She growled at ehr patheticness and jumped back. She had miss aimed and hurt ehr paws. She didn't give in to a little pain though and attacked again.

Again with the eyes! Didn't Blackheart know that Altair had him figured out? Or was this just a trap, to lure him into a false sense of security? Would Blackheart switch targets after a while, thinking that Altair was expecting yet another attack to the eyes? Did Blackheart think that he could blind him, making the fight that much easier for Blackheart? Was Blackheart planning on having the youth do something? Because right now all the youth was doing was being a real annoyance. Oh, he was strong for a youth, but strong for a youth and strong weren't the same thing at all.

Altair kept himself ready for whatever Blackheart would try next, whatever dirty trick he wanted. Really, how pathetic, needing two of them to fight him!

Altair taunted. He half hoped the jibe would be enough to cause Blackheart to want to fight him alone, but he knew it was doubtful. Unless the Queen or some other superior proclaimed that the fight was unfair, without him asking for their help, he was stuck in this two-to-one fight. And he wasn't about to shame himself by asking for help. He was going to fight both of them if he had to!

It was just to put him off guard, then. Altair couldn't evade that attack, since he had the youth still clamped onto his ankle, which greatly reduced his movement. He didn't think that the wound would keep him from flying. It wasn't as if he would have a chance to see, though, with the deadweight clamped to his leg. He kicked at it again, knowing that kick still probably wasn't strong enough to dislodge whoever was behind him. But he couldn't afford to turn around and attack the youngling properly.

<Nearly. Nearly doesn't get you rank, but appearantly nearly drives you to rely upon others for your success. And if you loose this fight...> Altair let the threat hang, knowing that if Blackheart lost, while depending on another to help him win, than the amount of ridicule and scorn that he had coming would be incredible.

Altair swiped at Blackheart's eyes. Let Blackheart see just how much fun an eye injury was!

Blackheart felt Altair get a bit of his cheek. Blackheart went for Altair's front leg with his teeth.

He couldn't dodge that one, either, with the stupid youngling clamped onto his leg! He had never expected to have to deal with the weight of a youngling holding him back in battle, and so he really couldn't do anything about the youngling, except kick in his general direction every now and then, and hope one eventually landed in either a sensitive enough spot, or with enough force to make the youngling let go.

And that attack had hurt. He hadn't come away with any lasting wounds from his last battle, but he wondered if this one might possibly be a bit more permanant.

Altair couldn't bite Blackheart back, held back as he was by the youngling on his leg, so all he could do was swipe at Blackheart's face, and aim for his eyes again. Blackheart hadn't experienced an eye injury yet, while Altair had. He could cope if his eye got hurt again, although he wouldn't exactly be pleased. But could Blackheart compensate?

(woo lots happened while teh Lu was gone. And er...he's a youngling, not a kit)

Calix had recieved the kicked, though sustained little more than a small bruise. He did let go and prowled the fight. They were moving around so fast that it was hard to judge when to attack. At long last he had seen an opening but a voice sounded towards him. Had it not been the queen Calix would have snapped back. The youngling gave and little growl but sat back, her claws digging into the dirt. Who cares about fair...when I'm bigger and we rank battle the alpha she won't interfear... he called for all to hear. (No offense to anyone ^_^; just RPing)

Calix blinked at the Queen as she spoke. Can she read my thoughts? he wondered to himself. The youngling still glowered but nodded in his understanding. he asked looking at the deer he and Blackheart had felled. He wondered how they had all seen them down here. Afterall they had been in the woods.
