Hm, you said no Valar, how about Melian? Why? Well, she was wise and powerful, and helped many people and was the mother of a strong bloodline that shaped the world for countless years... Considering all of that, yeah, I think I'd definitely like to be her. biggrin

Despite the fact that he died, I would want to be Fingolfin. I loved Fingolfin.

hmm...tough question. I think probably one of the elves of the Silmarillion, like Lúthien. They just seem so beautiful, graceful and wise. None of which I really am. sweatdrop Plus that, Beren seems nice.

Well, I seem to agree with the majority: I'd like to be Eowyn. As others have said, she is strong, and unafraid to fight for her beliefs and her people. She is the poster girl for feminism! And yet, she is still able to accept when she falls in love. She just kicks bum. It would also be cool to be a random Shire Hobbit. I love the smials. xd

Being Arwen would be neat...she's beautiful, intelligent, marries Aragorn, etc.
But who I would want to be most is a fair elven woman met by the Hobbits at the end of the Return of the King...I don't think I dreamed her up, however, I can't seem to the find the small part in the book at which they meet her. I think her name was...was it Tinuviel? The name sticks in my head, but I can't remember who it belonged to. I thought they met her at the inn, but that would be an odd place to meet an elf, wouldn't it? eek I looked in the book, but I can't find her description. She was a beautiful elf, with eyes like stars and blonde hair, etc.etc...a total dream of beauty and wisdom. I really loved her character as soon as I came upon it! Now I'm sad that I can't find her in the book...ah well...another day, someday, I will. biggrin

I know this sounds silly, with my being a girl and all, but I would love to be Aragorn. He is wise, has a very long life, marries a beautiful elf, and gets to chum around with the important people! What's not to like!? Peace, Syapherian

Did you see it in the movie's extended edition? I haven't see the extended editions yet, but I would bet there's no such an elf in the books or not extended movies... confused

No god.... Well if maia is okay I want to be Eonwe, who was the Herald of Manwe.
A character that personally touched my heart was niether Beren nor Lucien, who are well known for pure, strong love. Yeah, they're recognized as one of the best romantic figures in Middle Earth.
The character that impressed me the most in Silmarillion was Beleg Cuthalion aka Strongbow. He was an elf from Doriath and was a chief of the marchwardens of Thingol.
He was a loving friend of Turin and was faithful to him no matter what. He becomes a great help along the way. He tries to rescue Turin when he was captured by orcs. But when he cut the bounds his knife slipped and Turin, who thought he was an orc, slayed him.

I would most definitely want to be Arwen! Ever since I saw her, her beauty has been in my mind, if only I could be as beautiful as she. I would also adore learning how to speak Elvish, it is such a beautiful language. Arwen is so genuinely perfect.
If Arwen is out of the question then I would have to be Galadriel, she is my next favorite.
