-There is an unearthly silence. Your hand moves around in the darkness and you suddenly cry out as your knee hits a table. Fingers clumsily explore the tabletop and you find a little, oddly-shaped candle. It suddenly explodes into light, exposing the dark room for a mere second before flickering to a steady, firey pulse-

' ... H-hello?'

-Your breath quickens as a sharp wind cuts at your skin, leaving bleeding line marks on your arm. There is silence again and it is only broken by the calm, seductive voice in the dark-

"So, you have come ..."

-The candlelight flickers and the ghost of a face appears before you. Eyes like pinwheels on fire, burning with a passion, a need. Blood-stained lips move softly, drawing you even further into the dream-

'Where ... where am I?'

-A laugh, but not spiteful. It echos joyously in the dark and you shiver involuntarily as it continues. A pale hand, white as the moon comes to rest over the candle. The small fire feigns away but fingers curl around the flame and soon, all light has been erradicated-

"You stand in the room of dreamers and the dreamers of dreamers. Where goblins and unicorns and faeries dance in the shadows. Humans and elves fight with honor and greed, compelling all those around to join in their dance of survival. Where even the tiniest hint of reality is scorned and burnt away from even the abyss of your mind. You, my friend, stand in the room of imaginary reality."

-The voice stops slowly, and another wind blows through your hair and down your neck, leaving you alone in the room again with nothing but a foggy candle to keep you company-

"Choose your direction, traveler ..."

-Silky words come to your mind, unspoken but there all the same. You jump and your knee again collides with the table. Upon it appears a piece of paper titled 'My Dreams'. Beside it, a cold black feather-quill lays twitching as if eager and waiting for your hand to grasp it-

"Choose wisely ..."

-The sharpest of breezes cuts past you and jets out across the candle. A cinder of a flame sparks; dim but strong. It flitters in the air like a wounded dove. You hold your breath and reach for the quill.-

"You want to leave? Do so ... "

-The same voice haunts you, terrorizing you in the darkness. You fear it and yet are excited by it. The seduction of the eyes are still burning in your memory, fresh.-

"If you dare."

-Your hands become steady, firmly holding onto the quill pen. Ideas flood through your mind and you can hardly tell where to begin. Adventure and action, riddled with mystery and romance. Hopes and aspirations tug at your fingers, begging to be put to paper, to words.-

"Leave your mark."

-You open your mouth in question, unsure of how to start. But before you can question your worth, the voice beings humming softly into your ear. It is calming to hear, the music shivers down your spine. The room is brightened and your eyes drift to the growing flame on the once-extinguished candle. It's burning brightly, so bright that it pushes the darkness into the corners and keeps them there. You sigh in satisfaction, glad to at last see the cozy room.-

"BEGIN!"
