~Home~
Within the forgotton forest of Winter's End, there is a small body of water. The surface seems to spin a bit at first glance, but upon closer inspection, it's only the effect of reflection merging with the cylindrical walls of one of the main entrances of Venlenna. No one knows why there is an entrance here, and they have yet to explain the purpose of the shallow stream that flows through the forgotten forest and merges with the Bay of Venlenna either. It doesn't really bother me too much, as the overall effect is breathtaking.
Beneath this "swirling" water, is a protected underwater cavern, with the soul purpose of keeping the Spirits of the Water safe from predators. The walls are covered in multiple colors of coral and sea sponges, some of which make a very tasty snack! This cavern, which the Water Spirits have come to call 'Home', is huge, able to provide shelter for all existing Spirits and perhaps several thousand more eek Air pockets are sprinkled throughout this place, along with several pipe line like tunnels that lead to the outside. It is said that predators cannot see these entrance/exit tunnels... Or perhaps they just don't like venturing so far from their territory...
Outside of 'Home', there is a large flat expanse of underwater terrain. It is partially covered by the above ground land, which forms a bit of a pocket. Because of this, it is mostly protected from roughly moving currents, making is a favorite breeding ground for schools of fish and large amounts of crustaceans. These creatures are harvested everyday, and sold inside the marketplace of 'Home'.

These are the types of Water Spirits or Water Guardians that have been discovered so far. Some are more common than others, and not all are attainable except by the hands of a chosen few!
The first Water Spirit discovered by Ectava. These are creatures that closely resemble a cross between seals and sea lions, and only venture forth from the water's of Venlenna during the early months of spring. They never stay around long, and they flee at the slightest hint of movement.
The three stages of growth for a glimmer are shown above. They begin as shimmering pearls, about the size of a baseball. The pearl gradually increases in size, and eventually, out pops a baby Glimmer. They require the constant care of a guardian for the first stages of life, and if a Glimmer is lucky enough to have a mother, she will not let the baby out of her site for a week or more.
After two weeks or so, the child Glimmer becomes and adult. At this point they become curious and eager to play and explore their world! Male adults have more elaborate ear and wing fins, most likely to aid them in finding a mate.
It is rumoured by some of the people who venture into the forgotten forest from beyond the stream, that the Glimmer's have a fourth form. These beautiful creatures which were named "Shimmers" by some of the natives, are humanoid in appearance. I'm not certain however... I've never seen one gonk

A normal glimmer pearl is a color with a pattern that swirls on the outside of the shell, almost looking like two pieces of overlayed glass. A rare glimmer is easy to spot in comparison, as it has a core of color that is excessively shiny. That color seems to correlate with whatever color the rare glimmers skin will be when it emerges form it's pearl.
See how the rare glimmer of the same color has the silver core with the wee sparklies? This is the pearl that goes along with Quinny-chan's Silver Glimmer, who's name is Shael ^-^

Apart from rare glimmer colors, are rare glimmer types. These still resemble seals/sea lions, but there are variations in the body types.
~Dragon Glimmer~
Though currently only one dragon glimmer is owned (by Ectava hehehe), more will become available in the near future. They begin as a pearl, same as normal glimmers, cept' these pearls emerge from the buds of a rare sea flower. The pups emerge in 3 to 4 days, and they already exhibit the traits of a dragon. Their scales are close binded, protecting thick rope muscle that they use to move around.
In anywhere from one to two weeks, depending on roleplay, the pups become adults. The males sprout back blades and become more sleak and elegant. The females however, retain a pudgy likeness to the pups, but their horns become long and sharp ^_^
The pearl stage and pup stage are going to be relined so they are thicker, but the above chart gives you the basic idea ^_^
Nothing Ectava does would ever be complete without some sort of feline ^-^ being that this is the case, I present to you, the Venlenna Prism! This aquatic feline type creature was at first believed to be an odd looking glimmer, but now we know we were very wrong sweatdrop
Instead of starting out as pearls, Prism's begin their life as a gemstone that is actually quite vulnerable to predators... Mostly because they seem to crop up in bad places and are usually out in the open. We gather them when we find them, and they are placed in the nursery immediately O.o
After emerging from their gemstone, the Prism's have two child forms. The newborn must be protected from predators as it is slow and naive. It becomes a kit after a week, and can then begin exploring newer surroundings and environments. Seems that the kits learn very quickly, and grasp the amount of danger in the world almost immediately once they've reached this stage.
They are also extremely fast, able to swim up to 100 mph in mere moments. They can also squeeze into crevices which would be considered itsy bitsy by other creature's standards O.o
As adults the girls and boys both exhibit very different qualities. The boys are leaner, and have sharp fins running along their sides. The girls are fatter and fluffier, and instead of sharp fins they bear leafy tendril like fins that flow with the water. They also have different ears and different head gems...
Boys are always more aggressive, but even so, it appears that Prism's are usually fairly docile.
As soon as they emerge from their gemstones, they are instantly roleplayable by both journal and the guild ^_^
The Scythe is a beautiful water spirit, much like the dolphins of the human world. They are much like Glimmer's in that they need air to survive, and they are normally peaceful creatures which again, makes them vulnerable to predators. They are more graceful than glimmers, and the females can sustain a bit of flight above water. They cannot, however, live above water as their skin requires moisture... just like Glimmers.
This is a sample of the Female Scythe. A full growth chart will be available when Scythes go on sale!
Again there is a fabled fourth form, a new stage in the Scythe's growth, that can only be achieved by roleplay to unlock the Forbidden Cove Shop!

The Strike, again retardly named by Ectava, is a stingray like creature that dwells in the crystal sands surrounding home. They enjoy currentless water, and survive almost entirely on bottom feeding shrimp.

The Strike is a unique Water Spirit, as it has four stages in it's first form. After becoming an adult Strike, the owner can go through some mild journal roleplaying to achieve the stage called "Faye Strike". If the owner would like to continue to roleplay in order to shift the Strike's form to Spirit of the tide, the same system begins to apply!

I was going to wait to explain this item until the first spirit of the tide had been achieved, but then I wouldn't have been able to sell it for so much O.o
The pearl of wishing is a magic item that is worn as an ear stud on ONE ear. It can be worn by male or female of any species of Water Spirit.
Once a spirit has completed their journey to the Hidden Cove and attained a Spirit of the Tide potion (potion that will transform them to a humanoid creature), the pearl will fall from the ear and merge with the spirit, causing them to grow large beautiful faye wings.
These wings are complex, beautiful and custom colored to make sure your spirit stays happy ^_^ They can swim twice as fast and sustain flight above water, though their skin will still require moisture after a certain amount of time.

The Seedy Wee Dragon

Based on the cousin to the sea horse which is called the Weedy Sea Dragon or Leafy Sea Dragon, the Seedy Wee is a clever creature that enjoys solving puzzles and riddles. They cannot speak, but instead make a small "coooo" noise in the back of their throats.
These small creatures don't usually feel the need to venture far from their owners, and if they become lost, they can almost always find their way back home.

available in: pretty much any color you can think of O.o If you want markings though, that's 200 gold extra!

This is based on a jellyfish. I felt that a normal jellyfish would look a bit dull so, I spiced it up with the ever loved anime chibi style! The Oolanku was named after an old box of chinese candy that I had tucked under my bed! No joke....
Oolanku are a non speaking specimen of Spirit Guide. They bubble, and blorp and make smishy noises... I imagine them as also being able to make squibbly noises too whee Other than the fact that they have no mouths, so they cannot speak, the RP'er has complete control. Have much fun with this brand new... thing sweatdrop

3. Creatures of venlenna are water dwelling creatures... meaning, no, a fish can't crawl around on land and be fine. Doesn't work that way. Sometimes, special events may occur that enable a creature to walk on land... Don't modify the rules for your own personal rebellious nature!
4. Be kind to your fellow Roleplayers!
5. Don't run around trying to kill other people's pets. That's a god abillity, and won't be used very often if ever at all, so nur nur. That will also make you become a bit if a pest.
6. Multiple violation of these rules (or any rules for that matter) will result in a placement on the holy blacklist of eternity!!!

Personally, I don't like it when a cool and pretty pet is roleplay only. That puts pressure on people who would much like to own them.... So no, you don't have to roleplay the Water Spirits! If you want them to move on to their next form, called the Spirits of the Tide, then you will have to roleplay. I do this simply because the art for the Spirits of the Tide is all new, no cookie cutter style images, so I only want to make people who are really into all this own them 3nodding 3nodding 3nodding

3. Creatures of venlenna are water dwelling creatures... meaning, no, a fish can't crawl around on land and be fine. Doesn't work that way. Sometimes, special events may occur that enable a creature to walk on land... Don't modify the rules for your own personal rebellious nature!

5. Don't run around trying to kill other people's pets. That's a god abillity, and won't be used very often if ever at all, so nur nur. That will also make you become a bit if a pest.

Personally, I don't like it when a cool and pretty pet is roleplay only. That puts pressure on people who would much like to own them.... So no, you don't have to roleplay the Water Spirits! If you want them to move on to their next form, called the Spirits of the Tide, then you will have to roleplay. I do this simply because the art for the Spirits of the Tide is all new, no cookie cutter style images, so I only want to make people who are really into all this own them 3nodding 3nodding 3nodding

Gohms are large whale like creatures that lurk just outside of the Bay. They are roughly the size of a 747 passenger plane, with glisteningly smooth black skin and grayish white bellies. Only the flesh on their bellies can be pierced in battle.
Even though these creatures appear to be gentle, beware. They have rows and rows of sharp jagged teeth hidden within their huge mouths, and they are silent and swift in the dark waters. Within their natural dwelling, the Gohms are extraordinarily verbal. Their song is eery, and can enchant the unaware into losing their way...
~Rindriss~
(Death Shark)
Designed to closely match the sharks of prehistoric times, Rindriss is decieving in appearance. Though it may appear fat or bulky, it is swift and silent in any body of water it is placed in. It can "smell" in the water, and therefor is difficult to escape in certain situations. Rindriss also detects vibrations from movement...
There are ways to escape this monster, who's teeth can shatter the body of a car in probably 2 seconds flat. It is deaf to all noise, so silence is key in any situation. It detests the taste of any underwater vegetation, and stays far away from it at all times. Hide in a body of sea lettuce or a floating patch of seaweed if this is available xp They are also quite stupid, and can often lose their prey by swimming to fast and passing right over them....
Unlike the Gohms who are always black and gray, Rindriss can be just about any color though their bodies are always dark. Shades of dark red, brown, purple, blue and even green are quite common, adding to the decieving appearance of this monster yet again.

The number one thing to remember about breeding, is that ONLY ADULT WATER SPIRITS can do it! I don't want people asking that dumb question there, "can my baby breed even though she is a newborn?". Don't make the Tava eat you! She'll do it **coughs**
Anyway, onto the breeding part then!
When two adult Spirit's fall in love, they can roleplay together and stuff. Kissing and snuggling and all that mooshy stuff ^-^ If you decide to breed, here is what you need to do!
1. Submit a request by PM to Ectava, and make sure to include proof of the loooooove. In other words, include a link to a page containing one or more roleplaying posts which display the lurve!
PM should look something like this:
Name: (name here) (sex)
Mate: (name here) (sex)
Owners: (name -owner of ?), and (name -owner of ?)
Proof of Relationship: (link meh babeh!)
Why?: (What you are trying to accomplish by breeding)
To keep people from over breeding the Water Spirits, breeding can only take place 3 times a year!
2. Wait patiently for a response from the Tava, as she is very busy. If your request is granted, you then need to roleplay with your Spirits a bit more. We don't want details of intimacy... so don't be vulgar ^-^ You will also need to purchase a one time license from Ectava, and these cost 10,000 (though the price may rise as more owners choose to breed).
3. Now wait patiently for the results. Sometimes it takes a while for the babies to be made and such. Spirits can producs anywhere from one to five offspring at once. The babies emerge as babies, and have no gemstone or pearl form!
4. Now the important decision... What will you do with your baby/babies? Will you keep them all? Or will you sell them? Consult with Ectava or Quinny for suggestions. If both parents were normal, a flatsale may be a good idea. However, if one parent was a rare and the babies are half, auction or raffling may be a valid option.
(Remember, owners get half of all profit from the children that are sold!)
