Welcome to Niamh Glen.
Within this enchanted place are magical cat-like creatures called Niamh.

Puuka has been on a long Hiatus, but is proud to announce her return to Gaia, and the return of the Niam with brand new artwork!
Look forward to all kinds of shiny new things coming in the near future!

To old owners:

I know that alot of you have been waiting for a growth for...... well, a long time. I apologize for this.
I'll be PMing you seperatly.

All of the Niamh that haven't grown will grow into their new stages in the new lineart. (I haven't got the old linework any longer, so there really is no choice, sorry.)

All fully grown Niamh may be done in the new linework, but it will be 2k to upgrade.

Niamh now are no longer winged as a standard. All the previous Niamh are special rare breeds, be they Angelic, Demonic, Fae or Bionic. These are very limited, so feel special <333

May 23, 2006- Niamh Glen has opened its doors again! Look for all sorts of happenings in the thread

Niamh are special creatures, guardians originating from the goddess Miha herself. She chooses special people to bestow a baby Niamh, called a Cailan and with love and guidance, that baby grows into a youth, called a Gair, and then into a beautiful adult, called a Kyna. Some, with extra love and guidance even reach a demi-god or goddess stage similar to Miha.

Here are some pictures of Aldara, our mascot. She is to show you the different stages your Niamh will go through, and the Tag it will have.

This is the Cailan (Kay- lin) stage, the baby stage. Your Niamh will need lots of sleep in this stage, as it has alot of growing to do.

This is the Gair (Gay- er) stage of your Niamh, the youth stage. In this stage, your Niamh is very impressionable, it will learn traits from it's companion that will effect it in it's life.

The Kyna (Kai- na) stage is the last stage a Niamh will achieve. It is now fully grown, and very powerful. It will protect you in this stage, as you protected it while it was young.

This is the Anuar (An- war) stage, it is the final stage a Niamh can achieve. This stage is very special, and not given out lightly. Only special niamh achieve this demi-god status, and very few at that.

1. Read all rules and instructions. Uninformed posts, or rule breaking posts will be ignored.

2. Roleplay isn't necessary, but it is encouraged if you want to change the persuasion, personality, or special traits of your Niamh. It is important if you want your pet to reach the elusive Demi-god/dess stage. I will be opening journals and a thread up for those companions who want to role play.

3. If you don't have the money to pay me, please don't order. I don't want to wait 6 months for you to get up the funds.

4. Please don't harrass me, or spam, this thread, my staff members, or any owners for pets or any other reason. This includes whining, and asking for pets. You can only get a pet from a flatsale or auction.

5. No stealie my art! O.o; This includes the concept. I realize kitty breedables are quite common, and that's okay, but there is a difference in making your own winged animals, and making 'Nimahlings'or something ^^'

6. Please DO direct link your pet, so that it can change forms. Once it has reached it's third stage, please host it yourself within 2 weeks. Photobucket.com is wonderful to host. After two weeks, I will be deleting your pet from my account, and I can't guarantee that it will backed up on my computer.

7. If you have a question, please consult the faq first. If it's not in there, don't be shy, ask me! I'm sure there are 15 other people wondering the same thing ^.^

8. Post all offers in this thread. Something like I want Cailan #1 is fine ^^

Niamh come in a variety of breeds.

The most common are the Cein Niamh.
They are dwellers of the land, Bestowed with gifts of the earth's secrets, they protect its inhabitants and environment.

The Ashling-Niamh hold the ancient magicks. They are born of fae folk, and have glittering gossamer wings on their backs.

Myrnah-Niamh are decended from the heavens. They have large feathered wings like those of an angel, and protect those good at heart.

Forna-Niamh are miscivious by nature. Though not necessarily evil, they tend to be impish in their humor. They have large demonic wings sprouting from their backs.

Gavin-Niamh are a human made species. Though the thought of enhancing the peacful Niamh for weapons is appalling, which the goddess Miha put an end to, the breed still exists, and somehow their metal parts reproduce as well. They have bionic parts and metal wings.

1: Niamh must be of age (Kyna or higher) to breed.

2: It costs 10k (5k from each owner, or 10k if your breeding 2 of your own.) It is 10k because you get at least 2 babies, and that's how much 2 babies cost. ^^

3: You may not sell your cailan, but you can give them away to others, or put them up for adoption. Just let me know so that I can put the right name on the tag, and gift wrap the cailan.

4: You will recieve at least 2 Cailan. That's one per owner, and maybe some left over. Please don't fight over who gets which colors, or who gets the odd number. If it comes down to it, I will pick.

5: This is something I thought I'd adress. If Cailan are bought from a basket flatsale, or are from an auction, they CAN breed, they are not siblings by blood, and it's not icky ^.^
You cannot however breed 2 littermates. (Like if two Cailan breed and have a boy and girl, You cant breed that boy and girl.) That is Icky ^.^;

6. Same gender breeding is okay. It's not Icky ^.-

7. Niamh don't have to RP love, or really even be in love to have a litter, and your Niamh can have different partners. Most don't have human "love" (though, if you choose, you can RP your Niamhs and have them fall in love ^.- This is just because I don't want RP to be in any way mandatory.)

These are some of the pets I really want, But I'm open to most trades.
Please don't be offended if I turn down a trade for something that's not on my list. It may not be that I don't like your pet, it may just be that I have no time for a custom. -.-:
I am willing to do any fair trade a custom for a custom, flat for a flat or some other deal if you want to work one.
BTW, I'm not fond of RP mandatory pets, so if you wanna make an exception...
