"Yes," Cain said to Minato, standing. "Lets get out of here." He hurried to the door. A long walk didn't sound bad. Especially when compared to having to watch yourself grow up all over again. On tape, which made things twice as awkward.

Frederick looked through the bookshelf of old VHS tapes and pulled out the one he wanted ... plus two others he hadn't seen in a while. "Hehe; they're probably 'escaping' right now," he told his wife, heading to the living room so they could watch the recording in HD.

((True, but I don't like making types; especially with names *sigh*))

Cain flinched, seeing their mother blocking their only route of escape. Oh no ... He sighed in defeat, knowing once Katherine got that look,there was no saying 'No' without serious consequences. "Yes mom." he said with Minato, trugding slowly towards the couch.

Frederick had already put in the first tape, and was setting up the TV. He turned, grinning at seeing the whole family and winking at is wife. "Ah, so nice of Mint and Sugarcane to join us!" he chuckled, sitting down on the wide couch they had, that easily fit all of them, though they also had two side chairs for when there were extra visitors. Fred took a seat on one side of the couch, remote pressing 'play' while Cain sighed and sat down by his father. There was just no avoiding it now.

On the screen, Frederick was saying the date and the boy's ages out loud, chuckling as a much, much younger Cain--four--was rolling around in the grass in wolf form. They were doing a picnic in the woods far from human eyes, and Cain was playfully chasing his tail, ears and paws still too big for his body.

Fred chuckled, sitting back on the couch and knowing a younger Minato was going to come on screen any moment.

Cain couldn't help but chuckle the tiniest bit, seeing the young Minato bawling. Frederick was giving Katherine gooey: 'aw, how cute they were!' looks, while the tape kept playing.

Young Cain, pausing in his tail chasing since Minato was crying, hopped over to the other and licked his face, letting the other stand up while leaning on his more sturdy four-footed body. Though, somehow, the little vampire ended up riding the slightly-older werewolf pup and .. well. The rest, was history. As Katherine had said, young Minato had quite taken to riding his brother around, and Cain hadn't minded at all.

After a bit of Minato riding Cain around--the current Cain groaning and hiding his eyes, thinking this embarrassing--the type switched to a different recording. They were all in a human park now, Cain--in human form--running around chasing pigeons. Frederick was manning the camera, and turned from Cain to zoom in a bit on Katherine and Minato.

Cain sounded like he chocked, cutting it off and looking at Minato with a glance before looking back towards the tv screen. How ... wonderfully awkward ... Especially considering Minato's confession earlier that same day.

Young Cain could just barely be seen in the background, still chasing after birds, while father could be heard laughing on tape. Frederic, currently, looked at his youngest son and smiled. "Of course you did Mint; it's on Tape."

Cain was blushing horribly--even though this wasn't his little self being supremely embarrassing--and sinking down in his seat. Oh God ... what a very determined little Minato ... adorable, but embarrassing all the same.

Frederic was laughing, shaking his head. "Oh, yes ... I think we finally got you to stop when you made Sugarcane a 'special pie' ... poor pup didn't even care it was made of mud; he gobbled it up and was sick something fierce for a day afterward."

Cain looked back at Minato, blushing. "Uh ... I guess ... I did." He sort of remembered it. Not really, but a little. Minato looking so proud of his dried-dirt masterpiece, and not wanting to make the other cry ... Luckily, he didn't really remember the being sick part.

Frederick smiled at the two of them. "Don't look so surprised. Sugarcane's always been looking after Mint!" He smiled, looking at the screen then laughing. "Aw; dinner night."

They'd gone out to eat, and Fred had taken the camera out a moment, to record a little sweet moment. Cain and Minato--still four and three--were eating spaghetti. Both of them were covered in their food--or at least sauce was all over their faces--and Katherine was reaching over to use a fork to cut up the long strands of noodles into smaller bits--but Minato wanted one long noodle for himself. And in a moment it was clear why. The little vampire gave Cain one end of the strand and started eating from the other. Cain--having just seen The Lady and The Tramp with Minato--giggled and played along.

Cain, on the couch, couldn't possibly sink any lower and was a rosy red color.

Shoot me. Shoot me now. Cain couldn't bear the torture. He was blushing so hard he thought his face was burning off. The shot of them sleeping together (mind out of the gutter!) was really more adorable than embarrassing. Though ... Mom mentioning their need to find mates and Minato's recent confession-- "Mom!" Cain groaned, standing and moving to leave the room. He didn't like being rushed. Plus, Cain would rather not think about being grown up ... he at least wanted a year or four of college to try to get a degree. And, well, getting a mate meant growing up and having kids.

Frederick chucked. "Oh, Sugarcane. You'll get a mate sooner or later. You are one of the most eligible bachelors in the clan right now. One day a nice female is going to be in heat and ..." He motioned around the house. "You'll have a nice family and house just like your mother and I do."

Cain just sighed, and continued moving ... hoping to 'escape.'

Cain was glad he actually did managed to escape, neither parent stopping him from heading upstairs. Though ... he did pause half-way up, Minato would have to find a mate too. It ... depressed him. But he likes me, he thought, hurrying the rest of the way to his room. Pushing away the angry feeling he usually got when he saw other gals and girls eyeing Minato at school, the wereteen pulled up his backpack, aiming to do some homework to calm himself down.

Frederick smiled, putting an arm around Minato and patting his son on the back. "Whoever you chose, we'll be happy for you Minty. Though ..." the father's face got serious, "you'd better give us loads of adorable grandchildren we can tape!"
