Final Fantasy VII, in the year of 2000. Saw an article on FFIX and I was hooked on FF without playing any of it.

the first rpg that i played that got me hooked was the first final fantasy than i movedon to the zeldas the shining force games and the other final fantasy games and although this isnt the question i feel i must say that ff7 wasthe best rpg i ever played

What got me hooked was FF6..! I fell in love with the king of Figaro when I lay my sites on him!!

Super Mario RPG was the rpg that hooked me first. Used to play fighting games and action adventure but haven't looked at them the same since. Exceptions ( devil may cry and ANYTHING that has snk or street fighter characters in 2d)

I got hooked when a friend of mine got me to play FF8 for PSX. After that, FF7 is now my favorite RPG.
