동=dong=east
해=hae=sun
So his name actually means east sun.... Which makes more sense too... sweatdrop

It might be both... Umm... Sino-Korean, hangul gotten from Chinese and so it would have more than one meaning. I can ask my korean teacher on Tuesday; or I'll try looking it up in my Korean-English dictonary over the weekend, kay? :]]

it's so cute how Donghae said I don't know when the girl asks what is his name is East Sea (Dong Hae) and then then she asks is it because he lives in the East Sea and he does Yeah~
