He laughed, loudly, now and shook his head. "Of course..." He grinned and shrugged. "I am Janus. No man you should fear." He scratched the back of his neck. "Now, what might you be doing out by yourself in the middle of nowhere, Shika?"

He stepped back a bit at her forwardness. "You'll learn to keep things like that to yourself. Don't go about shouting you're not the best ruler. That's a good way to get yourself killed. I've a feeling you're rather more inexperienced than you let on."

He shook his head. "You'll bend no will of any man with an attitude like that." He rolled a shoulder, "Especially not mine. Now what else are you doing?"

"Oh?" He stepped forward, towering over her, "And just why can't you tell me? You're awfully comfortable speaking that way to someone so much bigger than you, much less a stranger."

His hands darted out from his sides and pinned her arms to her torso. "Why's that?" His grin was lopsided, maniacal. "Littling...?"

He laughed so hard at her sudden outbust that his grip loosened and his arms fell away from her. "W-wrath!?!?" He gasped for air. "'S'at something your momma says?" He stepped backward, bracing himself against the tree as he caught his breath. "You're TOO easy."

Janus straightened immediately. "You think I won't? I just said I think you're funny. That doesn't mean I won't take advantage of you. As I've said. You don't know anything about me. And here I already know you're on a quest to be a better ruler, you're hot-tempered, unsure of your own abilities, hesitant, and above all else, completely ignorant to the world around you."

He stiffled a laugh. "Yes, yes. I'm so afraid. Do yourself a favor and calm down." He held his hands up again. "I won't touch you again. You aren't my type."
