With a soft groan to her voice as she heard the rodent's response; the vixen placed a hand to her head and took a moment to clear her thoughts of frustrations and thoughts towards the weather.
"My apologies, I-" she began but was halted when she noticed the rat, ears perking forward in curiosity. Her grip tightened on her bow as she let her eyes inspect how shabby the poor creature was. What was going on?

At roughly the moment the vixen's ears perked, Salvatore's own twitched in the direction of the rather poorly attired rat. His hand instinctively slid to Mirabelle, his attention now focused to the bushes near the rat.
"Once again, forgive me, m'lady," he said in a low tone, padding a pace forward. "It seems our latest arrival may have brought some potentially unwelcome company. It appears a proper introduction will have to wait."
He, of course, felt some sympathy, even pity for the rather frail-seeming rat. He made a note to see if there was anything he could do for the poor wretch before moving on. It simply wouldn't do to let someone freeze. . .

Seeing the sword draw by Solomon, the Rat falls back of fear. "I-i..i d-didn't...Please..d-don't..h-h-hurt...m-m-me!" He says as tears start to form in his eyes.
From the bushes a small stone is thrown to Solomon and an even younger Rat girl comes out between the bushes, looking rather angry.
She is holding a few more stones, ready to throw them at anyone who dares to come close. "Don't y-you dare h-hit my b-brother!" She yells.
Her appearens isn't much better then the somewhat bigger rat boy, except that she has two worn out jackets over her clothes. You can clearly see that one of the jackets is to large for her and probably from the boy.

seeing the girl Solomon instantly sheaths his sword, removes his cloak and starts addressing the pair "im sorry miss, sir" then adressing the girl "I wasn't going to hurt your brother, i was going to try and help him when i heard movement in the bushes and i drew my sword, before knowing you where there, take my cloak, please, and let me help you both get to the city safetly as you are going to become ill in this weather"

Lloyd laughs as he sees the small rat girl trying to intimidate the fox infront of him with stones, then he looks around and laughs even harder as he realizes how tense everyone else is.

Makka took a little longer to relax as she eyed the new rodent that had thrown the stone. What were the two creatures doing here anyway?
She frowned and pulled her ears back when she noticed the Jackal laughing. Had they really been under attack he would have been the one caught off guard and yet he felt it appropriate to laugh at their own caution. The vixen sighed, and relaxed her grip on her bow however. She just really needed some sleep; lack of it wasn't doing wonders to her personality.

Seeing that the 'potentially unwelcome company' was but a little girl, likely the older rat's younger sister, an almost embarrased look crossed Salvatore's face. His hand sliding away from his treasured blade, he made a move closer to the young rats and the stranger assisting them.
First, however, he addressed the slightly more high-strung vixen. "Excuse me a moment," he said, thinking to explain himself a bit, but deciding against it seeing her glare at the jackal whom had found some humor in this awkward situation.
He continued to approach calmly with a light smile on his face. "Pardon me," he began, "but if I may be so bold, what are such young ones as yourself doing out here, and in such weather? It's not safe you know. Is there anything I can do to assist you?"

Still angry, cold and scared the little girl threw another rock at Solomon. "Stay b-back. I'm n-not going t-t-to f-fall for your lies" She yells at the same time. She has a pretty good aim and the rock bounses of Solomon's nose, but because the stone was small and had no real power behind it, Solomon hardly felt it. "You are j-just like those o-other foxes in the city." Then everything becomes to much for her and she starts crying. The boy however had recovered from the shock of seeing a sword drawn at him, even though it wasn't ment for him. He is still nerves, but does take the cloak from Solomon and puts it around him The he starts talking "I-I'm sorry, but w-we can't g-go to the c-city, o-our m-mom is waiting at h-home. W-we were waiting f-for dad t-to come h-home from the c-city, b-but he h-hasn't yet. W-we got cold b-but we didn't w-want to leave. Dad h-has been away for m-more then a d-day or t-two now." He looks to his sister and pulls some of the cloak over her to. "W-we don't h-have m-money, but could y-you lookout f-for dad? I could give y-you my w-wooden D-dray, i-if you can b-bring him back." He grabs something from under his shirt and shows it. It's a small wooden Dray neatly crafted from dark wood, whoever made this must be quite good at working with wood. Only the eyes of the Dray seem a little strange, almost as if it were crying.

Solomon looks at the pair and thinks to himself what other foxes? and then speaks to the boy "I cannot speak for the others here" he gestures to people around them "but I will do all I can to find your father, oh and young miss" he turns to the girl "I must say that was a good throw, and you are very brave to stand up tfor your brother as you did but you may want to think before throwing stones you might just hit a Knight." he then winks at her with a slight grin on his face. *note* I have more to add but I will give the others a chance to say or act as they will first

"As will I," Salvatore added, followed by an appraising glance of the fox that had so readilly offered his aid (after scaring the poor children half to death). Not often did he run across actual knights, or even those claiming the title.
"Though, perhaps, it would be best to find you shelter first," he suggested. "Perhaps escort you home. Surely such wouldn't be asking too much. Speaking of escorts . . ."
He turned to the vixen to whom he'd been speaking prior to this diversion. "As noted, it isn't particularly safe to wander alone, especially in such weather. Perhaps you could join us, at least until we reach the city. We would be honored to escort you, wouldn't we, Sir Knight?"
His presumption was more prompted by the knight's apparent nobility of character rather than any notions about leading one either favored enough to be knighted or foolish enough to claim such.

Having recovered from his bout of laughter, Lloyd ambles over to the two rats.
"I shall give you my assistance" he joyfully states while trying not to frighten them further with his presence and voice.

Makka had half dazed off after taking another moment to rub her forehead to clear sleep but it wasn't long before her ears were pulled back again. Courtesy was one thing but singling her out was another. She sighed and rolled her eyes. Why not accept the offer and give herself a moment to relax until she could separate herself again.
Aside from the thoughts of herself, she returned her gaze to the children and couldn't help but smile warmly at the male rodent's offer. It was incredibly adorable that he would offer such a thing but it was also incredibly kind especially after scaring them; not that they hadn't returned the favor; both parties had startled each other.
"I think I could hardly reject both offers I have been handed. And please do forgive me if I come off as harsh; I haven't had a good nights rest in days because of this accursed weather." She offered in explanation and she presented both children a smile from her spot a little to the back of the group.

The boy seems quite happy "T-thank you s-sirs and madam, w-we live in the woods, r-right over t-there." He point to the forest to the right of the road, as if it were hard to see.
The girl has calmed down, but still throws an angry look at Solomon, other then that she keeps quite.
"B-but.." The boy looks down. "M-mom told us n-not to talk to s-strangers. S-she m-might not be h-happy if you c-came with us."
