Welcome to Eternal Nights! Formally known as Lords of Night. Some of you may remember the old thread <<here>> but to most of the population here in the B/C it just may be a new concept. We specialize in gargoyles and lycans, telling their stories in a setting completely their own! The realm of Eternal Nights is exactly what it says it is, a place where the sun never shines, and monsters roam the lands without fear of morning's first light. It's a place of cruelty and deception, with nothing but the law of tooth and fang to govern the two most pivotal races as they threaten each others very existence: A blood feud that's been going on between the two races ever since their time began centuries ago.

Art theft is a big no-no, and punishable by blacklisting, after of course, you've been reported for doing so.
(2)
If you place an order for a pet, you have 24 hours to pay for it. After that I will not accept payment unless you send a PM to the mule, telling me why you weren't able to do so earlier.
(3)
I'd rather not have you take your pet and run with it. Stick around, chat in the thread, let me know you're still alive and kicking.
(4)
I will not reserved pets for anyone, all events will be first come first serve unless stated otherwise in the rules for that event.
(5)
Do not start arguements with the staff members, they do have the right to give you warnings that will count towards a three strike system.
(6)
Fighting will not be tolerated in this thread. If you and someone else have a disagreement, please take it to pm and deal with it there. Any fights started in the thread and not taken to PM will be dealt with by me; and I doubt it will leave me in a good mood afterwards.
(7)
Feel free to resize the cert if it does not fit into your sig very well, but do not remove the credits.
(8.)
RP is not required for your pet to grow, however, I do enjoy a good rp. So if you ever need a buddy to randomly grab for a quick rp, feel free to throw an offer my way; more then likely I'll bite.
(9)
PM all questions to the mule, Stone Guardian.

Although most gargoyle clans vary greatly in the day-to-day detail of their lives, most seem to have a similiar structional dynamic. The first thing to know is that there is always one or two individuals considered to be 'at the top of the food chain', meaning these gargoyles are definately in charge of making decisions that affect the clan as a whole. It's generally accepted that they have the best intentions and always take the clan's other members into consideration, unless proven otherwise through misdeeds, so for the most part what they say goes. They are also expected to uphold a certain level of order wintin the group, as well enforce laws and punishments that have more often than not been in place since the begining of the clan. However, not just anyone can become a leader, and though they most likely will need to prove themselves in some way, the specifics are left up to each clan to decide when its first formed.

Another similiarity all clans share is the breaking down its members into specialized groups, known as ranks. A common rank for clans to have is a warrior, where gargoyles are trained by each other and more experianced group members to protect the clan against harm. Other specific tasks for a warrior rank may be given out depending on the clan's needs, and is not always exclusive to fighting off enemies. Other than the warrior rank, its common to see hunters as another specialized group: these are gargoyles that are extremely stealthy and capable of taking down large enough prey to feed most of the members of the clan. They can work in groups or alone, depending on what the individual prefers. This being said, not every member of the clan needs to take part in a rank, for any member of the clan is welcome to enjoy the comforts of the well established society without any further need to envolve themselves in strenuious activity. Of course, they're often the lowest members of the clan, and do not always get a chance to offer their opinion in serious clan matters.

<<This information only pertains to the EtNs gargoyle clan, all other clans or lycan packs have their rank information setup in their own personal subforum in the guild.>>

This shop focuses on the importance of battle and the law of claw and fang for the realm of Eternal Nights, and in particular the role each individual plays during a fight. For the EtNs clan, particular types of gargoyles have natural abilities that help them perform in certain ranks. Ranks are made up of gargoyles who chose to further enhance and train these abilities for the use of battle, and are the only one's of their clan who are capable of such feats. All others do have the potential to hone their skills, but have so far only barely scratched the surface of what they're capable of. These gargoyles do not belong to a rank, and are considered 'citizens' of the clan.

Citizen
Simply said, citizen's do not partcipate in battle unless the need is dire. They do not have the training their fellow gargoyle's received and usually only have their claws or other natural weapons to rely on. For this reason, they are urged to remain a safe distance away while the warrior ranks take care of the problem. They are also subjected to obeying the Commander, the Divine, and the Alpha hunter. That being said, citizens are welcome to become hunters so long as they do not attempt to jump into combat with the warrior ranks.

Hunter
A group of gargoyles that make it their duty to provide the clan with enough food to survive. They may not be welcomed into combat situations like the warrior ranks, but hunters are just as important as most gargoyles aren't reliable enough on a day to day basis to catch their own food. The master hunter, someone who has proven themselves to not only be competent in what they're doing but truly understand what it means to be a hunter takes their place as the alpha. An alpha hunter is highly regarded within its group and the clan as a whole.

<<<The Warrior Ranks>>>
Fighter
These gargoyles are masters at melee combat, and more often than not have trained with a weapon of their choice for most of their adult lives. To underestimate one in battle is usually a deadly mistake, as they have no qualms with ending the life of a creature that threatens their clan. The fighter rank is divided into three sub-groups, all depending on the gargoyle's experiance. The first and most common is the soldier rank, they take orders from officers and the commander. An officer is a gargoyle that's proved themselves to be the strongest and most experianced of the soldiers- they issue orders to lower members and answer only to the commander. There are currently only two officer positions available in the clan. Above the officers is the one and only commander, a fierce gargoyle who battled their way up the ranks to claim the highest post: their word is seldom refuted by any clan member and done so with great caution.

Mage
Gargoyles that find themselves in this category are well endowed when it comes to magical ability. In battle, they use their magic to support the melee combatents of their clan, while crippling the enemy and rendering it useless in battle. Some have even been known to master healing abilities. There's less organization for this group, as they tend to do as they wish in battle without following orders; however, a few them have risen above the other members in terms of ability and border on devasting power. These gargoyles are called Divine, for they have not only mastered their natural magical abilities, they've manifiested unique powers that no other mage can claim. The Divine are the closest thing this rank has to an elite.

Rogue
An odd group of gargoyles mixed with both EtNs and refugees from other clans. They specialize in being stealthy, and are capable of sneaking up on an enemy unseen and attacking when the time is right to aid their fellow fighters and mages in battle. Hunters often belong in this category of warrior rank, and though they're not expected to do both, its very common for them to do so anyway. Naturally that means the rogues will often follow the word of the alpha hunter, as they have no other means of organization.

  • Both partcipants need to be at the adult stage.
  • Gargoyles can breed if they're from different clans.
  • Pack and Barbarian lycans can produce offspring, but *more info to come after meta-plot*
  • You may only keep one offspring per breeding, the others will need to find homes else where.
  • Any breeding is 8k total, or 4k from each owner of a parent.

Gargoyle - Any Clan: Produces 2 to 4 offspring per breeding. Does not have to be a female x male relationship, due to the fact that gargoyles don't give birth to their young. They have a soul binding process that interweaves their essence together and develops in one of the many stone guardian children that line the great halls of the castle. A union between gargoyles is often times permanent, meaning they mate for life; however, there are some instances where if emotions are severe enough they are able to break their union with their partner and take on another suitable mate for future offspring. This is extremely rare, and usually never occurs more than once in a gargoyle's lifetime, if at all.

Pack Lycan: Produces 3 to 5 offspring per breeding. Unlike gargoyles, lycans give birth to live young, so only a union between a male and female will bring about pups. For more information about lycan relationship/breeding tradions, please read through this thread in the guild.

Babarian Lycan: Produces 1 to 3 offspring per breeding. *More info to come*

Well, something you've done has really upset the gargoyles, and when they get upset they tend to pound the living shiz out of the offender.

You will be banned from posting in the thread until I receive a sincere and lengthy apology from you in pm, or I feel you've been up here long enough. Ex: weeks or months depending on what happened.

<<No one, thankfully>>
