Sungold shrugged. "Maybe you do, maybe you don't, but a wounded wolf is of no use to his den. A physical punishment would just harm the pack as a whole. Besides, you... weren't yourself... when you attacked me."

Shadow dropped his head again. A strong feeling of shame over took him. "Wasn't myself.." He spoke almost to no body. He looked back up at her. "I understand the terms of my punishment. I will not leave the den for a week like comanded... But, I wish to... somehow... make up for what I did..."

Sungold gazed hard at Shadow for a moment then smiled. "Then get stronger and protect your pack." she answered. "And get me two rabbits as soon as your able." she said as an after though, which completely ruined the mood.

'Two rabits?' Shadow thought. 'Where did that come from?' My pack... Protect it... of course Shadow looked up at her. He could feel his new wounds starting to hurt now that the adrenaline was gone. "I will Alpha.. I always will." He slowly lowered himself to the ground trying to rid himself of the pain, but he was unsuccesful. His Alpha was strong and the wound was still bleeding.

Sungold gave a nod of acknowledgement. She saw the promise burning in his eyes. Then she frowned in concern as Shadow knelt on the ground.
'I hope I didn't injure him too much...' she thought worriedly.
"Lets get you inside the den and your wounds cleaned." she said and nudged his uninjured shoulder with her nose. Her own wounds weren't nearly as bad, though blood from her shoulder was staining her golden fur.

Shadow forced himself back up, resting his wait on his strong leg. "You are too kind to me Alpha." He said weakly as he slowly followed Sungold into the den. Once he was barely inside of the den he collapsed to the floor, hitting the ground hard, but it was nothing next to his wounds. His Alpha expressed a level of care that he wasn't used to. It made him feel better knowing she cared for him.

Shade was lucky to find an abandon den near by Sungold's clan. "It's a good thing that its hidden" Shade thought in sincerness.

Sungold turned back to Shadow as she heard his body hit the ground.
"That's not a very convenient spot to rest." she said with a small smile.
Then she gently grabbed the scruff of his neck with her jaws and pulled him back over to the back of the den, where she had taken him the first time she found him.
"Can you clean your wounds yourself or do you need help?" she asked and sat down beside him.

Shadow was breathing heavy at this point. He was now feeling the pain from his wounds completely. During the fight many of the old wounds opened and tore a bit. "You've... Already... Helped... so much... I couldn't... except ...any.. more help..." He grunted slightly as a pain sent through his body. He lowered his head to the ground not even cleaning his wounds and still breathing heavy.

"I see..." Sungold said as she watched Shadow with an appraising eye. "In that case hold still."
She began cleaning his shoulder wound and removing the blood from his fur.

Shadow grunted a bit as she cleaned his wounds. They would periodically hurt as she did it but it was for the best. Still breathing heavy he looked at her. "So... How many... Wolves... do... you comand? Is... Darkclaw... a member? and are... there ranks... I should know... about... as to... whom... to show proper... repsect to?" He paused for a moment. "Of course... All member.. deserve respect."

Shade making a scent maker around her new home, went out in search of prey and medical herbs. "These should do." She said as she was done with her hunting and searching.

This land was strange. Too strange. Then again, so was every terra this wolf set foot on. She had not a home to call her own, and so was left to herself for the many days of her life. Her pack was a small pack - which for no reason at all split appart. She separated from her mother, and cared none. She was ment to be alone.
Or was she...
It was getting dark now. The sun was nearly setting, and soon the silver glow would appear. The frail frame of the wolve seamed to shift silently along, as her midnight blue eyes pierced the darkness that lay ahead. She smelt other wolves nearby, and so she kept herself alert. Despite her looks of rough days and poor treatment, she could hold her own fairl well.
She scented blood on the air, and was curious to know...
Her pawsteps took her in that direction.
Silently. Hidden. Alone.

Sungold didn't stop cleaning Shadow's wounds as she answered.
"There are enough here for me worry about, but it's a rather small pack. You'll have to ask Darkclaw if he's a member or not... I'm not too sure, but I know that he's trustworthy. And you'll find out the pack ranks soon enough. You shouldn't worry about that right now though... Just focus on healing." she said in between licks.
She finished his shoulder and moved on to his back, then to his older wounds.
