is there a Yuricon or do you have to go to Otakucon or Comike?
darn i wonder if its hard to get tickets for japan and comike...
I really havent found any Yuri books anywhere! which is ironic because stores sell Yaoi books alot.
Sailor moon doesn't count.

It sounds wonderful, though, and if it gets me hooked on more Yuri titles, that would be a good reason to go. It's very scarce here, and a con dedicated to shoujo-ai-esque manga would be kickass. Maybe I'll attend sometime in the coming two years or so!

I think Yuri-con will be in Fanime this year, but I'm not sure if I want to go unless I find someone to go with.

I've never actually attended this con, but I've wanted to for a while. Problem is that it falls right in the middle of the quarter/semester/etc. so I've never been able to go. If I do, I'll probably be going with friends but we could definitely meet up. =D
It does look like Yuricon will be at Fanime, but they incorrectly listed the con as in San Francisco on their website...it's actually in San Jose...Anyway, they'll be there, apparently as a panel.

I'd love to! I seriously want to go, the only reason I've never made it so far (tons of friends want to go, I want to go, srsly the whole thing) is academics. They were too close to AP exams/midterms/finals. I thiiiiink I might be able to go this year, but we really have to see. :[ I shall bother you immediately when I'm pretty sure. :3
You're my age or close, huh? I never really thought about it until you said "underage kids" hahaha. But yeah hmm. =O

Too bad my favorite member in the band left and got replaced by some other guy. Bo was very adorable and I was hoping he will be there. >_<
o_o Your school is evil for having the exams near the con. Good thing I'm still in city college or else I won't have the time and it would be too far.
I'm 19 years but can't drink yet. @_@ I could in China and got myself sick. <3
I heard there were hot yuri night last year or the year before at the Fanime forum.

Blood_Miracle Ah, one of the most awesome shoujo-ai and yuri companies EVER. They basically just publish yuri and shoujo-ai from Japan. Some mature, others not so much, but they work really hard, and it's nice to know we have at least one big supporter. Personally, I'm hoping to get my shoujo-ai fantasy story published by them, or Tokyopop. Anyway, they've been to a few anime conventions, and I actually saw them when I went to Otacon (Stupid little brother wouldn't let me buy them because he'd be emberassed. stare ), and they had a lot of books on sale. They had shoujo-ai AND yuri, so they're pretty open about it. Of course, they were kinda close to the Yaoi booth, so it was hard to manuever. xp I was at otakon and i bought every one they had it was so cool i wish i could have gone to the actuall yuri convention they where hosting but it was only a one day con and i had to work crying so will you be at otakon this year too

Haha all of my schools seem to have? I blamed the con for having really shitty timing. If it'd been in summer I would have made it ages ago. D<
Yeah, same; I'm legal in Taiwan (and just about anywhere except the United States, really...) but I really don't like the taste of alcohol at all, so I don't really take anything and I've never been drunk or even nearly so.
Haha I'd expect Fanime to have at least a reasonable catering to yuri fans. It is the Bay Area, and there's enough of a gay culture, especially around San Francisco, for a fair number of queer people to show up. And of course, there're the guys. So I'm sure it'll be present. ;D
