Dynasty Warriors is a series of games based off of the Chinese novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms
These games also spawned a parody comic series
You can go to San Three Kingdom Comics to read it.
There is also an anime and a live action. These are of the same name as the novel.
As well as those, there are Ikkitousen Dragon Destiny and Koutetsu Sangokushi, which are loosely based off of the novel.
And I have found another live action, Ballad Of Suh Dong
All in all, there are many fans of RoTK that have adapted the story to suit other ways.
SAMURAI WARRIORS
Samurai Warriors is a series of games based off of the time before the Tokugawa Era.
There are many animes based off of this: Sanada Juyushi, Samurai Deeper Kyo, and others which I have not been able to find.
Along with anime, there are also many movies: Shinobi no Mono 1, Shinobi no Mono 2, Shinobi no Mono - A Band of Assassins, and New Shadow Warriors
Here is the only live action show I have found: Three Generations of the Yagyu Sword
