In the world of R'maneth, there are only eight vampires left, four women and four men.

In order for the last of their race to survive, they must follow an ancient prophecy handed down for generations that no one had ever expected to come true.

It said that one day, the vampire race would eventually begin to die, unless the Last Eight vampires, the Guardians, find their Destined Ones and continue on the vampire race.

The Destined Ones are eight Elemental beings, also with four men and four women. They carry the power to continue on the Guardian, or vampire, line.

Each Guardian has a Destined One of the opposite gender. The purpose is for Destined Ones to meet their Guardians, have a little romance, and when they are self admittedly in love, the Destined One is turned into a vampire, and they are able to continue on the line.

Easy enough, right? Wrong. Since the beginning of time, vampires and werewolves have been mortal enemies, fighting and killing each other unceasingly. Now, the last Clan of Werewolves, the Umbra are determined to wipe the vampires out before they can reach their Destined Ones.

The Umbra will either kill the Guardian or the Destined One, because if a Guardian dies, their Destined Ones will lose their powers. Luckily, a fact unbeknown st to the Werewolves, if a Destined One dies, another one is reborn to take their place.

Even so, both Guardians and Destined Ones must avoid Werewolves and Vampire Hunters. Their one lives are at stake and the Vampire race.

The problem is, the plot doesn't stop there. The more the war progresses, the more the earth is harmed. This causes the earth's closest friends, the elves, to get involved. The elves dislike violence, but their earth is dying, so they must take action. They know that once the Guardians and Destined Ones are together, balance will return, so they strive to peacefully help along their only hope.
