The tan splotched fen gave Naolin a gentle smile, admiring her feather. "Well, your a lucky one, having a best friend that will sacrifice their feathers for you." Kagei laughed for a moment, ears twitching as he floated and gently beat his wings. He then listened to Skyfire. "Yeah, it is kind've odd Flame would adopt a pony. Well, I guess you can start off adopting something for no real reason, and then grow to love it." that was his theory.

Perhaps Flame adopted Naolin as a favor or jsut to try something new, and then just loved the little pony to death.

The elder fenthry watched as Naolin dismissed herself form the two fluttering creatures and laughed into his palm, giving Skyfire a smile. "That's pretty cool, Flame is like, a legend of the store now." He grinned, his tail swishing with every few beats of his mighty wings, then a little bit of a frown reached hips lips. "You and Nightstar aren't very close, than?" He asked, curious of why the two fen wouldn't refer to each other as siblings, but she would call an entire different species as her sister.

Meanwhile, Maine was still a mess on the inside as he tried to avoid those feelings of attraction inside of him. He gently stroked Femi, trying to bring up a conversation. Then, as if a finger snapped in his head, he came up with a pretty good question for Koe. "What do you think Femi will look like when she comes out?" He asked, knowing it could be any day now. "What do you think her personality will be, or maybe defects from staying in the feather so long."

Kagei frowns a bit as he listens, but he puts on a light smile after she finishes explaining the relaitonship between the two fen. He moves a bit closer, putting his hand on her shoulder to comfort the fenthry. "You know he loves you, he's your family. Sometimes people just prefer not to show how they feel about others. Even if he acts annoyed by you or says your bossy, you should know there's a part of him that cares for you." He gives her a warm smile, trying to be supportive.

The bell over the door chimes softly, the noise fading into the soft pattering of rain. From some far-off corner of the shop, the water demon's attention is grabbed by the sound of water dripping on hardwood, and it streams from its hiding place to assault the new soaking occupant.

Who, it just so happens, is D-chan, looking rather battered and worn, like a child's toy that has seen a few too many years. She barely notices as the water demon happily engulfs her, gurgling all the while, before leaving her dry and fluffed to chase after the soaking bundle of muscle and black feathers that followed the fox-girl in throught the door.

The half-fox falls on the couch, mumbling to herself as her tail flicks weakly over the side to hang to the floor. "Five more minutes," she grumbles, rolling over to face the back of the sofa...and completely forgetting to remove her backpack.

"Ack! It got my wing again!!" a familiar voice pipes up, forcing the zipper of a low-lying pocket down. Kurenai peeks out, looking into the familiar corners of the shop with a bright smile. "Hey, we''re here!!" she calls, crawling out of the small compartment and flying gracefully to the table.

Danyeh's head follows, looking around blearily. It seems that he was asleep for most of the trip...with a mighty yawn, he scampers out of the bag and follows Kurenai to the table, watching with sleepy interest as the fenthry dances her way around the table. It's so nice to see her back to normal again...as Grei flutters down beside him, the black-winged songfox smiles and sits, head in his hands as his eyes close again. Five more minutes, indeed.

D-chan's tail flicks at the mention of rain. "I love it, too, but it's rather annoying when you're trying to combat a water demon that feeds off of the weather," she mumbles, finally managing to work her backpack off while still lying in a heap on the couch. "Meh." As Maine darts around her, looking around for the shy fenthry that so often resides somewhere just out of sight, she waves with two fingers before pulling her screen of hair away.

And there, huddled on her shoulder with Kaju, sits Koe, rocking back and forth with the little fenthry and whispering yet another quiet tale into her ears. As his cover is pulled away, he pauses, looking around curiously...before spotting Maine.

A smile lights his face as he waves with startling enthusiasm to the pale fenthry, his expression so bright and cheery that one would think he had just heard the latest idea straight out of the oven of D-chan's brain. He even fails to catch himself, though his waving does subside soon after as he stands with the little bunny fenthry entrusted to his care. "Maine! How are you?" he calls, his voice still quiet but louder than anyone has heard it yet.

Kurenai stares as Koe so cheerfully calls out to this fenthry. What happened!? Since when has he been social!? A smile lights her face as she twirls on the table. "Koe made a new friend!" she squeaks, pouncing on Danyeh and knocking him to the table. "Ooh, that's wonderful! He needs more friends."

Danyeh, for his part, doesn't even struggle against the fenthry as she pins him to the floor in the start of a dog-pile, which Grei finishes by planting himself squarely in the middle of Danyeh's back. Why him? Why won't they just let him sleep?
