Welcome to the [HDC] - horse of a different color!
We are a shop of great people, and grand pets!
Our story can be read below along with all the other information you might want concerning the [HDC]!
Role play is not required here, however I too like many of the other breeders on gaia tire or 'animal collectors'. These pets were made to be enjoyed! Lots of time have been put into them as well.
Therefore I just ask, before you go any further, that you'll come and visit us, and that you'll take pride in your pet!

As you can see, the foal here has no definate gender markings, each foal will be pre determined in gender and the gender will be known to the owner, but its physical looks will not be different from one another.

Off the island of Dendale'Rin, lies the sanctuary of Tor'telue Isle of the Chance God.
Tor'telue's lands are now a lush series of grand fields, pastures, valleys, and hills. A far derivement from what they once were.
Long ago the Isle of Tor'telue was home tot he ancients Telue.
The Telue people were divided by three tribes, the Hekka, the Dalyss, and the Grawlum. These three tribes were divided up equally in the lands by the gods and given their own section of the huge Island.
Years passed and the three tribe became broken, hating each other and cravings for each others lands. Greed took them quickly as soon fights turned to battles, and battles turned to all out wars.
All of the commodities of the land were turned for their holders, the animals becoming high priced trades and fodder, as well as a possible assessment to their battles. Even the Grayvinn horses were taken and quickly turned into war horses.
While the horses were once only used as plow horses, and respected steeds, they were chosen for their stout form and their airline grace in battle. The horses were grand in usefulness on the island. Ways of transportation, the second highest sacrifices to the gods second only by the sacrifice of an ancient, fur for warmth, steel like bones for powerful weapons, and countless other uses. No other animal on the Isle could outrun, out charge, or out preform to compete with these grand beauties.
Soon the line of the Grayvinn turned to nothing but war.
These wars continued for years, the land became barren, the waters became soiled, and gods became angered. The gods began to work up a plan to punish those responsible for the destruction of the ancients gift. Soon the God of Chance was chosen to deal with the betrayers. Ohm, the god of chance took the ancients by surprise. He made sure that they all understood the seriousness of the actions they took against the gods and layed down his proposition.
Now Ohm, being the god of chance, has a bit of mischief in all his doings, he knew that the ancients could not resist a risk if they had a chance at glory in the process. This alone gave Ohm more then enough to work with.
Laying out his plan he announced three choices to all three tribes, separately.
1. Continue war. and for every left that are taken, 3 steeds, the commodity that the ancients held so dear, would be uselessly slain. The winner of the lands would receive praise from all the gods for showing spectacular skill in battle even if it cost the lives of thousands of grayvinn.
2. Stop the wars, and live in peace, the peace in itself would be an awesome prize.
3. Choose a rune and whoever tribe rune was called, they would be slain and the others would have a fair battle to fight between
two, not three.
The ancients pondered over the first choice, nothing in all the world could have forced them to turn over as many steeds as would have been needed to win a huge war as it was, they turned the choice down.
The second choice almost made the ancients laugh, no one could really imagine peace, let alone self influenced peace. A 'stop all' battle would not work.The third choice however made them curious. If they pulled their own rune, they would be doomed to death, but if they managed to
pull the rune of their opposing tribe, they would have an equal battle to fight, and losses would be greatly reduced!
All three tribes, the Hekka, the Dalyss, and the Grawlum. Chose the third option, they would all draw a rune, in hopes that the battles would be even. Non however knew that each of the other tribes had the same options. This is what Ohm took pride in.
Each tribe setting fourth their chiefs took stance on their own mountain sides. Raising their arms to the gods they prayed to have grand luck, a prayer in nothing but greed.
Ohm bestow three like images of himself and came to the chiefs, before the chiefs lay three runes, all marked with the tribes emblems. He flipped them all over, and began to sift them about at a frightening speed, The stones became a blue in the eyes of the chiefs, Ohm stopped and held up the runes marked side down, and held them up to the chiefs, each of the three chiefs picked up a rune.
They all three held their breath silently as they stood miles apart, they sensed that something grand was about to happen. Slowly the chiefs turned their runes over. Each chief, had drawn their OWN rune. Doom, to all tribes of the ancients. .
The ancients took the chance and ended up being filled with greed and paid for it in the end. The animals of the land became free and replenished was the land of Tor'telue after many years. The animals and the lands are something to be respected. The great god of chance watches over the lands to this day, and his favorite of the beasts, the Graylinn, the horse of a different color.

F.A.Q.


Q: Can I roleplay with my steed?
A: Yes! Its not required in any way, but RP is most definatly welcome!

Q: How do I get one?
A: In order to get a [HDC] you must acquire one from a flat sale, raffle, auction, or game Seras holds!

Q: How long does it take to grow up?
A: Growing into a full steed can take up to two weeks!

Q: How much do they cost?
A: Flat sale steeds costs 2000g each. (That is, when they are available.)

Q: Do you do pet trades?
A: Yes, on certian occasions.

Q: Am I allowed to direct link my [HDC]?
A: Yes!!! If you don't the babies will never fully grow! BUTAfter they are grown up, please save your steed your own server.

Q: What do they eat?A: They are herbavoirs. That means they can eat plants!

Q: How does my steed find a mate and have babies?
A: Its prefered that you role play it out atleast a little but, but isnt neccasary. Your horse just needs to find a compadible mate and let nature take its coarse! *blush* If you have trouble finding a mate for your [HDC] just send SerasVictoria a PM and she can put a message up in the shop! Think of it as a personal for your horse!

Q: Can I own more than one [HDC]?
A: Of coarse! They will become bonded with other steed as brothers and sisters often do! Unless of coarse they are in love! The more the friends a steed has, the better its social life can be! Of coarse there are also a few who prefer to be alone, and receive all the attention they can get from their owner!

Q: Why do they have to be mated to breed?
A: With this one I'm laying down my own morals.
I belive that a couple should have foudn their true love before concecrating themselves with a child, and I think the steeds should be the same way!

Q: Are the [HDC] large enough to ride?
A: Yep! You or any of yours can do so since the steeds are slightly larger then a real horse!

Q: Can I buy an [HDC] for a friend, or for one of my pets?
A: Yes. If youd like to give a gift to a friend then your most welcome to as well as giving a gift to one of your pets that would like such a gift.

Finally a little something for the steeds!

First off we have the bangles, these are a female only accesory, that would look nice on any filly of any age!
Each bangle is put on by the blacksmith and is gaurenteed to stay put unless otherwise desired.
They come in the following metals:
Shadow Iron Hoops, for 50 gold.
Golden Bangles, for 55 gold.
Valorite Bands for 50 gold.
Ivy Iron Rings for 55 gold.
Rose Agapite Bands for 55 gold.

Other colors may be avaiable for purchase for 65 gold, the price increases due to the process the metal needs to go through to get to your desired color.

Our second item we currently have avaiable are the Bridles.

These peices are both male and female and come with both silver and gold hoops and fasteners.

The leather comes in the following colors:
Blue, at 65 gold.
Green, at 65 gold.
Black, at 60 gold.
Brown, at 55 gold.
Red, at 65 gold.

Once again, these peices can be altered at a little higher cost of 75g Due to the process the leather endures while dying.

Breeding is a cherished thing here at the HDC.
No breeding will take place unless horses have mates.
Once a mate is chosen by a horse, it may never breed with another horse other then its mate unless deemed an unhelpable circumstance by Seras herself or [HDC] (ie: loss of owner to your steeds mate, ect.)

To mate your horses to one another, all I need is a pm from both owners stating that they wish for their horses to be mates. (or single owner if pairs are being made by an owner with both steeds.)

Once your steeds are mates, and the breeding is accepted, a stall will be given to the couple for their mating session, the stall will be big enough to bare up to three foals. In the case that three foals are born, one must be given to the shop for a special sale. A tripple birth will be extraordinarily rare and won't happen very often, hence the reason for the 'special' sale.

The owners may do as they wish with the other births, be it one or two.

There are currently NO Breeding Stables available. They are still being worked on at the moment, and in due time, they will be built to Seras's expectations. Untill then, the foals and steeds out and given can only choose mates.

When the stables have been built, and the steeds have chosen mates, each stable will cost 2k. (1k from each parent.) This will allow for the blankets, feed, water, and supplies used for the birth and time untill the birth and the care for the foals directly after birth.
