"The name escapes me, but it takes place in a few days, on the 17th. There will be a parade, as well as games and food," the kitsune explained. He was sure that the boy would enjoy it. Maybe he wouldn't have before, but now that he seemed to look at things differently....
((I do actually have a festival in mind. Gion Matsuri is the one I am talking about.))

(OOC: Yay! Cause my mind is all a fuzz with trying to find a second job.)
Hiei smiled at the thought of actually going outside, despite his fear of being taken again, he really did want to go to see the festival. "That sounds like something we can do." He commented, truthfully.

"I think you'll like the festival." The fox could have said more-or simply teased him, which he figured might hurt his feelings, so he refrained-, but didn't want to bore the other with what he would surely have deemed rambling. Really, Kurama was just glad that the other boy would be coming, since he had expected him to not want to go for some reason or another. Reasons like having to be around people he didn't trust or fear of being harmed.

"But- you have to be near me.... Since I'm still a little nervous over the whole situation."

Kurama smiled slightly. That wouldn't be anything hard to do, being close to him. Actually, he would prefer it that way. "You don't need to worry. I know you'll be nervous, so I want to make you feel better about it."

"Thanks..." He commented, truthfully.
He wasn't used to such treatment anymore, how could he have taken it so lightly before? He had no clue, all that he knew was that he wasn't what he used to be.

"You're welcome," he replied automatically.
Indeed he was different, but he was making progress. The fox didn't expect him to go back to normal by any means, but him being a demon again and being more confident would be good. He truly wanted the best for the boy, and was entirely willing to do whatever it took for him to be happy.

"Kurama.... How did you find me? I couldn't get a message out by using birds like Yukina did to get someone to save her.... How did you find me?" He questioned, looking innocently up at the other.
His expression showed he truely wanted to know what the other was thinking.

It took him a while to answer, the red-head not being exactly sure himself how he found the other. A bit that contributed were a few clues that Koenma had pointed out, but the rest was just that... well, he just knew. Many things involving Hiei were similar. "Koenma gave me a few leads, and I simply did a lot of guesswork," was his response. It was true, really, but it would sound a bit odd to mention the whole psychic-like thing. The other knew he was no more psychic than an average demon or human.

"Oh, well.... What'll happen when your parents get home? Won't they be curious about me staying here?" He wondered, remembering the other's human parents. "I really don't want for you to get in trouble over my staying here."
He was only being truthful about the matter.

"My family doesn't live here anymore, Hiei. This place didn't suit them," the fox answered. It was, after all, a logical question for him to ask. It wasn't like he had really been around to know....
His mother, who owned the house, had left it to Kurama. She really wanted him to have it, since she did love the house. It had just not been what the family needed, so they ended up moving. He would visit her often, of course. The boy did still need his human mother, in a way.

"You make it sound as if it were a bad thing. I still see my mother, only my being secretive around here is not longer necessary," the boy said, hoping to clear things up. He didn't have to be sorry, since it mostly was a good thing that he was alone, now. His family wouldn't be in quite so much danger.

"Oh, okay then...." The other commented, looking at the other carefully.
He knew how much the other wanted to protect his family, maybe this was for the best. "Maybe we can do something in the kitchen..." Hiei suggested. "Like that one time.... You were trying to show me how to- to- bake- something."

"That sounds like something we could do," the red-head decided, since it could be quite fun. Well, not so much fun, but entertaining since Hiei was sure to make a mess of himself and most of the kitchen. Which wouldn't be too nice to clean, but....
"Well, is there anything in specific that you would like?"
