Dino's Art Request Thread.

I've been notorious amongst my friends for collecting large amounts of art. But up until now, I've been fairly disorganised about it. As any of my friends will tell you, I loathe disorganisation. So, to make things cleaner, I'm making a thread to keep track of my favourite pieces, my requests, the auctions I'm bidding in, etc.

What I'm willing to pay.

I've paid large sums of money, and I've paid nothing at all. My favourite arts are those that come in for free, purely because the person felt inspired to do the piece for me. Those are so touching to recieve. It's like that person is giving me a gift to tell me that s/he cares, and that I'm appreciated.

I tip whenever I can. Ask H.D or Tigereye_87 or Noaj. They know.

I prefer not to get involved in auctions. They end up costing me more than I can afford to spend.

Details of what I like done.

I generally don't change my outfits at all. There are a couple of items that will NEVER come off for any reason.

- Bunny Luv
- Heart Boxers
- Winged anklets
- Horns of the demon
- Angleic pendant

For the most part, I'll be having on a fair bit of red. Why? It's my favourite colour of all time, and I love looking at it. I'm not a very serious guy, and I like most of my art to reflect that. I love anything where I'm drawn sexy, but it should always be fun. I don't like where things look all vampy and as if the paiting is trying to eat you or something. I generally love any art that shows my avatar as sexy, but still looking like he's having fun. Of course, if you have questions, feel free to ask.

Also, if you'd like the code for any of the avatars that you see here (such as, if you want to have art comissioned with me in it >_>, just quote the post, and pick your favourite one. When I have more time, I may just keep the list of avatars down to my three favourites, and just put the code underneath it, but I'm not quite ready for that yet. I'm still setting up, y'know.

Other details.
I generally like to be drawn in a sexy pose, with the demon horns on. I prefer whatever avatar I have done drawn with demon wings as well. Reference picture here. More references availalbe upon request. Also, I like to have a halo hanging off one of the horns.

My favourite avatars.

Memorable Events

My Full Gallery can be found there. There are well over 600 1,000 pictures, and it's constantly growing. (Updated 13 April 2009).

It all started back last year, when I joined the ED Oldbies Guild. Noraboo showed us all this really adorable drawing that someone had made for her that cost about 1500 gold. At that time, it was a lot of gold for me, but I really did want to get one. So, I PMed Megarose (the artist, that is) and asked if I could have one too. I showed her the things I like, and she made it for me, complete with extras! It was adorable, and I was officially hooked from that point on. Every now and again, Nora would peek in and show us more of the art that she'd gotten. When I could afford it, I would sneak over to those artists' shops, and buy some more.

The funny thing is, I had almost the same avatar way back then that I do now. This was well after I'd bought things. I've had those same desires of an avatar from day one, no matter what other cool items have come along. It was always the adorable bunny luv, the heart boxers, demon horns, demon wings, and the halo hanging off of one of the horns. I just love seeing my avatar like that. Then, by the time I discovered the clown nose, I was more or less set. xd However, in case y'all haven't noticed, the bulk of really cool items are donation items. So in order to acquire a couple of the items I really wanted which were released before my join date back in July 2004, I had to work fairly quickly, before they inflated out of control.

Me on April 6, 2005

After all this time on Gaia, after all the artwhoring with them on, after all that saving, and buying letters, I finally have my demon horns. The one donation letter that I could never have bought (with cash), because I didn't know about Gaia until a month after its release.

...

Yeah. My avatar is now at the exact way I've wanted it from day one. This is a really big deal for me. Thank you to Lillith-Angel, who told me which letter it should be in. Thank you to the wonderful vend person who sold me the June '04 letter.

I'm done.

P.S. Lilleh's name has a hyphen, not an underscore, because she's a confusing hor who doesn't know how to use her spacebar, but we love her anyway.

It's been a really fun ride so far. ^_^

Free Art!

Anyone who gives me free art of any sort gets a permanent home in here, along with a link to their own Gallery/store. I really do love free art.

Here is the GIANT art flood I got from Alexandrea Zenne on Saturday, May 21, 2005 at roughly 4:00 PM. That was totally unexpected and I squeaked out loud. This is Alexandrea Zenne's Deviant Art gallery. She is very talented, and I'm honoured to have gotten such a beautiful gift.
