But wasn't that not supposed to happen?

Well, I've got two character ideas that I'd like to give to two good RPers, so I decided to hold a contest!

What is this for, exactly?

You'll want to read that, but if you're pressed for time, I'll summarize now.

I run a roleplaying thread called Tarot Story. The RPers are all representations of different Major Arcana cards...there are 22 in all. Each card has a very unique history and set of traits to make it different from all the other cards, and everyone plays a roll in the history of the castle which they seem to find themselves at. The purpose of the RP is partially to discover your past, and partially to figure out what it is you're doing at the castle(the future). There will be lots of random events, some fights, some fun surprises...and whatever storyline you'd like to develop for yourself, as well. You will also get to chose a "class" and three skills that will be unique to you.

In addition, each role-player gets three distinct works of art. The first is a general, everyday outfit one, the second is with a fancy outfit, and the third...well, thats a surprise. ^^

The catch?
Winners of the contest will have to fork over 10k to cover the costs of my time and the artwork. But considering what you get, its fairly reasonable. Just ask those already involved. ^^

The two cards to compete for are the Heirophant card and the High Preistess card. Winners will get some say in how their card looks...hair color, eye color, general colors on the card, but I'll decide the outfits and poses.

Rules for the contest:

1. I love bumpers. ^^ The person that bumps the most will get a special prize, so if you're interested, keep track of how many times you post in your posts.
2. No discouraging people from entering. Encourage all you like, though.
3. Give me a day after the contest to read through all the entries and decide. This way I can consult others if the decision looks to be a tough one.
4. No Whining about how long the contest is or how much the cards cost. They are that way for a reason.
5. Feel free to edit your posts up until the deadline.
6. Minimum angst, please. We've all lost contests before...and there is always a next time. ^^
7. Please read as much info as you can before asking a question. I'm a pretty patient person, but I hate answering the same Q over and over again.
8. All entries posted before the contest official beginning or after the contest end WILL be ignored.
9. Friends can enter for you, and then bequeath the card to you. If this is done, however, it MUST be said directly after the winners are announced.
10. I reserve the right to revoke a winner if they don't follow the rules stated in the Tarot thread when they RP.
11. I'll add more as I think of them. ^^

Pseudo: What are you asking, exactly?

The 10k is because you get three pieces of art....a good roleplay that looks like it could last for a good while, and because I put in at least an hour a day to maintaining the thread and checking the journals, etc. I try to pull a little bit back out from that.
And thats not too steep at all. I auctioned a card off a few weeks ago that went for 100k.

I do like your art, but I prefer that all the cards be drawn by me for continuity.
