I do take it seriously, but that's fun for me! Like when I'm learning a new song, I know that if I work hard on it, at some point it'll be really easy to play. That's very satisfying for me!

When I sing or play guitar I'm usually in a certain mood. It effects what song I sing or what I play on my guitar. So, I'll say I play just for fun, yet it's serious to me because it's an extention of me.

I do love music... I think better when listening to it. i take it seriously, while at the same time, enjoy it and have fun. the problem is life interfears. its hard to fit music in around work and school...

Music is my life. But as far as playing it I'm pretty much in it for fun and creativity. The band I'm in is pretty serious about it as a whole. We have fun with it, but we take it seriously.

EAlicea1 I really Enjoy playing music one thing I want to point out and I want to know is that well Who here takes music serously and who just has fun with it?? Well I know that I like to have fun with muisc, Music is like an art that you should have fun with as well as being creative with it. Music is somthing that can be veiwed very seriously but I find that music that the more you have fun with it the more benificial the results of the song the better the song is and the longer you play your instrument. I take it seriously because it's what I'm majoring in right now. But I love the feeling of performing, playing, and writing music... so I also have a ton of fun with it.

I take music seriously, but I also have fun with it. To me, if you can make money doing the thing you love, then that's the ultimate. Singing and playing guitar is something I can escape to. When I play, there's this place I go. I don't come back until the song is over. It's a strange euphoria. I'm also a songwriter. I can't just sit down with my guitar and paper and say "Ok, I'm going to write a song". I need to feel inspired. My inspirations are very sporatic. They can be 2 in the morning or 1 in the afternoon. And sometimes I only write part of the song. Once I get to a certain point, it lets me know I'm finished. It's like "Ok, that's enough. Come back to it tommorow." I know this sounds a little crazy, but what musician isn't a little eccentric?

i take it seriously and fun cus at school I do all the music programs and i love it. I also take it seriously cus I get paid occasionally to play for a group in my community. Ingeneral tho music is only fun for those who really like it, and at the same time its serious cus it takes lots of work, time, and money to be successful at it.

So i do try to do as much as i can whenever possible.

All I can really say is this, music is basically life. It's what you make of it. You can take it seriously or you can make it fun. It is all depending on the person. I take music as, like some of you have said, both ways. I love listening to music because it is fun, but when I'm singing, I have to concentrate on what I'm doing and take it seriously. I love singing but if I don't like what I am singing and don't take it seriously, then what is the point?

I certainly don't do music becase it pays or anything so i must do it for fun. I really enjoy playing songs on my drums and if it wasn't for fun i would probably stop because then it woould just feel like work and no one likes working xd
