3.16.05 - Hiatus till further notice, probably spring break. >_< I really hate to do this, but fear not! RPing is now optional and I'll try to make your poor Omni grow. I have NOT forgotten, I'm just on suspension from the net till I get all my missing s**t in, and bllleh that'll take ages. *cry* Sorry, again. I love y'all!!
3.5.05 - We got second place in trebuchet flinging, and now back to Omniland. :B i feeel so shitty >_<
3.2 - I am the busiest person in the world right now, all net things on hold till after this Saturday, due to Science Olympiad.

Omnicibi: Back Story

Between the covers of every book that has ever been read by man, lies a world. A pure, untainted world that we humans haven't touched. Inside this perfect universe there may be corruption, horror, dread- but it is not the fault of a Human.

One could blame the authors for the horrors that lie inside these books(and bless them for the joys)- but that would be wrong.

The authors don't write the books, they simply channel the words of the Other Plane to paper. The 'Other' Plane being the Plane that the book takes place in, it is parallell yet not to ours, which we'll call the Material Plane. The authors are only intepretors of these worlds. Merely translators, though due to the scale they work on, they equivalent of a holy prophet who speaks the word of a God. For, in theory, they are a Deity themselves; they know and see all in the world and are good to their characters.

These worlds are always populated by beings, whether they're Good or Evil, Lawful or Chaotic, or just plain neutral, they exist in their plane, each one of them possessing powers that seem insignificant in the world where the facts are always changing and the landscapes ever shifting, but here on the Material Plane, they hold an advantage over us, although this has always just been theory, totally unproven in any way, shape, or fashion;

Until now.

Every time an event happens in book's plane, it is recorded by the author, forever sealed into existance for eternity in this Plane, so that the Plane where the book actually occurs is never truly forgotten. They remain cheshired and remembered, at least until the copies of the books begin to diminish. Once enough books become old and faded, when the new copies are thrown away, when the books begin to fade...that is when the Plane that the characters exist on must burst free from the binding. They return to remind the world of the love, the loss, the joy and the anger that can only be captured by words laid on a page. They are nothing but a remorseful reminder of what once was, before we destroyed the remnants of their lives.

When these characters arrive on the Material Plane, they are reborn again as an Omnibicus, creatures of the written word. They first appear right before a book falls apart, or is about to be tossed out for the rats the chew on in the gutter, or burned because more room in a shop is needed. They glow and they pulse, calling out to any literate person they can, begging and pleading to their subconcious until one submits. After they recover enough energy that was lost in the Planar jump, they shift into a tiny spirit, only one or two feet tall, at most. These spirits are kind, transparent and very silly, and they tend to be naive of the world around them, requiring its Owner to reteach them everything.

After they gain enough knowledge of the world around them to survive and masquerade as a human child, the Omnibicus then grows into its child state. These children are twice as inquisitive as their spirit forms, being able to touch and look through the world in our eyes, being able to gather information as only a child can.

After a week or two, they age very quickly into a teen. These teens can be moody one second and cheerful the next, and depending on what they do and how you treat them determines how the adult stage will look. Once they reach adult state, they will never age. They will outlive you by millennia, and will wander the earth as story tellers, trying to find out the missing pieces of their past to rewrite their life so they can return.

In the mean time, what will they do, now that they are stranded here in this world? Will you care for them enough to let them grow into the legacy of their former selves, or will you let them attempt to survive and struggle on their own, maybe becoming something more disturbing than you could ever imagine...

Omnicibi: Stages & Examples

Alpha Stage: Book
Stage Length: One to three days if RPing requirements are met.
- All characters from the same book will have the same book cover and will be of the same generation.
- Equivelant to an 'egg' stage.
- The glows around them will hint at the personality of the character, not necessarily their characteristsics.
- While it's in its book stage, you can't do anything but read it.
- When it shakes and stops glowing? That is when your Omnibicus is trying to break free before the last copy erodes...

Bravo Stage: Spirit
Stage Length: One to two weeks if RPing requirements are met.
- Bravo stage will be redrawn each time, no stock lineart
- Same as a 'Baby' stage.
- They're very playful, and can't really talk except for the few words they pick up, but can make a wide variety of sound effects, and they also like to gesture and make hilarious faces at you.
- The spirit stage is the first to actually show the Omni's keepsake, the item that will accompany it for all its life unless something happens to it when you RP

Charlie Stage: Child
Stage Length: Two to three weeks if RPing requirements are met.
- Child stage lineart sketchs are drawn by NinjaSquirrel, I refined them and add everything else.
- One set of lineart for the male and another for the female
- Facial features and hair would be totally customizable, and I would add the same keepsake that the spirit had.
- You must RP here a lot, but not as much as you have to RP the teen stage

Delta Stage: Teen
Stage Length: One to two months if RPing requirements are met.
- Stock lineart totally customized by Tabitha.
- If you want to focus your RPing skills on ONE stage, this is it. This is when your Omni twists and turns and grows and shrinks and becomes good or evil or anything you choose.
- These will look like a mini version of their Book Counterparts, until they are Rped and changed, etc.

Echo Stage: Adult
Stage Length: Forever
- No stock lineart, customly done by me.
- RPing becomes much less demanding at this point.

Facts About Omnibici Roleplaying
- Your Omnibici, up until it reaches its Charlie stage, a child, they know nothing of their origins. Their spirit forms are crude shadows of what the characters were, and its memory is shattered.
- Spirits can say two or three words at a time, at best. Most of the time they repeat one word to get their point across, just like a toddler.
- There is no Omnibici HQ, not right now. We know nothing of the Omnibici, and maybe you should take a look at Tabby's/Squee's/my own journal for an example.
- I know that it may seem boring now, but I promise I will set up a thread for rping, but we are ignorant of their entire being, and they are too, and until this is resolved, we can't really set up an 'HQ' and distribute books till our OWN Omni get old enough for that ^_^;
- Remember, your Omnibicus just totally disassembled itself into their very core being, shoved itself through a planar wormhole and are so weak as to having to lock themselves in books ^_^;;

I'm sorry I didn't explain this before ^o^;

Major Character Requirements:
If you have a Major Character, (MjrC), you MUST roleplay as much as your stage requires. You may RP in the thread, but most action will occur in your Diary/Journal.

Once you get your Omnibicus, I will set up a thread in the breedables & roleplay forum, and you can take it from there. I will watch your thread to see if you've been rping enough, and if you've been doing it (decently!) everyday or MORE, you may just get an early evolution! Once your RP Quota has been filled for the stage and the proper amount of time has passed, I will post and change your image. whee

Rp Quotas:
Book: 2-3 times for the entire stage. One generally telling how you got the book, and the last being you noticing the glow is dying, though I can make this occur.
Spirit: 4 times a week
Child: 5 times a week
Teen: 6-7 times a week
Adult: 4 times a week, and after it's first two months as an adult, 2 times a week.

I can understand if you can't post an amazingly long Entry for all of them, some can be just that you were out all day, or that you were so damn tired because your spirit/child wore you out. xd

However, I'll only let you slide twice, vacation and etc excluded. If you don't do it the first week after that, you'll be warned. Two weeks in a row, you get pmed about your chance of losing your pet, 4 times and I will take your pet and auction/raffle it off as an adult Minor Character(MnrC).

Remember: You can post an entry more than one time a day!

If you have a minor character, it'd be nice if you stopped by every once in a while, but you don't need to at all, your MnrC will not be penalized and it will grow as it would inside its book.

Breeding is available to all couples, M/M, M/F, and F/F. This is because they collaborate and 'write' a book, pouring essences of the both of them in to it.

Your Omni cannot breed till the latter days of its Delta, or Teen, Stage.
Price for Major Characters: 2k
Price for a Major AND Minor Character: 3k
Price for Minor Characters: 4k

Half is paid to me by both owners.

2.24 - I'm having a tough time with hermione's hair and the Cheshire Cat's hair too. May extend the child time by a few days so I can have more time. xd
2.21 - Worked on shop, gave sketches of male/female teen to Tabitha to work on, got NinjaSquirrel's child concept, finished the Adult male concept with add-ons. Will be bigger, likely. Still concepting everything, but this might actually work.
