Name: Naia Knight

Michael is the newest addition to the family (read: accident), and he's found his way into the fold with breaking glass and grownup shouts of pain (or disgust). It's obvious that Michael doesn't like anyone except maybe Patch and Cthulhu (and that's because the former gives him candy and the latter has promised to teach him to be a loyal minion). He's bitten his sister's tail, tried to eat her fish (and Rosiel), and tried on more than one occasion to rip out his father's fur. And his mother... well... he only just puts up with her, and that's because she's scary. We think that Michael can talk, but that he just refuses to in order to piss us off. In any case, we've yet to hear him utter a word.
Cthulhu began as a simple familiar of Naia's, an object purchased at a curious hole-in-the-wall shop. His sarcastic attitude towards "flesh-bags" made him fit in quickly with the family. However, as he grew, Cthulhu discovered some strange powers and memories... and... found that he was not a Fandangle, a creation of Moorgahaine, but Cthulhu, the Elder God, captured in Moorgahaine's Fandangle. A strange turn of events that did little to lighten his mood. This fact, was compounded by the discovery that Naia had impersonated Cthulhu in a past life and he had SMOTE HER a**. Talk about karma and paying for your sins.... So, are you confused yet?
Rosiel has to be the most loving and accepting member of the family. Probably because his low level of intelligence allows him to do little else. As a Gembird, Rosiel has the insanity trait running through his veins thanks to careful breeding. He thinks that every day is Christmas, which might be nice with that humanity and peace on earth jazz, but he thinks he is a Christmas tree. What makes things better (or worse) is that he's managed to swallow a jingle bell which is perhaps too large to pass so we hear him coming long before we see him. Of course Rosiel has developed a fondness for Cthulhu. And in moments when no one is looking, Cthulhu will grudgingly pat him on the head.
Squishy disappeared not long after the news that Michael was to be born hit the fan. Things had been going downhill with Squishy before that, though. She'd been feeling alienated and jealous because of Cthulhu's closeness to Naia and had taken to skulking around very suspiciously at night. She showed up under mysterious circumstances, this doglike creature that looks remarkably like Naia. The mermaid though nothing of it, though Brina and Cthulhu certainly did. But answers were never gotten and the creature disappeared as surprisingly as she appeared, and while it worried the mermaid, after months without a sign, she's all but forgotten about the pet.
