McPhee
As a gay man, logically, I probably shouldn't have any say in any woman's pregnancy-- that's not what I'm asking.

I'm asking for consistency in society's value system when it comes to human life. Is that really so much? I mean, honestly.

Absolutely correct though in that the double standard does exist that men have no way to opt out of pregnancy without seeming like a deadbeat. I mean, when you look at it women have more control in the pregnancy because they do carry the child, but should they have so much control that they get to make a choice that probably will have a negative effect on the man too (if he actually wanted the child)? Not to mention terminating another life.

I know I may seem like a "typical" pro-lifer saying "think of the man", but when I'm in any situation, I also think of everyone else's feelings, not just my own. And if it's a child to the man that a woman is having sex with, and she has an abortion that he doesn't approve of, then she did kill his child (at least in his mind). That would cause me some hardcore trauma.
I never knew you were a guy. XD

Yes people are often massively and insanely hypocritical about abortion. Actually people are often ,massively hypocritical on anything that is sensitive subject. How ever they seem so massively hypocritical that you think every one would notice.

A woman refusing to be a mother is worse for the child. Because if she has an abortion the child died. If the man refuses to be a father and runs out on them yes it is very bad. Most likely it will have emotional effects and such however it does not literally kill the child.

The idea that it is wrong for a man to run out on a child monetarily but that it is okay for a woman to kill her child is corrupted logic and many ways. It also is sexist in both directions oddly enough. It sends the message that woman are not expected to be responsible members of society and that their actions only effect them selves. It teaches them that they can behave like selfish children and only look out for them selves. It also sends the message that fathers are unimportant in so far as making decisions about the family, that they do not have just as much right to look out for the child’s well being as the mother does.
