Mizumaru hesitated a bit before speaking. "Whoever this one mage is, they beat Kazehito-san." He watched Yamaji, waiting for a response.

Rin just stood there rocking back and forth nervously on her heels.

"That's good." Yamaji sighed. "I guess we can go back to the way things used to be." He ran up with Mizumaru and looked back at Ren. "You coming Yamamoto Ne-san?"

"Yo, Mizumaru. What if Ne-san trained herself to be like a ninja or something? Then she could still be a big help in battles, and not have to go through all that ritualistic crap to become a mage." His eyes had a hopeful gleam in them.

Mizumaru stared at Yamaji as if to agree with him. "It's really up to her. Don't get me wrong, that would be something. She might even be able to work some of us over in a martial arts tournement." He turned back and looked at Ren. "What do you think Yamamoto-san?"

Zero was walking past a trap, blissfully unaware of they events unfolding ahead of him, when...

"YAH!" he cried as a swiftly moving body wreathed in a magical shield-- a rather distinctive magical shield-- suddenly flew past him.

Sorce, not noticing Zero in his haste, quickly headed to where he'd left Ren and Daisuke, and was surprised to find she was still there, along with two other guys. "Wha--? Ren? You're still here? But how? I left you and Daisuke here last night! Why are you still..."

Sorce paused thoughtfully, then snapped his fingers in realization. "Of COURSE! The Library Magical Special Quantum Relativity Effect!"

Seeing the blank looks, the analyst quickly tried to explain. "You see, libraries, even mundane ones, are highly charged with magical energy. It's what happens when you put so many books full of words together. Books are full of knowledge, right? Knowledge is power. To wit: Knowledge=power=energy=mass=space=time! Or better yet:"



"Because of this effect, time is highly messed up inside libraries. Even though when I left you I had enough time to get a good night's sleep after I left the library, from your perspective time hardly moved at all..."

He kept on blabbing, not knowing if anyone was listening...

Mizumaru said nothing. He only stared at Sorce with a surprised expression. It was a short while before he finally spoke. "Impressive, you have quite a mind. Are you something of a strategist as well?" He seemed to take an interest in what Sorce had said. "Oh, where are my manners? I'm 5-B student number 3, Mizumaru Umi. Who are you?"
