citrimax Dragostae I'm not a vegetarian, but I don't eat a lot of meat. I need it in my diet to keep things where they should be, but on the whole, I prefer it as simply made as possible. Grilled, medium rare. biggrin Overall I like my food made simply as possible. I hate crazy dishes where you can't identify the main ingredient. My mother in law one night was making asparagus...but it was crazy microwaved asparagus with a cup of mayonnaise, some sour cream, some breadcrumbs...omg barf! The smell of it was awful and I'm sorry, but that dish was not asparagus! There was maybe 15 stalks covered in all that goop, yikes. I make my asparagus simple: roasted with salt and pepper, maybe some fresh lemon juice or olive oil. No mayo ever! You sound like you'd make a good judge on Iron Chef...the old, Japanese one, not the American ripoff. It's not the same without Kaga-sama...

citrimax -> that's so cool! Cupcake tower!
A n g e l i c D e m o n -> You'll learn. I only learned the basics of cooking this past summer. There are plenty of simple things to avoid malnutrition.
Botany -> Sushi rules, don't it? I find I prefer the roll stuff. If it's nigiri sushi, I'd rather just have it as sashimi. Salmon sashimi rules...
randomness: I like my salmon raw or smoked, but not cooked (ick).

Like a stir fry with pre-cooked shrimp and some chopped veggies and then you just heat the whole thing up. Gotta be careful, though. Some ramen/instant brands have loads of fat. I've seen types with 18g per half package. (Urk!) Sandwiches are also key. Veggies, lunchmeat, bread, cheese. You're totally covered. ... and leftover pizza wink

I make completely random sandwichs, like peanut butter, marshmallow fluff, and chocolate sauce on white. It turned out okay. Also, you know what I found out yesterday? NEVER look at the nutrition facts of a Big Mac...

NEVER look at the nutrition facts of a Big Mac... Cookbooks are too fun. I've seen some called "half home made" or something to that effect. Nothing in the cookbook is made from scratch. Lol, go on and look at the nutritional info from Burger King and wendy's too. I dare ya! (two words: The Baconator!) I didn't mean to get into calories and stuff, but it is something to be aware of for me. I'm not implying anything about anyone's weight, but who likes the frosh 15, anyway? Awareness is key. That PB concoction sounds tasty (I'd have to try in with cashew butter or almond butter or something) and bananas would likely be yummy in it, too.

My friends can't handle my sweet creations, though. They get grossed out. I love my fast food, and I have the metabolism so I can eat it once in a while, I'd just rather not know what's in it... 54% of the RDA for saturated fat...

I made these cookies one time for a demonstration for my 7th grade class, and they turned out ok.
Wanna know what was in them?
chocolate Cake Mix, Egg, and Mayonaise. :O
The class liked them even though I told them what was in them...
I've also made some brownies with chocolate chips+peanut butter chips.
Those things are amazing.

Ya know I've never really had Sashimi. I don't really have prference though between my rolls though. If it's sushi or more like just fish I'll eat it. XD

Ya know I've never really had Sashimi. I don't really have prference though between my rolls though. If it's sushi or more like just fish I'll eat it. XDYeah, sashimi is just the fish without rice or anything else...well, soy sauce and wasabi on the side, but that's your call. Nigiri is when it's just the fish on top of a ball of rice, sometimes with a little belt of nori around it or stuck on with wasabi, depending on how the chef makes it. The rolls are fun though because then flavours get all combined, which would be pretty much impossible with sashimi (IMHO) the california rolls and dynamite rolls and futomaki just wouldn't be the bite-sized same. On another food note, as some of you know, tomorrow's my birthday, which is great because there's a restaurant in town here where you can get an individual creme brulee for free on said day. Totally rich, but totally worth it once a year. *drools, thinking about tomorrow's lunch...*

Creme brulee is amazing, though! My mom made it once.

Harmonious Chaos I made these cookies one time for a demonstration for my 7th grade class, and they turned out ok. Wanna know what was in them? chocolate Cake Mix, Egg, and Mayonaise. :O The class liked them even though I told them what was in them... I've also made some brownies with chocolate chips+peanut butter chips. Those things are amazing. Mayo is in quite a few cake/cookie recipes and can be used in place of oil, I think. I've had a cake before that was made with mayo and you can't tell the difference at all. It's not like you can taste the mayo...but for me, I had mayo so it's all a mental thing!
