"You have a lot to learn of prophecies," Caterpillar replied to Adam as the Chess Pieces reached them holding out their swords and spears. "Do not act rashly," He whispered to Adam as a Rook approched them.
"You arn't Cards; who are you?" The Rook asked glaring at them while holding a sword up to Adam... but Caterpillar spoke first.
"We ae Wonderlanders; but not allied with the Queen or her Cards. We seek solace here in Looking-Glass Land... the Queen is a tyrant and we do not wish to be pulled into this war," He spoke in a very serious tone and with authority.
"How do we know your telling the truth?" The Rook obviously wasn't as idiotic as some of the Cards could be.
"Because I am the Oracle, and I do not lie," Caterpillar said calmy; the Chess Pieces spoke amongst themselves quietly, the Rook wasn't sure whether to believe him... Looking-Glass Land had been without an Oracle for over a thousend years.
"And you two?" It asked both Adam and Mally, still holding up the sword to them.

Adam and Amelia Adam lowered his sword and swept off his top hat.
"I am Adam, former hatter and tailor to the Queen and skilled swordsman. I am one of the body guards to the Oracle."
He smiled and straightened back up. He was worried about Amelia. He told her to get through the gate and close it. The kitten can come with Chesh.
Amelia stepped through the gate and collapsed to the ground as the gate closed. The magic was strong and almost impossible to hold as long as she did. She laid on the ground, face first breathing heavily.

The Rook glanced at Adam and sighed lowering the sword. "If what you say is true... then, have you brought the Oracle here for a reason? We heard news of what he prophesized... is he here to help Looking-Glass Land?" It asked looking at Caterpillar.
"I said I do not wish to be pulled into this war... on either side. I shall not be forced to prophesize!" Caterpillar replied with a hint of anger. The Chess Pieces seemed either confused or untrusting.
"But you all must be brought before the Monarchs of Looking-Glass Land; we cannot allow..." He trailed off after Amelia came through the barrier. Strangely enough Caterpillar was the first at her side.
"Amelia, you did well holding the portal open, but you have to rest for a while now," He said, sensing she had used much of her magical abilities to hold open the barrier.

Adam and Amelia Adam stood stiffly torn between helping his twin and watching the Chess pieces. He looked at the Rook.
"The Oracle will not be forced to do anything, neither will the rest of us. We will see your leaders, but we are not citizens of this land and will not be compelled to join in your war."
Amelia rolled over, looking up at the Caterpillar's deep blue eyes. She smiled slightly and closed her eyes. She couldn't think of anything, her head and body ached with exhaustion. Amelia wanted to stand but she couldn't. She wanted to sleep, but everyone was being so loud.
"It's so loud..."
She whispered. Amelia held her hand up to the Caterpillar's face as she opened her eyes again, looking a little bleary, but happy. She sighed and her eyes fluttered close again. Her arm fell to the ground.
Adam frowned deeply and wanted to be at his sister's side, but he couldn't risk leaving them open. She shouldn't have to lay in the dirt.

Caterpillar frowned; the girl couldn't just be left here... if they were going to have to go to one of the castles... someone was going to have to carry her. He looked over to Adam who was occupied with the Chess Pieces and would need to be able to fight if he had to. He sighed and picked Amelia up himself; thinking that this probably wasn't the best way to distance himself from her, and then turned to the Rook. "I will speak to your Monarchs; but I am not bound by your rules."
"We shall escort you to the Red Kingdom; there you will be granted an audience with the Red King and Queen." The Rook explained; still not completely sure if this really was the Oracle... and he definitely wasn't too trusting of the others accompanying him. "That goes for all of you... you will all be questioned."

Adam and Amelia Adam lead the way with sword drawn, but by his side. He felt out Amelia's mind with his own, but she was deeply asleep, completely exhausted.
"Thank you Oracle, for carrying her. I will take her as soon as we are backed up by Chesh."
Adam said quietly and carefully so the Chess pieces wouldn't hear. As much as Adam didn't want the Caterpillar handling his sister in her weakened state, he could tell he was trying to be gentle and for that he was grateful. He looked around at Looking-Glass land. It was definitely different than Wonderland.

"Very well, I wasn't keen on carrying her all the way to this castle anyway," Caterpillar replied as they walked along side quite a few Chess Pieces that were leading the way. He looked around as they walked, the borderlandes of the Chesslands were quite barren except for the checkered ground but soon they would reach the nearby Red Kingdom's Castle. Caterpillar could just about make it out in the distance; but it was dark and hard to tell what it was like. He hoped once they arrived they would be allowed to rest before meeting with the Monarchs... especially Amelia; she was in no state for debate at the moment.
((OOC: Hmmm, I wonder when I'm meant to start playing as Chesh? o.o ))

Adam and Amelia Adam nodded grimly, hoping Amelia was far enough gone not to hear the Caterpillar's potentially hurtful comment. He kept his eyes pealed for anything that might be a trap as they walked. He gave a small chuckle.
"Oh, come now, Oracle, she's not that heavy! And you could be carrying worse than a pretty little thing like my Mia."
Amelia heard nothing. She was deep into her land of dreams. She was walking across a chessboard landscape when she saw her, the Queen of Hearts. She was covered in blood, with it running down her mouth. She smiled at Amelia, her teeth gritty with blood. Amelia felt terror run through her spine.
"I want Adam and I will not stop until I find him. He is mine as well as that stupid worm."
She reached Amelia and was nose to nose to her.
"You will never escape"
Amelia awoke with a gasp. She felt confused and still just as tired as when she fell asleep only a few moments ago. She looked up at the Caterpillar blearily and then dropped back asleep, but less peaceful than before. She clutched the front of the Caterpillar's shirt tightly as she slept.
Adam looked back when he heard her gasp. He asked the Caterpillar angry with worry.
"What's wrong with her?"((I figured she could have some sort of vision since she was in such close proximity with the Caterpillar. Like not a definite vision as much as a vision of intention or feeling of emotion))

The Queen of Hearts The Queen of Hearts sat up in her bed after having the most delicious dream. She was about to kill that little flea, Amelia Hatter. The sister of her favorite toy, Adam. He was always so delightful, so fiery and willing to fight. She had enjoyed destroying his innocence. She called servants. She would send them to find her favorite toy. It had been too long she had let him do what he wished. She pushed her black hair behind her ears and smiled a surprisingly charming smile for an insane royal. The Queen would have her toy and then she'd have the Vorpal Sword. She smiled and laid back to sleep again.

Caterpillar was just staring down at her with concern; she had been dreaming... yes, but... it was something more, he could tell. Her magic abilities had let her feed off his own power; she had not experienced a premonition but something more sutble; definitely some sort of vision none the less. "Being so close to me lets her power feed from mine in a small way it seems; I believe she may have exprienced a vision... rather than a nightmare," He explained to Adam and then quietly whispered to Amelia; "Calm yourself; you are safe." Caterpillar decided that when they reached the castle, he would peer into the unknown and seek some answers himself.
((OOC: Yep, that's fine. ^_^ Oh BTW for those who don't know Kwarren does play the Queen from now on. XD ))

Adam and Amelia Adam's brow furrowed with worry. He kept his eyes on the Chess Pieces that were leading them, who kept looking back at them as though they were being suspicious.
"A Vision? She's never had one of those before."
Amelia didn't hear anything other than the cool words of the caterpillar that she was safe. She sighed and sank deeper into sleep after murmuring softly.
"Thank you..."
He desperately wanted to take Amelia from the Caterpillar's arms, but he knew she was safer there. Hopefully his power won't harm her in any kind of permanent manner. Adam was the stronger fighter so it was only logical to be the guard. He felt her mind and could see the remnants of the nightmare or vision. It had been about the Queen of Hearts. Adam stiffened and whispered to the Oracle.
"She had a vision about the Queen of Hearts"

"The Queen? I know you share a connection with your sister... is it mere remnants of her vision you see? If so... I will have to find answers myself," Caterpillar replied quite concerned now; a vision such as that could mean a number of things... but of course Amelia was no Oracle, Caterpillar himself would have to find out.
The castle of the Red Kingdom was now in sight, it towered above a city of black and red but it was not as nearly as omnious as Wonderland Castle. "Hurry all of you," The Rook said in front of them as they headed for the city gates.
"I may have to talk to Amelia about this, Adam," Caterpillar said quietly, ignoring the orders of the Rook.

Katty let the grass come off of her and looked at the "sleeping" guards. "No fair!" she said indignantly. It was against the rules to give up seeking without saying olive olive out c** free, everybody no that. "You just can't find me is all. I can disappear like nothing!" She said, her tail bristling. It seemed she was speaking the truth, because as she bristled her entire form was fading away and gradually appearing on top of a Chess Piece's head. She blinked a few times, and looked down from her strange moving castle. "Hi e'ry body!"

Adam and Amelia Adam grimaced as the Oracle asked him. He didn't know exactly what she saw. It was impossible for him to see what was Amelia's head unless she was thinking it at that moment. He wanted to know just as much as the Caterpillar did.
"I couldn't see much. If she was awake I'm sure she'd tell us herself, but she's just too tired. All I got from her was the fading of it, it was the Queen coming towards her and saying something about.... you and I."
He was reluctant to speak because he wasn't sure what he saw in Amelia's head. He was worried about her and why she slept so deeply.
