Kanto Pokemon Journey :: Days 1&2
Dear Diary,
I've finally started my Pokemon journey, just like I'd always wanted. Aunt Kaoru was nice enough to let me spend a night at her house so I could get my Pokemon and Pokedex from Prof. Oak and still be rested for my long journey. I have to admit, I was a bit nervous about being on my own, and I guess I still kind of am. I'll admit I don't really think things through or plan ahead very well. I prefer to just take things as they come...as Momma says, "Che sera, sera!" Hopefully that won't get me into trouble, though... But it's OK. My first Pokemon that Prof. Oak gave me was a Bulbasaur. Bulby's so strong and protective, that I know I'll be OK with him around. It feels so good to have someone like that, someone who you know you can always count on.
I got to a bit of a rough start today, but Bulby helped me through it. I must say, though, I met quite a few characters along the way (already...I was surprised)! The first person that I met was this really tall, dark-haired boy. I later found out his name was Hideki Kudo. He was really rude to me at first and I was so upset, I ran off toward the Viridian Forest without thinking! But the Bulbasaur of another trainer nearby had stopped me. It's trainer was a silver-haired boy who I met up with again later and learned his name was Aisumaru. Aisumaru warned me not to go into the forest, but of course I didn't listen and went anyway.
Needless to say, that wasn't a good idea, since I was attacked by a swarm of Beedrill! I was so scared that I was holding onto Bulby so tightly that he couldn't even help me! And just when I thought it was all over, who shows up but Hideki! He and his Vulpix, Aki, saved me from the Beedrill and then carried me to a safer location. I fell asleep before we got there, but Hideki had gotten out my sleeping bag and everything. What a weird day!
But it gets better...this morning I woke up to find Hideki sleeping next to me! We got into a bit of an argument and, to make a long story short, he wound up leaving me on my own in the forest. But it wasn't so bad. I got to train my Pokemon and catch some new Pokemon friends! I'm getting much better as a trainer and beating bug catchers left and right!
But training wasn't the only thing to happen today. I met up with Aisumaru again, who had camped out in the forest. He was nice enough to make my Pokemon and I some lunch (and boy were we starving!). I got to talk to him a bit too. He seems kind of cold and mysterious on the outside, but he really loves Pokemon and wants to be a breeder. I think he's got a senstive side in their somewhere. He was certainly very nice to me, and I get the feeling his looks are just very deceiving.
Aisumaru and I wound up parting ways to continue training. In just two days I had met the most peculiar of boys - both about my age (but I think they think I'm much younger than I actually am...I guess I don't really look 14). Anyway, that's it for now. It's getting to be late afternoon and I can't write anymore if I want to get to Pewter before dark.
Until next time...Ciao!
Mimi
