He really hoped that Princess Misaen's growl was because of Princess Adurna, because if she was growling at him...He didn't think so, though. She was very well behaved, and he understood very well the sort of anger that spoiled idiot b***h of a Princess could inspire in others.
Really, he had no idea how similar (or different) the politics of females were from the males, since he had done his best to avoid all of them, since just the thought of what they were handed because of luck drove him nearly insane.
And he didn't want to share too many of his secrets, either. He wanted to believe that she would never tell anything he told her not to, but he didn't want to give anyone that much power, to know any of his secrets. Too much leverage, and he couldn't risk that. He wasn't about to put such a weapon in her paws.
And even if she didn't tell on purpose, she might still leak something...She seemed more mature than the hyper kit she had been, but when she had first seen him, she was still not very mature. Definitely not a good idea to go passing on his secrets.
He would have to find more roundabout ways of telling her, so it seemed as if she was making the discovery herself. She seemed to idolize him, (if he was right, and it wasn't all just an act), so she would place too much importance on anything he told her. But if he found a way to make it seem as if she found something out for herself...Either she would doubt how good it was, which would be good for him, or she would be extremely proud of herself, and start bragging, which would be bad.
There had to be a better way to go about this. Oh, she would probably respond to what he had said the way he wanted, and mention that she was female, and could become Queen, but short term accomplishments didn't do all that much good in the long run, when dealing with something like this.

Misaen was shaking with anger as she laid down beside Xerxes once more. How she loathed and hated the other princess. She could not wait for the day she was bigger. Until then she would train hard to become very strong.
she growled angrily. Misaen would rather die then call Adurna queen.

He had some ideas, but he had to be wary about passing them on. Maybe occasionally prod her in the right direction, or at the very least, off the wrong path.
If he could be rid of the unjustness of this system by having her rule for him...It would be a great day indeed. So what if females were few? Rank battles were rarely deadly, and it wasn't that hard to punish anyone stupid to kill a female. But nooo, females had to automatically outrank the males.
He hoped that Princess Adurna did something to piss off the Queen, so she would be demoted. Oh, the Queen still stood in his way, but at least that would be one less problem to worry about. The Queen was old, after all, older than Princess Adurna, possibly older than him. Hopefully, she would die soon, so he could put his plan into action. But not before demoting Princess Audurna, of course. Maybe the b***h-Princess would do something so bad, the Queen would demote her all the way down to Omega, where the idiot belonged, along with Altair and Blackheart and so many of the younger Damphousse.
He wanted to make her focus on that question, so she would have an idea, if it did come to that, even though it shouldn't. But you always had to have many well thought out plans, since you never knew what life would throw at you.
He also asked the question to see what she would say about him in the new pack. Would she assume that he would come with her? If so, would he get to keep his position? (He didn't see why not--but the female mind was a strange thing).
Would she, perhaps, promise some sort of immunity to him, so his position was guaranteed to him, no matter what? Before, he hadn't minded proving challengers wrong, and the thrill of risking his position in battle, but it was hard to rule when you were at the bottom of the food chain.
That last one was such a soft thought. He couldn't possibly take her up on her offer, if she did mention that. The point of the system was to make sure that the most fit ruled, and if one day he lost that...Well, so be it. Hopefully, what he had done to her would last, and make her still respect him, even if he started slipping through the ranks.
And how the females were separate from this system...That just made it worse. Oh, the Queen was the female most fit to rule, but what if a male was a better choice for a leader than a female? What then?
Nothing, that's what. The male would simply have to find better ways to work around the system.

Choas watched Altair for a little longer waiting for him to hear her. She was in the open just watching him. If he didn't find out soon she would find Nlackheart then see Altair a bit later on.

Misaen paused to ponder the Alpha's question. In truth she didn't know. All she knew was this system of caves and had only been away from them that one time with Xerxes.
she began slowly, furrowing her eyebrows in thought. She stopped again, lifting her head off her paws and looked over at him with a serious frown.
She puased and sniffed the air, smelling the queen nearby. Dang, it was a perfect oppertunity to speak with her. Though she knew the Alpha's feelings on the female. She turned and looked at the female, weighing the situation. Xerxes would get mad if she called to the queen, but she couldn't get to know the female and get on her good side if she remained silent. Finally she heaved a sigh and gave the Alpha an apologetic look. she called up, turning and nodding.

Chopas decided to leace leave altair for a little while. She flew over to the princess and Alpha. She wasn't really in the mood to talk to the alpha but aybe it could be fun she didn't know. but after this she was going to ask Altair if he was healed enogh to fight Blackheart to decide the real winner.

Misaen quirked her eyebrows at the Queen, a small twitching cringe couldn't be helped when Adurna was mentioned. she said with a devious little smirk. Of course, that didn't quite sound like her idea of fun.

She nodded to the queen and sat down. She said before laying back down with a small sigh. Her stomach had been in a knot the entire time they were speaking.

Altair barely noticed that the Queen was there, before she had left again. He wished he had noticed sooner, so he could have greeted her, been polite--made sure to stay on her good side.
he said to her when she came back from speaking with the Princess and Alpha. He was glad that she had come back, so he could make sure she realized he hadn't been ignoring him on purpose. He wasn't so incredibly stupid as to offend the Queen--he knew that he needed to stay on her good side, or else he was doomed.
