Each one of these creatures has a story:


Angels worship the ancient god of light, and are known as some of the purest souls to ever exist. They guide humans and ease them into safety, always watching. Their wings mark them from their enemy, and are normally brilliant white. However, older angel's wings may turn gold signifying their strength and roll in society. These gold-winged angels are the elite of their world. The females are the only ones allowed to grow their hair out, and the gentlemen wear golden armor, having to fight for territory with the dark angels who are their enemies.

Vampires are some of the most powerful beings in existence. Able to use their minds against others and manipulate the energy which surrounds them, not only are they rare but almost treated as gods. They are an aristocratic society which often seals itself off the world, inviting humans in only for the purpose of delivering the kiss of death. You must be born into the vampire world to be accepted. There are of course accidents that occur when feeding, and if a human is turned into an immortal they are disregarded and branded as "rouge". Rightfully so, as they are also thieves of human blood along with their noble counterparts.

Vampires share their body with another soul. Those humans who are turned exchange their soul for that of demon, and those who are born as an aristocrat begin the transformation at conception. The demon soul within every vampire drives their bloodlust as well as heightens their senses. When the demon is unleashed within a vampire it allows them to unlock their magical capabilities completely. There are, however, risks to such an action. When his or her demon state the vampire cannot control their bloodlust, and should they catch even the smallest trace of human blood in the air they will search until they have been satisfied. The demon spirit is also very strong in most and difficult to control. It takes centuries before the vampire can fully master their demon spirits, and should an inexperienced vampire release it they may be lost within their demon forever.

Vampires have but one enemy -- Lycans. The wolves are the only creatures in existence able to stand up to a vampire and honestly have a chance at destroying them.

Demons are not unlike vampires. They have magical abilities that far outshine the vampire and speed and strength which either match, or trump the vampire as well. Demons are often known for being partiers and out to enjoy their immortality. They aren't helpful like the Angels or up-tight like the Vampires.

Demons, despite their fun-loving attitude, do not get along well with Dark Angels.

Dark Angels have either been banished, were a tortured soul while living, or have done something to offend the gold-winged Angels, and worship the ancient god of darkness. They are able to use black magic to a certain extent. Only the oldest of the dark angels are able to manipulate black magic completely. Age in this society is also a major contributor to the class system. The oldest of the dark angels are normally decorated in lavish armor and their wings are white tipped. They are normally the ones planning attacks on their enemies, the angels.

Lycans have extraordinary shape-shifting abilities, able to take the form of any mammal. Their preferred form is of course that of the wolf. They are normally nocturnal as it favors their hunting habits. Lycans normally like to live in pairs, one male and one female -- they can't suppress the human side of them completely. They have but one goal in life and that is to destroy a vampire. Their rivalry goes back thousands of years, beginning with two rival families and things have just gotten out of hand.

Lycans are loyal to one another and to their partners, but if a betrayal occurs blood is the payment.
