I haven't decided exactly where yet, but at least a few miles off from everybody else.

Heh...I love The Incredibles. ^_^

I'm looking forward to Arty and Phoebe's meeting. I can't even imagine what it would be like to meet someone who already knew everything about you...I'll just have to wait and see, I guess!

And the relationship Angela's characters have is pretty obvious right from the get-go. It's exactly the kind of thing I'd expect from a character like Majere. Originally, Kamrynn was going to be more tough, a bit like her, but I decided to soften her a bit while not compromising intellect and strength (unusual as it may be). She also used to have red hair, but I thought it would be better if she looked plainer, kind of personifying that she and Orion share a special bond beyond looks (of course, she'd not unnattractive, just more 'cute' than 'beautiful', which is why allot of the Firenze she knows kind of see her more as a child).
I never told you that I love the Force Sight idea, Ang. I bet it would be like seeing everything at once, and yet still having a limit to how far you could stretch it...kind of reminds me of Zeke from BS4TG. I wonder what happened to him?

Well, you're both up at bat. Swing away!))

OOC|| Time to wrap this up on my end too. My characters should be at the crash site in a bit though the post will be super long in order for me to do so. I hate to Mary Sue it >.<
My characters are always meant to cause an obvious reaction. Otherwise I wouldn't know how to treat them when something unexpected happen. I'm a horrible improviser.
Oh and thanks Laura ^^ I think I developed Majere's Force Sight idea when we leaved about Bats in Botany. I thought it was really cool how something so blind could navigate so well. I miss Zeke, he was an awesome guy.

Hearing Majere's cry for help, several people tried to stop Samir from going any further. But their efforts were in vain for as soon as they got within three feet of the man, a strong blast of wind swept them away.

Coral laughed in delight and clutched onto the silver haired man's horns. It was like riding a horse except she was going a hundred times faster.
Unfortunately, her amusement soon ended when Samir came to an abrupt stop causing her to lose her grip on his horns. The young girl caught in the momentum of the ride was sent flying forward into the air and towards the ground.

Yet before she fell to her doom, Samir reached out his arms and grabbed the girl. Holding her tightly he scolded "Didn't I tell you to hold on?"

Mistaking his worry for anger, Coral squirmed in his arms and tried to break free. "Samir bad! Coral want Majee!" cried the girl franticly, realizing now how stupid it had been to leave with a complete stranger. Samir's grip on Coral only tightened as she continued to fight her way free which caused Coral to panic more.

Up until now Majere's total attention had been focusing on keeping up with Samir and Coral. She knew she was losing them for each time a piece of her power bounced back to her she got the image of them being further away. Grinding her teeth in frustration she forced herself to go faster causing her to push several people out of her way. Yet she was not able finish the next time steps before something in the sky caught her attention. Of course by being blind she did not see the object, but a piece of her mind caught the voices of several bird spirits. She could just barely hear their conversation as they complained about a giant sphere heading towards Earth. There seemed to be something inside of sphere and yet with it's crystallized form they couldn't be certain.

Normally something like this would not catch Majere's attention; the lives of others were of no concern of hers. But this incident was different because it reminded her of her encounter with several oracles months before. Though Majere was a warrior and a merciless killer, she was also a strong believer in the unknown. She was very spiritual and believed that everything in life that happened was meant to happen. Her meeting with the oracles had been by chance; a stroke of dumb luck as she called it. It had been just after her latest hunt, where she took down an entire bandit camp for a bounty she had yet to claim. She had saved three old women from captivity, and in return they offered her three pieces of advice.
The first spoke of a young child, the second spoke of a reunion, and the third spoke of a new beginning, starting with the landing of a giant orb in the sky.

"What cruel joke are the Fates planning for me?" asked Majere. Already two of the three had come true, would this be the third? As a follower of faith it was Majere's duty to find out.

Corals cries brought Majere out of her thoughts and back into the open market place. She adverted her eyes and glanced back at the two surprised to find that Samir's spirit had stopped and that he was holding onto the little girl. Coral's spirt from what Majere could see was flailing her fists and legs in an attempt to escape. This caused Majere to smile with pride; the girl was a fighter just like her. "Maybe this joke isn't so cruel." whispered Majere as she half jogged towards them.

Seeing Majere heading her way, Coral only screamed louder for help. Why wouldn't the woman hurry? Couldn't she see that her beloved child was in danger? "Majee! Help me!!!" screamed Coral at the top of her lungs.

Samir help the little girl in place with little effort. Hell would freeze the day he let a three year old get the best of him. "Stop squirming!" scolded the man angrily. He cried out in pain as the little brat bit down on his hand. Releasing her he lifted up his arm to see if Coral had broken through skin, and sure enough he found several beads of red trickle down from the wound. "Ungrateful little bitc..."

Majere gasped for breath as Coral flung herself onto her. Coral was stronger then she looked for she had knocked the wind out of her. Tears streamed down from her cheek as Coral dung her face into Majere's skirt. The young girl clung onto her so tightly that Majere was barely able to breath. Gently prying the girl off of her, Majere bent down and wiped the tears away. "Strong girls cry. Tears are a sign of weakness. Coral wants to be a strong girl right?" whispered Majere as she tried to comfort the girl.

Coral nodded slowly and tried to prevent any more tears from appearing. She wanted to make her mommy proud. "Coral strong!" said the girl determinedly.

Seeing the two reunited, Samir walked over and waved his wounded hand at Majere's face. "Look what your little brat did to..."
He was cut off in mid sentence as Majere interrupted him to say, "The blue capsule in the sky. You stopped because of it, didn't you?"
Samir looked at her incredulously, as if the woman was mad. Didn't she care that he was bleeding? Wasn't his heal more important then the child's? Deciding to ignore her question, he angrily retorted, "How do you know it was blue? You're blind remember? Don't go telling me you've suddenly regained your sight."
Majere rolled her eyes an casually stood up. For a moment there was only silence before she pounced on the man and grabbed him by the collar of his coat. "Don't play dumb with me." growled the girl "I've had just about enough of you to last a lifetime. Now unless you have a death wish, I'd advise you to answer the question."

Despite his situation, Samir couldn't help but smile. Being this close to the woman was almost appealing. He had never noticed before how bright her eyes shone, nor that one little birthmark on her forehead. It was in the shape of a slightly disfigured star; he liked stars. He could also smell that lovely rose scented perfume she had put on this morning it was delightful.

Feeling Samir relax under her grip, Majere blushed and let go the man. Taking a step back to put some space between the two, she said "Well?" rather gruffly to hide her embarrassment.

A bit disappointed now that Majere had distance herself from him, Samir asked"Well, what?" He calmly as he fixed his collar before continuing on to say,"So it was an object in the sky. Nothing special about that." Of course he was lying for Samir could still hear the voices of the wind crying for help as the sphere fell from the sky. Something important was within it though he did not know what it was.

Thinking that maybe she had been wrong, Majere turned away and said, "Nevermind. Coral lets go."

Coral who had once again latched herself to Majere, peek out from behind the woman and stared at Samir. Remembering the fun ride she had moments before and overhearing their conversation tugged reluctantly on Majere's skirt and said, "Coral want to see. Blue pretty."

Majere stopped and glanced down at the little spirit of the girl clinging to her leg. "Don't worry Coral. You'll see it. I'm planning to go there myself."

"And since when has the loner Majere cared for others? You were never a nosy person."
Without looking at him, Majere replied, "I go where i please. I do what I please. If you don't like it then so be it."

Also wanting to see what was within the sphere, Samir shrugged and ignored Majere's comment. He, himself wanted to see what laid within the sphere; he also wanted to be with Majere. Something about her cold demeanor towards him was just too alluring. Not wanting to sound too interested, Samir said rather boredly, "How about I take you? From what I can tell it must have crashed quite a distance away. It'll take hours for you to hike over there. Flying would be so much faster."

Majere nodded and said, "For once you're right. Flying would be so much faster."
Slowly she muttered several cryptic words under her breath. Samir's arrogant grin soon turned into a frown when he heard a loud screech off in the distance.

A rather large animal with the body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle landed in the marketplace causing the shoppers to flee in fear. "I wouldn't want to trouble a dear old friend like you. So I took the liberty to find my own means of transportation. Come Coral, lets go for a ride."

Samir watched in disbelief as Majere and Coral mounted the great beast. It wasn't long before the two were in the air and heading towards the place the sphere had landed. "Did she just reject me?" muttered Samir as if he had never been turned down by a woman in his life.

With the griffin's speed, the flight took several minutes to complete. And as they landed Coral bolted off the legendary creature and headed towards the glowing light apparently intrigued with it's beauty. Forgetting about the griffin who soon took flight after the two dismounted, Majere raced after Coral.

The two stopped just within distance of the unusual glow. Reaching out her hand Coral tried to touch the people inside only to find that a barrier blocked her way. "Majee?" asked the puzzled child.

Majere frowned as felt the aura the sphere emitted. It was the work of a Firenze. "Leave them be Coral. They'll wake up in due time."

Off in the distance, a tall silver haired figure could be seen flying towards the crash site. But his arrival was unnoticed by both the conscious and unconscious people in the area.

OOC|| Sorry its super long and I'm sure there's about a billion typos. >.< I tried to fit it all in. Hopefully things make sense.

((ooc://sorry about all the timing trouble Laura sweatdrop ))

Phoebe kept her eyes squeezed shut tight and she found herself holding her breath. Her feet had just left the ground and she was entrusting her whole being into a stranger. "You can open your eyes," Arty said encouragingly. So she did then quickly found herself gripping Arty even tighter, but she did not shut her eyes again. It was more marvellous a sight than she had expected. With the sun setting the earth had a pretty glow and the air was warm. The flying adventure calmed Phoebe and she forgot, if only for a moment, all the questions and concerns she had.

They ascended higher and higher and everything on the ground diminished. "We'll make a stop at the Royal Guild of Mercy, a floating landmass. It is the rebel base and they're evacuating tomorrow. I need to visit the blood bank there though and get a message out to a certain inn." Arty explained before Phoebe could ask how a safe house could be in the sky. "The safe house is on an island - on earth," he added quickly after Phoebe sent him a questioning glance. Phoebe searched for something to say in response, and she remembered two of her questions. "Arty - why don't you just fight on the side you do like? And why are you... I guess you could call it 'saving me,' if everything you have said is true?

"Because I like you Phoebe, and I didn't want to see you get hurt or eaten. And I am not keen on killing people - that is what they are doing at the battlefield. He replied with a sly smile. Phoebe felt the latter was only part of his answer and that was true. He was afraid, afraid of fighting his father and family, and he didn't like all the blood involved. Phoebe was about to try and pull more out of his answer but then she watched Arty's eyes grow wide, starring above her. By reaction she whipped her head around to see what he saw and in doing so she loosened her grip on him.

Arty watched a blue sphere fall out of the sky above them, it seemed to grow as it got closer, but that was only an illusion. He quickly made to move out of the way but then Phoebe slipped and he panicked. "Phoebe! he cried desperately. Luckily she had caught his ankles, but she was losing her grip. He bent down to pull her up just as the blue sphere past inches beside him and landed on the earth with a thundering boom. When he could see Phoebe's face again she looked petrified. "I hate heights," she whispered, then looked down. "What was that?" Arty glanced down, "I don't know - we'll check on it in a little while. Then picked up flying speed and made for the rebel base.

They didn't get too close when Arty noticed something was wrong. Phoebe could tell from the way he slowed down. "What's wrong?" she didn't turn to look this time, she was still a little shaken. Arty didn't answer her, horrified at what he realized had happened. He kept going though, towards the floating land mass. The sound of countless canons then gave Phoebe a faint idea of what was going on. "Arty?" there was worry in her voice. He still said nothing, watching with horror the rebel base being torn to shreds by canons.

"Change of plans!" he shouted over the canons. Then he pulled Phoebe in closer and dived into the sky. Phoebe let out a shrilling scream.

A few minutes later Phoebe settled back down as Arty had swooped upwards again. The dive was something she had not expected, and something she never wanted to experience again. Now they were gracefully floating down and she had even pulled away from Arty a ways to give a better view. They were above the blue glow and as they got closer to earth they noticed a woman and small child there. If Alex were here, Phoebe would have exchanged glances with him; she looked up to Arty but he was looking down. When they were a mere ten feet from the ground he finally turned to her with a smile. "Now that wasn't so bad," he said serenely, setting Phoebe on the ground.

The ground snapped Phoebe out of it and she remembered all her questions, concerns, and sanity. "I'm now officially terrified of heights," she noted, taking a few steps back from Arty, trying to collect herself. Arty raised a brow, noticing the sudden change in her attitude, "we're back to this?" He sighed, trying to think of what to say next, and trying to forget about how much he needed blood. But then he eyes were drawn to the blue sphere. He noticed two figures lying in it, presumably asleep.

Phoebe on the other hand had ignored Arty's last sentence and she walked towards the woman and child. "Hello. I'm sorry to bother you - but do you know how to get to get to Follies Lane?" She asked, casting a smile at the child out of habit.

A pair of pale gray eyes fluttered under the wondrous blue light. -What am I doing here? What is this...- A soft, warm texture could be felt underneath her weight. Her vision slowly focused on what appeared to be a hand caught in the folds of a silken fabric. Suddenly, everything clicked.

-Are we dead?- She mouthed the words, but no sound came out. The pulse of a heartbeat, though slower than normal, told her this was false. "O-ri..." She coughed, burying her face in the robes again. To her horror, a spatter of blood had come out onto it. She closed her eyes and quickly, or rather a fast as she could in the state she was in, covered it with a fold of the cloth. She felt heavy. Perhaps the fall into the lower atmosphere had affected her internally. "Orion..." She cried, forcing her body to slide off of the Royal. She painstakingly reached out and grabbed his shoulders, shaking him frantically. He did not stir. The girl groaned, nearly losing her balance as she struggled to get to her knees. The taste of blood in her mouth made her feel nauseous. Her gaze strayed upward to the place where, or so she thought, the rebel base was. It was in vain, however, as her vision was blocked by the neon blue.

Her gaze, instead, turned back to the Royal. "Orion!" Her voice resonated inside of the spherical barrier, making it sound almost outer-worldly. "Please, Sir..." She choked. "Please be alright! Get up, Sir...Orion..." The blond still remained motionless. Kamrynn was facinated by how strongly he held onto his field, even in such a deep, disturbing slumber. Kamrynn felt his forehead with the back of her hand. It was only now that she realized her other was still gripping her staff. She held it up slightly and let it return to a more compact size, quickly tossing is to the side as she examined his body. Golden blond hair lay swirled around the floor of the barrier. His expression remained pale and helpless, even now, but with a hint of serenity. He looked like a fallen angel. An angel with fever. Kamrynn frowned, pulling her hand away from his face. -He needs blood...or else he might not pull out of this one.-

Suddenly, the field started to fade, taking it to it's normal transparency. Four figures were on the outside. This startled her and she picked up her staff again, extending it to it's true form. "Who's there?!" She shouted, her voice raspy and tired. "Please state your names! I'm afraid we can't be too cautious..." She looked back at the Firenze, still without movement. "Don't worry, Your Highness." She whispered. "I'll protect you."

The field vanished, revealing the two. Kamrynn's eyes flickered with determination, her clothing singed from the blast. Ash dirtied her face in a few places, accompanied by a bit of blood spilling from her lips which she was desperately trying to ignore at the moment by focusing on defending His Highness, Orion, who remained still. His chest heaved slowly, drawing in short, narrow breaths. The girl's eyes narrowed, examining the visitors as well as her surroundings. It struck her: Orion had saved them both, but they had not ended up in their destination. Kamrynn grimaced, looking back toward the sky. "How many...weren't rescued?" She said wondered to herself, her voice wavering.

((Ooc: (edit) No problem. It's no big deal. ^_^ It's actually better off like that. I keep going over in my head how Kamrynn would react to Arty... They're both afraid of the sight of blood, but with her it's more of a phobia (or a mental tick). She might go as far as laughing at him for it...but in a kinder way since they have some common ground. I don't know. I guess I'll need to read an upcoming post to gage a reaction. I just tend to think of these things in advance. >.< ))

OOC|| I'm so sorry guys but I've got so much to do today and tomorrow. I don't want to hold up the RP so I give you permission to RP my characters. I'm guessing the next few posts would be talking so it shouldn't be too bad. You can always pretend they're not there or since Majere isn't very social it'll only be normal for her to keep silent. I really sorry about this. I really want to RP but I'm so stress out right now. >.< I've got so much to do in the next five days
