Why I joined: As I'm sure is the case with many of our members, the military has been a large part of my life ever since I can remember. I have always had knack for leadership and cooperation along with decent physical ability. I have never really wanted to do anything but join the Army, even when I have had scholarships offered to me by esteemed technology schools. I am looking into Warrant Officer training opportunities and plan to make that into a career. JROTC has become my life in high school. I dropped soccer and everything else so that I could devote all of my time to my Bn.

Why I joined: my friends were joining but they ended up quiting. i stayed in and was promoted the fastest any cadet has been ever promoted(well in my core) but now i just love it mrgreen .i teach the red stars which is a constant pain in the rear, and am the commander of the drill team this year.

Why I joined: Well my brother was in it his first three years in highschool. He used to be the spawn of satin. After his first year there was a complete turn around. He was nicer, had a longer attention span, and his self esteem was like it never was before. I've always been more of the shy, lets lay low type of girl. I figured, 'hey, if this can do this for MY brother, lets see what it can do for me. Like i imagined it would JROTC has brought up my self-esteem and i've made a lot of new friends because of it. JROTC has got to be one of the best choices i have EVER made. and like my instructor says "JROTC is not a class, is is a way of life" i couldnt say it better myself
(plus the PE credit thing isnt too shabby either >.<)

Why I joined: I've been wanting to join JROTC since elementary school, and to join the military longer, when i got in, my 1st yr rocked and i had the most outstanding time! in time they made me 1st Platoon ldr and Exhibition Drill Team cmdr and even put me up for the Superior Cadet award. mrgreen

Why I joined: Mainly because it was the only class that would fit into that little, unused 45-minute space on my schedule, but now I'm addicted. I stay because I'm the only uprising sophomore in a staff position, and I was awarded "Outstanding NS1" and the "Drill Excellence" medals, trophy, and my name on a plaque in the ROTC room. Other cadets tell me that I could rise and be the company's CO in a couple of years, but I'm very unfortunately transferring schools after this school year.

Why I joined: I wanted to do something different and i wanted to not do gym and its fun and im on drill team. The excitment is great and i love the program. It gets you ready for life and everyone is just great. I was in 8th grade when i heard about it they came into my history class and talked about it. I wanted to take it so i did.

Why I joined: At first it was to get the PE credit for school, then when I got into the class I liked what I got into. I didn't really do any teams or fundraisers my Freshman Year, but as a Sophomore I joined Orienteering and Color Guard, and I love it. I'm hoping to become the commander for Color Guard. (i know i won't for orienteering cause i get lost 75% of the time, and I'm not too fast, but hey I'm "the girl" so they don't care) and I think that's it.
