Nothing remarkable happened today oddly enough, no interruptions from crows no tormenters. I rather liked it the way it was today. Simple undisrupted solitude was my comrade for the day. I sat concealed in the forest gazing at the clear blue sky with my tail curled around me.

Earlier I had stolen some wallets and disappeared as usual, I haven't heard Elena call for me in a while either. Maybe I should see how she's doing and help around the store instead of absorbing myself in my pastime of thievery. But I do enjoy the solitude were I don’t have to worry about anything…

I sat on a roof and stared at the beautiful sky. The sun was setting and the stars were coming out one after the other and at the opposite end the moon shone brightly. A tear rolled down my cheek. Staring at the sky made me feel better. It was a way to draw my thoughts from the horrible thing that had happened earlier this afternoon.... I hope My sister was alright....

"Don't touch my sister!" I yelled at the stupid crow. My tail flicked back and forth angrily and keeping a wary eye on all three crows.

"Why?" the crow sneered holding my older sister tightly by the arm. His two other friends took bags and started emptying the shelves. "Go get the more expensive things," ordered the lead crow.

"Eris go, get out." Elena said clearly concerned with my safety. Her voice was pleading "It's better if you leave!"

I shook my head "No!" I said stubbornly leaping onto the bookshelf and jumping to a higher place. The crows this time didn’t have wings but that still didn't stop them from changing form as I tried to rock the bookshelf in order to scare away the crows and maybe make the lead drop her sister so that she could get away.

It didn't work, as the book shelf fell the two crows transformed into ravens and avoided the shelf the leader on the other hand didn't move like he knew it wasn't going to hit him. my sister Struggled a bit trying to remove herself from his iron grip. I had leapt to a nearby banister.

"Get the rat!" cawed the lead "And don't loose it! Anwen are able to camouflage themselves."

One of the other crows transformed back into their other form while a raven continued circle above I watched it carefully as the other I noticed had returned to looting our store. I hissed and glared and my fur stood on end.

“GO!” yelled my sister struggling again “I will find you latter, just go!”

Her yell snapped me out of my hateful glare and I looked at her momentarily distracted. Why did she want me to go? I wondered. I could take care of these crows and myself… ok so I couldn’t take care of the crows myself but I wanted to help anyway. Was my sister thinking of me as a hindrance? I ducked suddenly feeling a hand try and clasp me.

I slipped “Ahh!” I said loosing my balance. I had been in my thoughts and the crow had used this to his advantage. I jumped away from the crow but I felt his fingers against my tail my blue eyes widened as I jumped praying I was just out of his reach.

A window! I landed on it, clumsily and slipped for lack of balance I quickly grabbed the windowsill with my pale hands and pulled myself back up. I looked at my sister once more before leaving through the open window and fleeing without looking back…
