Artes walked happely out of the cave, still whistling away. He looked a little different. He had ripped away the sleeves of his showy clothing and wore his cloak more as a cape. The minor jewelry he had worn was nowhere to be seen and his money pouch was on his belt, though he had tied it securely. He smiled at all three, but didn't say anything.

"Exuberant is not the word I would have chosen..." Kreen says, narrowing his golden-red eyes as the newcomer leaves their mutual quarters. "Honestly, my stashes are laid out so I can easily reach them but are nigh impossible to spot. Due to this configuration, they are rather extensive and not designed for moving very often. I have only had to do that twice previously, and those times were while I was in the lucrative employ of some of the more...benevolent rulers who still have an idea of the world around them (and who opt to remain nameless). I do have two stashes to retrieve, as well. One I will have to stop by on the way into the city for clothing, and I will gather the rest of the items contained therein on my way out since it is by far the smaller of the two. For the cache inside the city, however, I will require either a packmule or..." the assassin grins inwardly as he turns his gaze to the newcomer, "a packhuman to carry both sets of equipment at the same time. Perhaps we could hire a wagon? I will not require the use of the funding you have given us very much, so such a thing is possible." The assassin neglects to respond to the question of whether or not he remembers the location. He can remember anything he wants for any length of time, of course he remembers.

"Cliff right..." Rath tried to calm down. "So, I have no currency with me..." He replied to Zeal's words. "So whats this hollow?"So were going to the city to gather more supplies if needed. Hm, new friends to make! He watched Kreen and Zeals conversation, but heard no word, just lips moving up nad down. Kreen stared at him. "What??" Rath was terribly confused. He tended to forget things easily when he wakes up, then, soon it all, most of it rather, comes flooding back later in the day. He turned around again to pick up his current belongings to bring along. He grabbed his coat off his bed and twin-scythe below it. He started heading out again. And thn he noticed Artes walking and whistling. He then saw Valden just flying in. Oh yes! Dragons! A hint of a smile dimpled his right cheek. "Er, what do I need to buy?" Rath asked, not remembering the last time he had bought anything new, let alone, anything. All his clothes were hand-me-downs from his father and brother. Ah...family. Where could they be?

"I would recommend, using the money that our gracious host has given us," Kreen says, drawing from his belt one of the second two pouches of gold he picked up earlier (since he anticipated this very situation would arise and he could save even a little bit of time, plus he was and still remains unsure he can trust the human to not lose the substantial sum therein) and holding it out to the newcomer, "that you purchase either a new weapon or an upgrade for your current one. Some clothes, perhaps, would be a good idea, and a secondary weapon would be best. You will not always be able to rely on that bastardized polearm for defence."

((Caitlin has been removed from this roleplay at her request. Another applicant will be taking her place and has been added to the member list.))
Zeal listened in silence while continuing to eat. He smiled slightly when Kreen didn't respond to his subtle joke about the fae's memory. Finishing one fruit, he turned to look at Rath with a rather neutral expression.
"Kreen, I think that both ideas have merit. Maybe Rath could pull the wagon." Zeal's smile was thin and only slightly amused. "I wouldn't want anyone else carrying my belongings, myself." Especially if they have short-term memory loss...
Kreen's words were easily sufficient as answer to Rath's questions and Zeal supported them with a small nod of confirmation before returning to his contemplation of the light. Valden, why am I suddenly beginning to worry about this trip? I usually don't get feelings like this. Zeal knew better than to show his thoughts on his face but his eyes did lose focus as he concentrated on his mental conversation.
Valden watched the light grow in strength, his smile of amusement remaining fairly constant. He snorted once at Zeal's sense of humor, raising his chin a little higher in the process. Zeal's instincts were one thing that this particular dragon had learned to respect a great deal. I don't know. Perhaps this isn't going to be as simple as we planned. We will have to be cautious. Valden stretched his wings, his smile dissolving rapidly.

Arts barely noticed, but he still saw the flicker of observance in Zeal's eyes. He softly asked in a concerned tone, "Zeal, is everything alright? You seem a little distant."
He shifted his weight onto his other foot. It seemed like there should be nothing to discomefort or through off Zeal for anything. It fealt impossible.

Ruki sat calmly beneath the trunk of a large tree, well... it was large to him anyway. He watched the clouds in the sky float by slowly with his small hat resting to his right and his staff to his left. A light breeze suddenly blew and it caused him to shiver a little as it gently played through his lavender hair. He sighed and then stood up, brushing himself off. Ruki picked up his pointed hat and placed it on his head, then took his staff in his right hand. He smiled a big, goofy grin and whispered to himself, "It's time to go.".

((I have just recieved a pm from Haeo. The message contained therein asked me to tell you all that his computer is on the fritz and his replies will be sporadic or not at all. He was, appearantly, unsure he would even be able to get off that lone pm, so I don't think this bodes well for advancing the rp.))

((That's fine Jace. I have quite a bit of work to do myself. Two villians are under construction and circumstances are being set up. A plot may actually begin to move around a bit soon. smile ))

((By the way, I've long suspected this but never actually said anything. Did you base the human-dragon relationship in this rp around that in the Dragonriders of Pern?))

((That was my inspiration. I believe that I took it farther though. It is a cool series. I especially like... hmmm... Dragon Singer? I think that was the one. It's the one where Menolly gets her fire lizards. You'll know it when you run into it.))

((I have to say, I did like that. One thing I didn't like is this: As far as I can tell, every single problem they run into in the primary bookset of the Dragonriders trilogy (Lessa), the Dragonsinger trilogy (Menolly), and All the Weyrs of Pern (all of the above plus several others) is indirectly or directly Lessa's fault. Now, I enjoy this conversation, but can we please try to get on with it? This is getting boring, and you have demonstrated that you can eventually get a post out here.))
