Opinions are like assholes: Everybody's got one.
I love Avatar more than Naruto,but in reality,Naruto would beat Avatar.For one,Naruto has way more characters,so the Avatar cast would be outnumbered.The Naruto Cast can use their Ninjutsu to create more clones,ensuring their victory.
Avatar is limited to Four Elements and the what can be done with those,like Water for Ice and gases and ect.In the Naruto universe,there's over a thousand jutsus and thousands more to be discovered.
Avatar's four Elements and Nations are Water,earth,Fire and Air,while in the Naruto world,they have Fire,Water,Earth,Wind,Lightning.Then they have smaller villages like Sound,Grass,Waterfall,ect. (though those aren't elements,neither is Lightning).
People in the Avatar world have strength that's just like our world,but in the Naruto universe,characters are way stronger in strength.For example: The Uchiha clan has physical strength that most people don't have,and Kakashi can do push-ups with one hand,with two people on his back,while reading a book (as seen in the Zabuza Saga)
Not only that,but the outcome of such a battle out depends on where the show/characters are at in the series.For example: Would the fight take place within Book 1 of Avatar and Half-way through Part 1 of Naruto,or will it take place during Shippuuden and Book 3? Then there's also chances of it taking place between Book 2 and All of Part 1,ect.
And I agree with Moment Rising.It's really biased to ask something like this in a guild for one of the series.Not only that,but when such things are asked,most of the time people don't even WATCH or Read the other show/story so they just say the one they do watch.So if this was asked in a Naruto guild,most of the people would just say Naruto because they don't watch/care about the other show.It's the same for everything,such as......Teen Titans vs Bleach or something

I think it would be tied, cause Naruto has his Jinstu and Aang has his Bending, its a tose up for me =D

Eh, ZukoMai's right. I like Avatar better for the reasons I've already given. However the Naruto characters would win in a fight, sadly.

Its as easy as Naruto suck like nothing has ever sucked before and Avatar is made from pure Awesomeness.

i think it would depend on where they fight. if there was water around the avatar would have a shot but i think naruto could figure out a way to stop him....over all it would be a very even match but you never know.
